I agree! Wish we could’ve seen that, I’ve always wondered what that third burton movie would’ve looked like. Couldn’t have been worse than Batman forever I think. Loved that movie as a kid growing up but nowadays I just find it unwatchable lol
It's always going to be a regret of mine that Warner Brothers didn't really plan things out when they made the original trilogy (yes, in my mind Schumacher's BATMAN & ROBIN doesn't exist). The first two films had the same director, but Tim Burton was given far too much creative control on the second one. And they technically did have the same screenwriter, but Sam Hamm's script treatment was so thoroughly reworked by Daniel Waters and Wesley Strick that in the end it was completely unlike the story for the '89 film. BATMAN FOREVER at least had Burton as one of its producers (which is perhaps what he should have been from the beginning), but for the third time they didn't bring back ANY of the original screenwriters. As a result, the three films just don't narratively mesh, even though they're supposed to be part of the same story. You can't enjoy them as a complete saga the way you can with STAR WARS - or, for that matter, the way you can with Christopher Nolan's trilogy, which, in my opinion, both succeeded where Burton's trilogy failed and failed where Burton's trilogy succeeded. (If you could somehow combine Burton's and Nolan's creative visions, you'd have the perfect Batman movie.) So, yes, Billy Dee Williams should have been the version of Harvey Dent who became Two-Face. I wish we could have seen more of Kim Basinger's Vicki Vale and Robert Wuhl's Alexander Knox, too. (In fact, I would have put Knox in all three movies, having him help Batman with detective work.) I also remain intrigued by the premise behind the aborted BATMAN UNCHAINED, which was going to feature not only Nicolas Cage as the Scarecrow but - depending on whom you ask - either Courtney Love or Madonna or Jenny McCarthy as Harley Quinn, who would turn out to be the daughter of Jack Napier, AKA The Joker! It would have been neat to see the series come full circle, beginning with the Joker and then ending on the Joker motif. And I can easily imagine a Tim Burton rendition of Harley Quinn: perhaps a composite of Lydia Deetz, the Ice Princess, and Miss Argentina (from BEETLEJUICE).
@@kevincruise3521 I'm still waiting for BATMAN UNCHAINED to be made! With Michael Keaton actually returning to play Batman in THE FLASH, maybe we can have the Jack Napier-to-Harley Quinn legacy yet! (Of course, Harley would by this point be a middle-aged woman, but so what?)

The Dark Knight Returns animated film is a much better portrayal of Batman V Superman. BVS failed because they wanted to desperately tie in the Justice League so they could “keep up” with Marvel. Took a great Frank Miller comic and ruined it in an attempt to “keep up”. Why “keep up”? Just do your thing at your own pace. Oh yeah, money….
I never liked batman forever and batman and Robin... until I heard the theory that they are both live action animated movies based on the exploits of Tim Burtons batman... like cartoons in batman's real world
Batman Forever was supposed to be a direct sequel to Batman Returns that explored Batman's reason for killing in the previous two movies and how he tried to let go of that self-destructive side of himself. But the people in charge of the studio wanted a more family friendly move after the controversy with Batman Returns, so half of the plot that addresses that got cut out of the film. Oddly enough, they also rewrote the ending so that Batman kills Two-Face as opposed to him flipping his coin too far and jumping after it. Batman and Robin was apparently full-on made by the studio, as Schumacher wanted to do a straightforward Batman: Year One movie.
One more to add: the 1990 newspaper comic strip that opened with a Marshall Rogers-illustrated version of Batman saving Vicki Vale from Joker, with the Joker falling into water instead of the street. It loosely picked up after Batman 1989 with Batman gifting the Bat Signal to the city, but kept the characters to their traditional looks and did their own takes on Catwoman, Penguin, Riddler, and Two-Face before the sequels were made: ruclips.net/video/m8ZOmK1aHJI/видео.html We also debunked the Max Shreck-was-originally-Harvey-Dent rumor, with quotes from Batman Returns screenwriter Daniel Waters himself. ruclips.net/video/Wpe9KfTILXk/видео.html

Billy Dee Williams really dodged the bullet on those, because he only made direct to video films and television films in the 1990's, and Tommy Lee Jones had a string of box office hits like The Fugitive and Men In Black.
Interestingly, when "Batman: The Animated Series" co-creator Bruce Timm was interviewed for the series' DVD release, he stated that, yes, while he and fellow creator Paul Dini did piggyback on Burton's popularity a bit, they also attempted to strike out in a new direction. He points out, for example, that the very first episode they completed, "On Leather Wings," featured the animalistic villain Man-Bat. And, indeed, the animated show did delve heavily into fantasy-horror and science fiction tropes, whereas Burton tried to keep the Batman characters at least somewhat grounded in reality; Selina Kyle POSSIBLY being resurrected by cats was as supernatural as his two Batman films got.

The Catwoman movie could’ve been so good if they had just changed a few things. Name her Selina Kyle, set it in Gotham City, have the main villain be Roman Sionis, and have that guy who is an ally in the movie be an undercover Bruce Wayne trying to track down this cat burglar going around town.

Yes the Halle Berry Catwoman has not garnered any type of cult following that I know of, maybe it has but I don't think so.
If you check on Twitter and Halle’s Instagram post when she wore the movie costume for Halloween I think, you will find that it indeed has garnered a cult following. Dead serious
I think it has a pop culture following because she’s cool not a superhero/comic pop culture following
You think the catnip rubbing on the face was bad? There was a cut scene of her rubbing used kitty litter on her face (probably).
I loved Birds of Prey.
Are those real cameos of Conroy and the gang at the end
Birds of pray was a great…
Dina Meyer was great on that show. She should’ve had a bigger career
I had a 89 batmobile toy that I lost and I'm still looking for 🤔 don't judge me
they better upgrade keton's bat suit in the flash movie 😂
True story: The guy that played Max Schrek's son = I once auditioned for a part that he wound up getting. I won't tell you which part though.
Never sold McDonald's toys? Nah. I had three of em.
Wait, haven't you made this video before? Twice??
I thought this sounded super familiar
3:04 - Not true! Beyond Gordon and Alfred, newspaper columnist _Gossip Gerty_ - played by Bob Kane’s wife, Elizabeth Sanders - appears in all four films.
Vee you aren't my least favorite RUclipsr and I am a batman freak too.
I'm not entirely sure these should count as Batman Sequels necessarily, good argument they are, but what about: Teen Titans, Teen Titans Go, Titans, & Young Justice as they all have references to or have Batman in it. Should the Arkham games also count

Pain....
But Joker didn't kill the parents in BTAS, did he?
"Comic's I'm not ashamed to say that I personally own." But do you own the official novelizations? Only asking cause the amount of content you can pull from that would make for some awesome videos.
Is this reuploaded
Yes
No,it is a compilation video
Whedon's Justice League also references Batman Returns, actually implying the Batman played by Ben Affleck is the same Batman Michael Keaton played...which now became really confusing considering Affleck's Batman is getting replaced by Keaton's Batman, because the Whedon cut of JL is the canonical one.
And btw, The Flash just got pushed back another year, now coming out on june 2023...that is 5 years after its original release date.
Anyone know where I can watch the Tim burton films? Been wanting to for so long
Well you buy them on DVD or rented the DVDs on Netflix. Or if you don’t want to watch them on DVDs, you can watch them on the streaming services, HBO Max
@Vee Infuso Have you seen the best Batman movie-scooby doo and Batman?
Wait, Riker was in Lois and Clark!?!?!?!
ERB clip noticed
You are a Batman fan.
You are a wrestling fan.
Are we step brothers?!
TOO much Halle Berry, which no vid should have, shame really, other than that, great video.
Batman 1989 is A Great Movie Unfortunately it has sadly dated alot over time
Um no shit? It’s 30 years old. Every old movie is dated. Lmfao
@@theitfactorjameswheezer2852 Well that's exactly true The 1976 version of The Omen still holds up Great and so does The Original version of Child's Play
@@theitfactorjameswheezer2852 The Changeling with George C Scott is still A TERRIFYING and Great Movie but Yes some really Old Movies have sadly dated alot like The Exorcist and Ridley Scott's Alien have dated A little bit
@@jackgarrison8497 the omen feels like a 70s movie. Child’s play feels like an 80s movie. Learn what dated means
@@theitfactorjameswheezer2852 I know what dated means and The Omen is from The 1976 and 1988 is when The Original version of Child's Play was released
Bro, I liked the Birds of Prey tv show. I'm not a hater
That's a great video, but Tim Burton's Batman 3 never actually existed.
Isn't this an old video?
Michael Gough is pronounced Michael Goff
Looks like we're gonna have to wait thanks to Ezra Miller's misconduct.
