My first real car I bought in 1986 was a 1980 Mazda RX-7 with the Wankel rotary engine. Man that thing was fun to drive, especially to be only a little over 1 liter. RPM's for days.
Back in the early 90's, a buddy of mine grabbed an 87 RX-7 Turbo. I still remember being in the passenger seat as the thing accelerated sliding from side to side through what felt like 3rd gear. Just a beast of a machine that did 0-60 in the low 6's with a 1.3L Wankel engine. At the time I drove a 1983 Wolfsburg Edition Scirocco which I destroyed some years later (only hurting my ego) on a trip to buy pasta in a snow storm. Come to think of it, I also rolled that car a couple of years earlier (again, hurting only my ego). Good times... :)

A "dry" NOS system is never a good idea. N20 as the name suggests, supplys the engine with 2x the oxygen, hence the rev rise. The same effect can be acheived simply by leaning the engine right out. Amazing how they made those rotors to small! This is awesome Kev, enjoyed the video. I think you can actually install this in an RC car. I've seen some people do it, maybe you can try it if you'd like. Rotaries really love to drink engine oil and fuel, but if you take care of it well, it would be very reliable, and you get RPM for days lol
Rotors and e-shaft and the correct term for the housing shape is called epitrochoid… most rotary engines have four plugs leading and trialing … and every three rotations is one combustion cycle I think if I’m not mistaken … hence why the rotary engine can push some much power for such a small displacement … 10a 12a 13b 20b and 26b are the more common of the engines that are used in cars or whatever you desire even in airplanes !
I had a 88 rx7 and it sat for 20 years after my cousin was paralyzed. I traded a Geo tracker for it lol that thing was a nightmare until I learned how to work on it and this was well before RUclips had videos everywhere
