awesome video! I don't know if this will help with positioning a camera in the future but you can center your view on anything, then add a camera and press ctrl + alt + 0 on the num pad and the camera will snap to your view :)

I dont like the setup on torus, needs to set two sets of radii and then segmentation. Here I just do a circle with few segements and then extrude into torus and set resolution. And its easily editable with either curve settings or alt S

Oh yeah, I use that too, or lock to view. But the isocam has a sweet default angle it gives :D (im lazy)
