This really highlights the shortcomings of TSW when this is possible in an older product and how lazy the simulation aspects of TSW are implemented.
Having worked with 377s as an engineer, I think this looks phenomenal! And a huge step forward for EPs.
They've done a great job of simulating power limits under DC, and blending of dynamic and air braking. Great to see use of the TMS (when you start a unit from cold it shows the Windows XP logo, top marks if they've simulated that 😂) I also love the smiley face on the line light - very authentic

@@aaronvandam3409 yeah the older units do, 377 subclasses 1-5 I think. 377/6-7, 387s and 379s probably run something newer.

You’ll notice when in multiple the acceleration is weaker, this is very true to the real thing. A 4 car is like a sports car compared to a 12 car. Excellent work by AP.
Damn, AP must find a way to overhaul TSW rolling stock like this.

It does beg the question why it couldn't be done this well in the first instance. I feel that in order to get a decent model of a loco or unit, you have to pay twice: Once to buy the base model, and then again for AP to make it acceptable. Anyone else feel this?

I dont seem to understand why so many people are hating on this Enhancement Pack, it just seems that you can never please everyone in this fandom.
Now me being fair here i'm not gonna straight up say it's perfect and flawless because it is not and will probably never be.
Im gonna be the small few and give my five cents on what I like & dislike about this pack:
The general visuals and the extra included features such as the MITRAC & the inclusion of GSM-R are a very nice touch and unprecedented
The external textures are very nice, and the new destination displays are also top notch.
However from what I've noticed there are a number of things I am unsure about.
The motor sounds seem too quiet for me, and the door sounds are also a tad bit too quiet.
The Horn sounds off, but I cannot comment too much on how accurate it is as I have only ever heard it once or twice.
The interior run & motor sounds seem too quiet.
I've also noticed a couple of people mentioning about the light clusters and that they seem off, but I personally don't see anything wrong with it from my Point of View. Another point is the fact that there are "apparently" a lack of liveries which is I dont seem to understand. But knowing this community well, there will be people who are talented enough to make those liveries which are missing.
But are these negative points enough to make me dislike this product?

Of course there will be mistakes here and there. People don’t understand everything can be perfect.
I’ve got it and man I am impressed! I have a fair few scenario ideas ready for me to make this evening after I’ve had a play for a few hours. If you want to use any of mine for a stream or video then please feel free too! I’ll upload them to ats this evening
When I finished driving these in 2011 the following was the case
Speed set - Not permitted not even the 3 mph for washers, these now on 375/8 will now operate the anti ice tank discharge.
Extreme weather protection - Is for winter ops and is actually on the 375/377 now labelled 'Ice Mode'
CD - When the units were first built (and the equipment is still there I believe) the cupboard above the non driver side window contained a Compact Disk player and this button would allow the driver to play a CD via the public address system
Vehicle off peak - This would reduce the saloon lighting to I believe half lighting and was offically meant to be used when the unit was berthed out of service during the day. I.e if the set had formed a train to Charing Cross then ECS to Grove Park Depot, on arrival at Grove Park the driver was meant to press the off peak button to save power.

The PIS button would allow you to put in a two digit code (02 for instance was Train terminates here) which would then play a message over the PA system
The event overview I recall was for the fitters to be able to view any fault codes that had taken place and needed a special log in code and password. It could only be accessed from a non active driving cab.

Ngl, its actually good and the sliding Destination are on point but the sounds im gonna give it a 8/10. And the only train there missing out is the Class 325 Mail train.
In a way, its a shame that the 379 and 387 weren’t included!
its a 375/377 Pack, maybe AP will make a separate pack for the 379 and 387
If you saw on their website it was mentioned that they did not include the /6 & the /7 sub-classes because of the fact they were slightly different to the earlier sub-classes hence why they were not included.
I mean the 379 technically was as thats the traction recording. Thats why it doesn't quite fit with these.

Hey Alan, what is the secret to your antialiasing / anisotropic filtering settings is TS classic? Yours are literally the *only* videos on RUclips where there isn't horrible shimmering of distant objects. How do you achieve this? I've tried overriding TS AA/AF settings using Nvidia Inspector, I bought and tried RW Enhancer, tried everything! With max AA/AF settings in TS, I still get awful shimmering and aliasing in the sim. What's your secret?! :o)
The Mitrac drivers screen is quite abit different to a 387! And as for the Cambridge attaching and detaching! It’s a massive pain 😂😂
I bought this pack and I love it 😍
I know everyone is super impressed with this pack but it has so many minor issues that really annoy someone like me who sees and hears them all day everyday. The motor sounds are off especially in the mid tones. The liverys are hugely dissapointing and have some odd colour choices and some are just wrong. The horn is also weird and doesnt sound like the train I can literally hear right now outside. Its a decent pack but it has more and more issues that will never be patched.

Quite expensive for the pack, but will wait for the sales. EDIT: Also I wish you could get this for a discounted price if you had the old pack.
South Western Trainspotter & Buses for a train of this realism it’s extremely cheap. Could easily be about £20-£25 pound. We are rarely lucky compared to flight sim dlc prices aha

The acceleration is a bit slow In comparison even for a 12 car, but other than that its cool

shame its just a 375/77 enhancement pack, not an electrostar enhancement, cuz i would have loved the 378, 379 and 387s too, but regardless it seems like a high quality product, as youd expect from AP
Noel_p2002 if they did that it would be like £30 at least then you’ll get everyone complaining, I think they will cover most electrostar at some point
what if ap did the wherry lines for tsw with a 37,68,153,156,170 and a 90 for 90 drags
but if it added in tsw will it look good YES NO because then doing new layout in United Kingdom soon
