OK, so I'm 62 years old and saw the Dominos on 11/25/70 in Chicago and here I am taking lessons from a very young man on how to play this tune. Kudos to you Mr. Stachowski! Thank you and please keep on.
Son of a gun, I was at the Dominoes show in November 1970 at Chicago's Auditorium Theatre too! Great show, backed up by a young piano player...let me see - oh yeah his name was Elton John.
Great job, nice to see you youngsters digging some REAL rock & roll...been listening and playing to the Layla LP for over 40yrs...My senior friends and I are going to make a disc of our favorite tunes for posterity...this song and "its too late" will be on it...Colin, keep on keepin on!!
I'm enjoying all these. The guitar is more prominent, the tone is right, and it's fun to see how one might play it including chords. Just so much fun. Thanks Colin!
What I like is that you’re playing the blues. It looks like this video was a minute ago. Years ago I played with 2 of ECs Tulsa band. Dick Sims and Jamie Oldaker. Great playing man
Colin my friend I must say I really enjoy your playing, it all seems so effortless although I know it takes hours of practice. Also nice clear well orchestrated videos, great quality, clear concise and smooth. Rock on!!!
One of my all time favs as well, also seeing all the fans that comment and how you comment back shows what a stand up guy you are. Thanks for leading a path for people like myself to learn these cool tunes!!
colin you are wonderful guitar player and you have got a very nice sound(guitar and amp...).sometimes in this great song i think you play E chord instead of B played for a while.. isnt it? at the end of the chorus.let me know what you think about it.
Nicola Gabbas I like that you pay that much attention to my humble videos! That's great! Do you mean the very last E chord right after 'Tell the truth...' line comes in? The one stopping the chorus?
your video are not humble but very good, i think its a B chord at about 2:25 of the song before the key change... you have a nice sound what do you use for it ( i mean guitar, amplifier , effects?). ciao
Did you know that on Keep on Growing, that Clapton played all the Guitar parts, track on track not only that but he played them (3 or 4 layers ) without hearing the previous track, just listening to bass drums and keyboards? So says Boby Whitlock and he was sitting right there. check out Bobby Whitlock and Coco Carmel 's RUclips channel all kinds of info about Derek and the Dominos and much more, nice job, I play it on my Blackie Strat .

Awesome great job and good show with the slide. One of my favorites from that record as well.

Hey Colin, nice cover man!!! You like it more to play the e-guitar, than a accoustic like me?
Hey, Great job. I really enjoyed your cover on this tune. Quick question, what amp and pedal setup are you using to get your amazing tone. Thanks!
I am playing through Amplitube 3 with Fender '57 Champ addon.

Nicola Gabbas I think it's okay with the E chord.

+Maria Fernanda Vicente Thank you! Maybe I will get one, someday... Cheers!
świetny jesteś !!
I like it I really like Derek and the dominos anyway
El mejor rock
Thanks!
It was done with a glass slide also, take the tin out
I use what I have but I agree - this solo should only be done with coricidin bottle.
that is most definitely Duane playing slide......the first 3 songs on layla are without Duane.
Mostof the lead playing is Duane but the first slide solo is eric.
Original is Duane, I have the album. The best since is Derek Trucks
I believe you're right!
lol the slide
Glad you've enjoyed it!
