45:05 - My friend I have been riding since I was 11 years old. That was 1978. I started on a moped. In 1994 I had a horrific accident from which I survived and recovered 100% after 3 years. This is only my advice but don't mess with rearview mirrors simply because you want your bike to look cool. They are possibly the most important component in terms of safety. Make sure you can clearly see everything behind you for at least 50 meters. The original stock mirrors on your Rebel are fantastic in that sense, don't sacrifice safety just for aesthetics. Take care. Mike.
It's great to ride. Very comfortable at 170cm. Also still easy to turn. I can ship them but that would be $280 delivered aud or $182usd which was my price. It may not be feasible with the delivery charge in top from Australia
I'm going ahead with the Diablo bars, but there's no info anywhere on the internal size for bar end mirrors. I'm not paying 10 times the price for Diablo ones, if universal ones will fit ok. I managed to pull of the stock grips, so will reuse them. Could you help?
I've had a few mirror setups since then. You can see them all on my Instagram Tweaked Rebel. With the ones shown in this video I could see clearly but slightly dipped my head to view. It depends on your height. I'm 170cm tall if you are taller you will need to look further downwards
I didn't drill it, the kspeed bar is hollow. You would need to start off with a pilot hole and keep going larger until it's the right size for your bar end inserts
@@TweakedGSX that’s nice to know. It’s definitely something I’m wanting to do alongside the fender. But at the same time I want to be able to take my partner on the back and I need saddlebags for long distance trips I do to Rocky. I’m looking at the Burly Brand Tail Tidy
This trend doesn't seem to be popular in Japan which is where I have bought my parts, but it would be popular in the states. Maybe try Burley brand, failing that the Facebook groups would be where I'd search next 👍
Please make sure that you read the video description and check out the necessary links before commenting, to save my sanity. Cheers!

It is good advice. I was born in 78, and yes I have changed mirror setups since posting these videos. I now have them Installed facing up
Looks awesome 😎! How does it feel riding now? Also would you ship the risers to United States?

Hey Juzzie!! Binge watching your vids per usual. Do you think the kspeed drag bar will fit on the rebel 1100?
Kspeed could confirm but so long as the bar diameter is the same then it could be. The controls require one hole each side of the bars to lock into
So what do you think guys?

Check my latest video at 19 minutes
What spray did you use to spray inside the throttle grip? Is it just any hair spray
Yes any standard hair spray
Do you have problems to take a look when you need tu use the mirrors?

What size Drill Bit did you use to make that hole on the throttle?
I didn't drill it, the kspeed bar is hollow. You would need to start off with a pilot hole and keep going larger until it's the right size for your bar end inserts
How did you go with that number plate? I’m in QLD also but I thought those number plates were illegal? I’m hoping I’m wrong because I really want to
I haven't had any issues. I use an extension bracket which makes it viewable at 45 degree angles from the rear which is compliant 👍
@@TweakedGSX how have you gone with lane filtering? Does it make the bike any wider or cause any dramas or stress?
@@callismo it's narrower than the handlebars so it's no problem but it is a trip hazard for people walking around the bike that have no idea

Any idea where I’d find ape hangers for the rebel 500?

Burly Brand has 12” ape hangers for the 1100. Not sure if they fit a 500
The link to the drag bar doesn’t work. Do you have the name or part number of the bar?
Go to google, search kspeed and navigate to the Rebel 500 section
do you know if these would work for an 1100?
I only know about my bike as mentioned in my videos.
Can we get a before and after difference pictures?
On my instagram
