I remember some hot HOT summers nearly ripping my arm off trying to start our mower when I was a kid. I've lived in a condo specifically so I didnt have to cut grass. Now I have two kids and we wanted a house and yard. So.....yeah.
I have had one for about 3 years . . . I hit a rock and screwed up one of the motors . . . I have a replacement but it is a bit of a mystery how to replace a motor on this mower. Otherwise, i really like the mower.
Thanks. Made up my mind. Getting one for my mom. I was concerned about battery time. Getting it mainly that is way lighter than a gas job. Mom is in her 80s but still insist on mowing her own lawn . She has a small yard this looks perfetic her ..
great review. appreciated the step by step as I didn't get a manual, so you got me started! My new model doesn't seem to have that 'key'. ok! off for my first mow!
+Sally Fleming my kids really like this mower as they have a lot of trouble starting gas mowers. My partner's son just used it yesterday to mow the front lawn.
Great review. I ordered one last night to replace my 7 year old Gen 1 ( still works) I note the battery noise, I just hope it does not carry too far. I mow my lawn early am because of the south Texas heat and humidity. It also seems to be kinder on the battery.
Thank you for the great review! After seeing you use it in your yard I've just bought the same one on Amazon. It's a nice deal right now because they've dropped the price! I hope that I'm as happy with mine as you are with yours. It looks like there have been some iffy reviews left on amazon for this lately.
Thanks man! I just found one of these on Craigslist that's only been used a couple times before the owner relocated to an apartment. We've already negotiated $100, and if it's in as good a shape as she says it is, your video has convinced me that this will be a good investment, especially considering my other mower is a reel style and it currently takes me over two hours to mow my yard, and it's a workout. If I lived down the street from you I'd stop by with a sixer of Bells. Cheers!
This is why I wanted the battery mower, bad back and shoulder surgery. Can’t pull as many times that you did. I think you should of got the single blade mower on most reviews it leaves the twin blades missed some of the grass like yours did. But hay awesome review like part one.
I bought this mower 3 years ago and I love it. Yes when the grass is tall or thick you have to go over it twice and to get through my whole yard I bought an extra battery as a back up. I also love how light weight it is. My only issue now is it is making a strange noise and I am having trouble finding someone who repairs electric mowers.
3:46......this illustrates one of the main reason why I am getting an electric mower.
my boys have always had massive troubles starting gas mowers too. it's a thing.

I cut my teeth on a corded sunbeam mower back in the 80s bought cheap at an auction or yard sale...it was amazing!

You sold me on this mover for our new home. ;) Thank you for a quality in-depth review with all your pros and cons.
+Jon Carter you're welcome! I need to go use mine again tomorrow. Ha.

Can you mow with one battery while the other is charging?
Yes, definitely.

Awesome review. Was planning to buy this today since it's on sale for $288 on Amazon. But now I'm having second thoughts.
Just ordered one. Good review!

+Tracy R Let me know how you like it. My favorite thing about it is how easy it is for my teenagers to use.

+Chester Needham awesome! I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
this one was just recalled
only ones made from 2014-2015. the newer ones are ok check your dates
kewl, i thought the electric one is loud but not unpleasant loud like combustion
+Jared Reabow (Jazza) agreed
Even though you said the handle snaps were cheap, I still think an easily collapsible handle is a great feature. Nice video!

Just watching you struggle with trying to start the regular ICE mower confirmed my decision to go electric. lol
