Well speak of the devil my friend, there's the ultralight, as well as a mention of worms! That last Brown was really giving that rod a run when you were going to net him! Great content as always brother, love it! Gonna head out in the morning and see if I can't get on some fish myself.
@@chasingthewildwithdustyrho2620 All good brother! I went out and used your tactics today, and hooked up with 3 wild browns and landed two on the ultralight crawler combo over the course of about 45 minutes or an hour. Nothing huge, all 3 were 10 to 14 inches. Was trying to cast into the nastiest stuff, undercut banks, stumps, etc. I've always taken that sort of approach, but you've had me dial it up a couple notches, and made me really start thinking about where the fish are laying. I'm gonna order an Aglia or 6 here as soon as possible. So call up Mepps and tell em you made em a sale. Gotta get some new waders too, I had to quit cause I went over my hip boots and wound up soaked. I binged a quite a few of your videos last night and today since I got back. Such good information dude, thank you again. I did video today... but there ain't no way I'm posting my ass scrambling out of that creek cause I got wet!
@@lerb21 lmao….. yeah Brotha the good content will come with practice & time haha…… definitely a work in progress! Again, my man really glad you’re enjoying my stuff. Glad to of hopefully given you a tip or two. 👌🤙😁🎣
Thank you. Tight lines and good luck. Watching you fish like this brings back memories when I was younger fishing like this with my dad. Been doing it since and love it.
honestly I catch big fish in all different kinds of weather conditions, about my favorite though is winter fishing and fishing cloudy overcast & drizzly days! As far as the different kinds of streams, I catch them in large, medium and small streams….. medium are my Favs I’d say!
@@dawsonneugard7884 that’s your opinion. In my opinion baitcasters are way more accurate to cast exactly where you want and I can make many more casts using a baitcaster in the same amount of time instead of having to open the bail every cast and then closing before reeling. Also gear ratios are usually faster which again just means more casts🤷
What I am throwing is basically a jig imitating either a crayfish or a bait fish…. big trout under the right conditions go nuts for it! 👌🤙 Fly guys basically strip it for the proper action, I jig it with my ultralight! 👍
@@chasingthewildwithdustyrho2620 you should try it. a 9' rod seems like a lot but once you learn to cast you can do things like water loaded casts and roll casts so that you don't need a lot of room. The best part about fly fishing is that the fish feel huge because of the slow action rods which bend to the cork
I have got to try those streamers on a spinning rod im more of a rapala countdown guy but that looks fun.😁🤯
@@ChrisKing-sb7sk Yeah man, they’re totally legit….. definitely been a game changer….. converting into the fly world a bit minus the fly rod! Haha
Dude!! I love your videos??😂😂 You're just like me. I get too excited. I'm hooked!!!. Keep up the great work 💪
👌🤙😁😉

Yessir…… it’s pretty much my backup of my backup now a days though….. really haven’t used the Crawlers much in the past couple years! 🤷♂️

Another quality video sir! Nice catches!
What knot do you use to tie with I'd like to see that done up close
It’s a loop knot…. My dad taught it to me when I was young & I’ve never used another one! I’ll put it in my next vid🤙

You’re the man Dusty!
No……… you the man Brotha 🤙😁
Nice water and good day for it Dusty, and a couple for beauties landed too, tight lines and hello from Kiwiland in Down Under,, Tony.
Hey Dusty what kind of jig are you using? Did you make that or buy it somewhere?
A good buddy of mine, (Josh Stewart) actually made that one I’ve been using! I’ve also had good luck on the Mepps bucktail jigs! 👌👍
@@chasingthewildwithdustyrho2620 Thanks Dusty. I’ll have to try the mepps bucktail jigs!
What size streamer is that?
1/4oz I believe
What kind of water and weather conditions do you look for to target the larger browns?

I have that same rod and it loops like that alot. It's amazing how such big fish can live in such skinny water!
An undercut bank is as safe as a 10 foot deep pool.
I just got the st.croix trout series rod . It’s great , handles big fish no problem
i have the same rod the 5'6" ultralight love it
First time seeing one of your vids, you should try out a bfs setup way more accurate in those tight creeks👍
Bfs is one of the stupidest things I’ve ever heard of, spinning is way better for creek fishing

Cool video but take it easy on your reel by slamming the bail closed with the handle!😂
What are you throwing? Not familiar with streamers on spinning gear.
Looks like your typical articulated galloup pattern

you should start fly fishing!
Idk I think he’s so surgical with that little ultra light if he tried to take a nine to thirteen foot rod out on the creek like we do he’d be lost 😂
Dylan Mounsey you’re probably not wrong 😂😜
I’ve been seriously pondering 🧐🤔😏
