Todd glad you enjoyed the video. Like I always say im not trying to sell anything just inform my viewers what out there or show an easier and safer way of doing a job. Appreciate you watching, commenting and supporting my channel.👍TCT
I really like to watch your videos, even though I already have the cool tools. I have been using the original Future Forestry log arch, lift tongs, etc for years. You sold me on the battery winch.
Mark, like me it seems you see the benefits of using tools and equipment that make your job easier and safer. Glad you enjoyed the PCW3000Li review Thanks for watching and commenting 👍TCT
Raising that stand sure was the definition of work smarter not harder. Great little winch. What a difference that nose-cone makes-skipping over the ground instead of the blunt end digging in, probably extends the battery run time 2x Thanks Tony, have a nice week ahead🇺🇸🇺🇸
Mike there are so many applications I’ve used the Portable Winch in the last 5 years. It’s an indispensable piece of equipment in my Woodyard. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍TCT
Battery powered equipment is definitely a thing of the future. I believe there's a lot of advantages to them but also disadvantages too. I guess I am still old school and like gas powered. Stay safe my friend
Tim I totally agree with you, battery power tools do have their place and are convenient but when you get to larger equipment gas is still the way to go. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍TCT
@@TonysCoolTools ...we had ONE coyote come in but we missed! Or should I say, "I" missed. It was after we took down the lantern light...we will probably be trying again soon.

Once again perfect timing on your video. I have been looking at options to help load my model T in my enclosed trailer. Just not as young as I once was…lol. Thanks for the review and video content.
Sean at 67 I know what you mean. I’m always looking for something easier and safer that will save me time. For loading in an enclosed trailer the PCw300OLi would be perfect. If it can drag my fully loaded Kioti tractor it won’t have a problem with your model T. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍TCT

Those portable winches look very handy. Especially if your like me and do not own equipment to help load logs. How the heck did I miss you at Bunyan?? You must’ve been hiding🤣 Great review Tony👍🏻👍🏻

This is a cool tool now if it came with a remote it would be perfect for my application. Have bad back and looking to get heavy stuff outta my van bed stuff that’s 500-700 lbs max would be all I need . So if anyone has suggestions please let me. BTW I’m in the Shawano area. Thanks Tony really appreciate the video 😊
Glad you enjoyed the video. Unfortunately Portable winch company does not make a remote operated winch as of yet. The battery operated winch is perfect for an enclosed trailer or van. At full power dragging a load it will last about 15 minutes at high speed. Thanks for watching and commenting. TCT
Nice alternative to the gas version. The winch could really be a blessing getting things un-stuck when there is no other alternative. Battery technology has come a long way in the last few years. Does the unit come with a quick charger or standard? Just curious about charge time, I may have missed it in your review.
Frances, to my knowledge there is only one charger available and for the 2.5AH it takes 35 minutes to fully charge which in my opinion is pretty fast. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍TCT
Great review on the winch Tony, i do like how you show how versatile it is and how well it works for getting those big platforms in the air. on a side note what brand of leg bracket was used on that platform ? I like how the end of the 4x4 is tucked under the platform and protected from rain
My daughter and son-in-law have purchased 4 of these and the hardware (metal brackets) come with it. You can check their web page and call them. Tell Pete the owner you say it on Tonys Cool Tools. Its WDLdeerstands.com Let me know if you need anything else. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍TCT
Another great video. Cost wise between the 4000 and battery operated? Thanks for the video. It was great to run into you at P B. See you on the next one.
Allen, it was awesome meeting so many of you viewers that watch and support my channel. You may want to check the Portable Winch web site, they have specials going on. If you’re only looking at winch alone with no accessories the PCW4000 I believe is $367 more than the PCW3000Li with battery and charger. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍TCT
Might use the cone to drag myself up the stairs after clearing canyon trails. How big of a rock can that thing pull? I know the capabilities in poundage but tough to visualize.
That a tough question because you’re probably not going to lift the rock you’re just going to drag or pull it out of the way. The hardest part is making a sling to go around the rock that won’t slip off. The other advantage you have with the Portable winch is using additional snatch blocks to increase your pulling ratio from 1 to 1 or 2200 lbs and by adding another pulley you double your pull to 4400. And the more pulleys you use the greater pulling capacity you will have. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍TCT
Del glad you enjoyed the video. To fully charge the battery it takes 35 minutes. So if I bring my solar charger in the field I can recharge while doing something else and have pulling power all the time. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍TCT
