    Those always look really dumb to me. Like you're wearing a hat 4 sizes too small or an import car with one of those big huge wings on the back in case they could actually go 200mph and needed downforce. To me the mechanism should be engineered to mount on the bottom of the ROPS. Then the ladder bars come out from the under side so the top could then be flush with the top of the ROPS bar and the sides would roll over the outside edges sort of concealing it and not be suspended way out above it. Just my .02 If I could just buy the canopy I probably would and just build my own mounting system.

    I had 2 trees go down in a strong storm. I wanted to save both trees. As they are both mature shade trees. Removal would have been very expensive and replacement would take many years of growth time. On the biggest tree is used several cable winches to get the tree back up. I drove multiple t-posts into the ground for a base anchor. I attached heavy tow straps to the upper tree trunk. By cranking each of the winches gradually I was able to progressively raise the tree back in place. I used a total of 6 winches and 6 straps. The tree is currently supported with 2 straps to keep it as straight as possible to allow the roots to gain strength to hold the tree. Before winching up the trees I aggressively pruned and thinned the branches to lighten the upper weight. Both trees are doing well. Thank you!

      Alex that amazing, it's the first time I've heard of a operation like that. It will be interesting to see if the roots grow deep enough to hold the tree up. Let myself and my viewers know how this turns out in the future. Thanks for sharing, watching and commenting, TCT

    I work in tree removal. I bought on of these to assist in pulling trees in the direction of fall. The problem with this tool it will loose grip on the rope if slack is interduced in the pull. This is why it sits in the back of my truck and the cable comealongs are used. OK for non critical pulls. Not for felling trees in residential areas.

    Hi Tony . It’s definitely an interesting design . The AR 400 is a go 👍 . The claw fist grip yes 👍 Bucking logs down too the last 16” piece . No . The flow divider on tractor 👎 . They need too take a step back and rethink the design . Simplify it . When bucking logs you need more room from carriage and only 12” wide claw too clear for saw . There on the right track and could easily corner the market with changes like things you also mentioned . When go on google and punch in grapple it’s amazing how many grapple company’s and designs . One needs too choose there design carefully . Good review Tony as always 👍👍👍

      Dick is been out for a few years but hasn’t gotten a lot of traction yet. It definitely is built well and functions extremely well. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍TCT

    This looks like it will be better than my old cable come-a-long. The steel cable is too short and binds up, especially when I’m trying to initially deploy it.

    • @TonysCoolTools
      @TonysCoolTools 12 дней назад

      Ironically I started with the steel cable come along and experienced the same problem of short cable and would not wind on the spool correctly causing ti to jamb up all the time. Thanks for watching and commenting.TCT

    You should make a video of how to upgrade the firmware on the BT780. I downloaded the latest firmware but there are so many files within the ZIP it isn't clear which files to use for the update. Copying the Zip file to the SD card and selecting Update Firmware does nothing.

      Thanks for the suggestion. I will try to contact Foxwell and see if there is an easy way to update firmware. Just an FYI they are very slow to respond. Appreciate you watching and commenting 👍TCT

    Tony the bolt runs thru the channel from top to bottom correct? Is there a plate on the bottom side of the channel or just large washers or something else?

    • @TonysCoolTools
      @TonysCoolTools 18 дней назад

      Donald you are correct, the bolt goes from the top through the square channel and has a large washer and lock nut at the bottom. Thanks for watching commenting👍TCT

    I am very new to this. When you put the rope around the tree, did you place the rope in the hook or did you actually tie it off? Also, you stated the ATV weighs 2000 pounds and that the unit has a 1500 pound capacity. How is it that you were able to use this to pull the ATV on the trailer? I’m trying to learn the safety rules. Thank you so so much for your time Sir.

    • @TonysCoolTools
      @TonysCoolTools 20 дней назад

      Craig regarding the tree I just put the rope around tree and clipped on the hook. Regarding the UTV, though it weighs 2000 I’m not lifting the machine totally all I’m doing is pulling ATV or UTV up a ramp. The weight is considerably less. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍TCT

    With your new trailer being wider, are you still able to pull it fully loaded with firewood with a 1/2 ton pickup?

    • @TonysCoolTools
      @TonysCoolTools 20 дней назад

      Jeff I had no problems pulling a full load as long as I didn’t put to much weight on the front of the trailer. I had a 82 x 12’ Sur-trac before I bought the N & N trailer so I know it could handle the load. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍TCT
