  • join me on my BIGGEST adventure yet! I have travelled to MacGillycuddy's Reeks in County Kerry to climb Irelands tallest Mountain Carrauntoohil.
My hike began from Hydro Car Park, crossing over a stile it will lead you onto a steep tractor road called the Hydro Track. Follow the Hydro Track till you come to a gate what you'll need to cross which will bring you onto a hiking path, Following the path it will bring you in to a valley next to lough Eighter (a lake in a shape of an eight). Take the trail to the right what will bring you up to Caher West Top.Then continue over the ridge on Caher Mountain to Cahers East top. If you get a clear sky the views from the ridge is totally out of this world. After reaching Cahers East top Irelands third highest peak then continue on to Carrauntoohil Irelands highest peak for some more other worldly views totally breathtaking.
Carrauntoohil is a Mountain which Phoenix has wanted to climb since the age of 4 or as he called it back then the one with the BIG Cross. Now at seven years old his dream has became true and he's climbed Irelands highest peak, now what he knows as Carrauntoohil.
Please consider subscribing an join Phoenix on many more journeys.
