The Nestor story is pretty amazing. 6 years in the minors with the Yankees. Baltimore grabs him in the rule 5 draft in 2018,only to be released that same year. Returns to the Yankees in 2019 and then is traded to Seattle only to be released by them a year later. Comes back to the Yankees in 2021 and has been great ever since
@@marcfortier6632 I was born and raised in the NY area and hate most things New England with a white hot passion. Although I was rooting for the Celtics to sweep the Nets because Kyrie is an absolute clown. And yes, Nestor, Jose and Giancarlo were great to listen to.
That's exactly why I still play in a men's 45+ league in metro Atlanta at the age of 56. It just still feels good to steal bases, hit dingers and running balls down in the outfield. I'll go until I can't go 'no mo!'
The Gimenez behind the back flip to Tim Anderson, the back-to-back Stanton/Buxton shots, Kershaw's pick-off of Ohtani, and Trevino's quick story about catching at the plate in a regular game, asking Ohtani in Japanese what kind of protein he takes 😂
@@sgtpickles1319 Yeah the only people who can be negatively affected by it is their own pitcher. So there is no need to worry about fairness since if its an annoying helmet their own teammates will complain 😂
This was so cool! Loved hearing these guys talk to each other and to the booth about the game. Especially enjoyed the conversations with Smoltz and all the pitchers, and Trevino’s commentary. Brings a new meaning to the phrase, “inside baseball”. Hope we get this again next year this was a hoot!
It’s great to see these guys having fun and messing around. I was at this game and wow! Just the atmosphere and energy was incredible! Fans were having fun and heckling one another with no bad blood, such a fun experience
Not a Yankee fan (lifelong Sox fan) but as a fan of baseball, I appreciated Cortes and Trevino being mic'd up and allowing us to hear the conversation between pitcher and catcher and their thought process. Trevino is also a class guy for the way he carries himself; congratulating opposing hitters for their All Star game appearance. 2022 is indeed an odd time.
It was really cool having the players mic up and seeing the Umpire have his own camera during The All Star Game! MLB needs to do this more often! I don’t see every game happening with this but at least a good amount of games they should do this! It’s interesting hearing the players talk and having the umpire camera!
FOX gotta be biased for favoring the NL to win the all star game. Lol like AL hasn’t won 9 straight now. I mean look at all the talent the AL has right now. Toronto Blue Jays got Alejandro Kirk, Vladdy Guerrero Jr, Santiago Espinal, George Springer, Alek Manoah & Jordan Romano. Houston Astros got Jose Altuve, Kyle Tucker, Yordan Alvarez, Justin Verlander & Framber Valdez. Boston Red Sox got Rafael Devers, Xander Bogaerts & JD Martinez. Chicago White Sox got Tim Anderson & Liam Hendriks. New York Yankees got Aaron Judge, Giancarlo Stanton, Jose Trevino, Nestor Cortes & Gerrit Cole. Los Angeles Angels got Mike Trout & Shohei Ohtani. Detroit Tigers got Miguel Cabrera and Gregory Soto. Minnesota Twins got Luis Arraez & Byron Buxton. Seattle Mariners got Ty France and the rookie of the year Julio Rodriguez. Cleveland Guardians got Andres Jimenez, Jose Ramirez & Emmanuel Clase. Texas Rangers got Corey Seager & Martin Perez. Kansas City Royals got Andrew Benintendi. Tampa Bay Rays got Shane McClanahan. Oakland Athletics got Paul Blackburn. And the Baltimore Orioles got Jorge Lopez. I mean look around. The American League is freaking loaded with talent. Stop sleeping on them. Fast forward from 2013, some things have changed but one thing hasn’t. They still own the National League
Bruh I’m a twins fan so when Judge and Stanton were hanging out on the mic I was laughing at the thought of Buxton just alone in center in between them being left out, poor mans😂😂😂
Imagine a running back or wide receiver talking to the spectators or commentators while receiving a handoff or pass and then having to run like a madman.
I’ve been out of the loop on baseball this year, seeing Atalanta finally win the chip after 25 years took so much out of me and watching Freddie leave and these new developments have heartbroken me. That being said, this made me so happy there’s nothing I love more than athletes talking about the game in their lingo not just the announcers that are writers. That’s why I love analysts that are former players. They really bring out the mental beauty of the game.

Cool name!
Thanks for sharing that, I didn't know.
Maybe this is why he's so relaxed on the mound?...he's seen it all.
@@TraceKoz cool name!
@@scotte1989 No way! Lol. This is a legendary moment
Nestor the Molestar
Listening to the back and forth between Nestor and Trevino was an absolute treat, as was listening to Trevino as he got a hit and ran the bases
I was born and raised in New England and hate the Yankees with a white hot passion. That being said, I couldn't agree more. Stanton was great too.

I barely heard anything they said, lol. Pitcher catcher life.
@@FTS82 Yes sir. Two MVPs right there. Awesome players...both of them.
Born and raised in Brooklyn, now a Carolinian. But a Mets fan all day every day.
Manoah to smoltz: “back door slider? You’re sexy” 😂
They’re like little kids playing ball out there. I love it!

All great moment! Love this game
Kersha Balk for sure …. Lots of lefty do that but is the all star and he’s a Dodger
Even though I'm not a fan of his team, The NY skyline on Trevino's mask, beyond epic! 👏👏👏🙌🙌🙌
They should allow guys to paint masks like hockey goalies

Feels weird to hear the players talk, in my head every player, manager and ump in the MLB just sound like Jomboy
Fax bro
“Three punches, let’s go!!” This kid is awesome. Was great hearing him and everyone else
I love baseball speak. That's a good one. Sounded more like "punchies" which kills me.
Manoah has a fan in me moving forward! This was hella dope! Hopefully we got more of this in actual games kinda like the NFL does
this aged well

the dialogue between Nestor and Trevy while they were pitching was amazing. pls more of this!!

It is good to see the players smiling and playing baseball😀😀
That was an absolute treat!! Especially as Yankee fan watching Trevino and Nestor!!
MLB needs to do this more in the regular season. Helps fans relate to players and see what they are like.
Yankees represented tonight!! 👏 🗽
Best idea, to mic the players during the game. love this game!
Manoah was awesome 😂
The live mics at the all star game is a really great idea. Very cool!
How baddass is it for Manoah to talk while blowing away MLB all-star hitters! Love that cam angle behind the plate!
Watching these players enjoy eachother's company is super cool. I didn't know most baseball players were so cordial
Best all star game in all of sports. Good on mlb

Liam Hendricks is the greatest human in the MLB love watching anything hes in.
What a memory for Jose I know Jose’s uncle Abel what an achievement for Jose and his hard work good job representing your community back home
that was a cool moment. Jose is my cousin, and Bele is my uncle as well. I was smiling from ear to ear when Jose was mic'd up.
My uncle David Ramirez knows your family tell Abel he knows ,glad he made the allstars well deserved
How could u not love baseball. Lets go NYY
Yankees let's go
MANOAH SEGMENT WAS EMMY WORTHY

Every game should be as fun as this!
Every catcher knows when the runner starts playing the dirt, 8/10 times they bouta steal🤣
The coolest thing I've seen in a long time.
who Doesn't love Trevino
judge and stanton’s mic’d up was funny😂😂
I sooooo wanted the game to be tied so we can get a mini homerun derby !!!
They need to bring this to the league. Pitchers being mic'd up makes the game more entertaining.
Nah, I think the players need to be more focused and locked in with no distractions.
Cole a chill dude man
As a Pirates fan I miss him dearly
Liam Hendricks may be my favorite pitcher in baseball.
5:20 “See if I can get a hit.”
He got a hit.
"see if I get a hit" -stanton Ends up hitting a two run blast immediatley
Best part of the ASG by far! Please do this again.
Liam Hendricks at the end “serica mesaca meba” hahaha
Y’all should do this in the games. I’d watch them lol
This would make regular baseball so much fun
This was so wholesome! Like watching a real life sand lot lol
these camera angles should be in every regular game
Best thing ever... especially pitcher talking to catcher
God it’s definitely looking like our year I’m so proud to be a Yankees fan 😁💯. Hopefully we can win it all just like 2009
This comment age like milk 😂
They need to do this at all games

We should have All Star votes for umpires. So the best umpires with the least amount of blown calls get rewarded as well.
