I totally see this urge to buy items because people around us in a community do it... It's especially bad seeing hyped items everywhere and many others owning them. I'm also constantly worried something may get discontinued while I'm trying to use it up which obviously could happen. But for me I notice that it often becomes a general worry leading to me getting random things in sales or FOMO instead of focusing on specific fav items. I have been making lists of my must have skincare /make up products and outside of 4 all are long time /staple products of the brands. The 4 might be... So instead of reasonably keeping an eye on things I use daily /use up regularly it becomes a general worry triggering shopping stuff 😐 I think I have definitely been better last year w shopping, said no to lots of stuff. Or not even wanting it.

I'm trying to come up with a sound no buy /low buy plan for this year. I think I need a detailed plan cause I'm struggling w things 👀 I really want to do a make up /skincare no buy and general low buy, want to ENJOY & use my things this year, continue using up items and let go of things I don't need. BUT there's few items I use daily I will definitely run out of. there is nothing bad replacing your staples BUT a voice keeps telling me if I get my staples than it's not a no buy... If I tell myself I'm just doing a low buy I'm getting worried to buy other stuff. I need to reframe how I feel/think. I want to avoid: feeling like I failed, stressing too much & sliding back into buying too much😕
The problem I find with waiting to buy something is that most of the things I want, specifically clothing, sell out so fast! What do you do if you are pretty certain the item will sell out soon? Help!

Write a list of your essentials/needs & that way u can guilt free purchase replacements.

U can write a green light & red light list.
