I like this car for what its offering and price is justifiable I guess (first impression) . Don't care if its Chinese . Its quick, very good range, safe as well. Only thing is to see how this car ages when customers buy it and use it for a long term. Hopefully BYD service would be good as it grows.
Instead of these 30-40 lakh electric behemoths, companies should make an electric car that can fight the maruti alto 800. I feel buyers of that category will benefit a lot (people who only want something for going from A to B while being efficient and easy to maintain). It doesn't have to be immensely powerful, feature rich or big in size. Only needs decent range. The Tiago EV is a step in the right direction, but still way too expensive.
EVs should be either RWD or AWD, not the FWD even by mistake. FWD literally robs all the driving feel and excessive wheel spin wear out tyres quickly.
Chinese companies are smart, Indian companies and govt is behind, we still are instaling 25 KW ev charging stations, US, China are going for 350KW. A huge export and domestic market will be soon lost to these Chinese companies, like Vivio, Xiaomi, we will have BYD
