I've tried them all. To me, they're very stiff and not fun to play with. They feel very similar to the STL stuff. Wouldn't be surprised if the algos were licensed or something. Neural DSP is still king, to me. Don't get me wrong, they can sound good. But why bother when Neural DSP sounds and feels better to play?
I bought the Amped ML Plexi, Amped ML800 and Amped Bass. All of them sound good for Punk Rock sound. But my favourite VST AMP is still the "Amplifikation Creme" made by Kuassa. ML Sound Lab is a very interisting company and I´m sure, that I will buy some more stuff of them in future.
@@VVVY777 I get out of the STL amphub good sound with bite when use the parametric EQ that is build in. set LP freq to 4 khz. set HS freq to 1.6 khz and HS gain to 6-12 db. maybe such a setting get more bite out of the ML sound lab things too
I think should be intresting a conparison between ML Soundlab amps and Neural Dsp amps using the new ownhammer essential irs. Anyway your mix demo are Always awesome, they really sounds great
You should check Mercuriall Audio new Dual Rectifier plugin. It's insanely good! I think is the best Dual Rec sim I've heard. Also would like to share how much I enjoy your videos and your reviews. I always come for the reviews and end up staying for the riffs! Dual Recs are my favorite also... but never owned one. Here in Brazil they cost as much as a car lol But one day I'll get one!
This is by far the best i have heard the JJ model and for that matter the double burger as well. I am curious what if anything you are using in post after the amp (ie compressors, eqs, HPF, LPF, etc...). Great video
Every time I want to spend money on gear I look up reviews and demos on RUclips and ALWAYS end up on your reviews, and then generally buy it because you can make a box of cereal sound awesome!. ALWAYS! I don't know whether to thank you or be mad at you! Hahaha! Another EXCELLENT video!
I can NEVER get my tones sounding this good no matter the plugin lol. I'm obviously doing something wrong..Does anyone have a good tutorial for dialing in tones??
Out of all the amp plugins available out there, ML Sound Lab's sound the worst and behave very different from the physical amps that they are trying to model. Don't waste your money. Try before you buy.
Have you tried ML Sound Lab amps? Which one is your favorite?

@@VVVY777 meanwhile I gravitate to ML and STL, having owned most of Neurals plugins. Don’t find anything palm mutes quite like stl though.

Fluff 2C, ML5 and ML800. MLBass is great too.
That Flagship clip sounded stellar!🔥
The Death Magnetic Coffin Box tee c. 2008 is immaculate drip
I have the plexi plug in and it’s my go to for marshall tones.

In you hands everything sounds great! You are a the Tone Wizard!

Flagship JJ model and Burger with OH impulses are my go-to pair. Flagship is probably the best amp emulation currently on the market.
Holy moses in Guatemala, the Flagship clip sounded so greeeeat !
Amped Flagship!! 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 ark is also a banger 🔥
Dual and Flagship are my go to plugins, such good sounds and feel !
Flagship is superb!
ive tried the fluff free version of ml sound lab I bought into neural dsp but I like the freedman amp

Great video
Hoi! Heb je de 5150 iii 50w el34 nog? Ik zou het van je kunnen kopen, ik woon in de buurt van Utrecht.
Flagship sounds great
7:50 that's a cool riff
The ark still my favorite
"Flagship" The best sound for me !!!

Awesome plugins
Dude they just came out with the new peavy 6505
Great stuff for tracking guitars and composing when traveling. I'm still using the LePou Poulin amps though :)
Thank you so much for the amazing demonstration Jon!! You da man!
I can NEVER get my tones sounding this good no matter the plugin lol. I'm obviously doing something wrong..Does anyone have a good tutorial for dialing in tones??
Do you like STL tones?
Do you have a FX Loop?
The worst thing about the plugins is the license is tied to your computer. Really should be iLok or an account check in (like Waves).
Combine all 3 and you have James Hatfield's main rig haha
"The guy from Tool" 🤣 Come on, Jon. You could've at least looked up his name before shooting this video.
Haha I'm not a tool fan :)

I don't think that's fair tbh. I think these sound great! But sure, you can always try the free demo before you buy, that's always a good idea
@@SonicDriveStudio Why don't you think that's fair? It's my opinion.
@@KeithMcKissick Doesn't make it right, does it....? Maybe you're just not very good at getting tones from plugins .
@@MickH60 An opinion about a subjective matter can neither be right or wrong.
Meanwhile my favourite metal band literally uses ML Roots on the latest album 😬
“That guy from tool” 🫢🫢
I did that on purpose :)
