Back in the early 90's, a buddy of mine grabbed an 87 RX-7 Turbo. I still remember being in the passenger seat as the thing accelerated sliding from side to side through what felt like 3rd gear. Just a beast of a machine that did 0-60 in the low 6's with a 1.3L Wankel engine. At the time I drove a 1983 Wolfsburg Edition Scirocco which I destroyed some years later (only hurting my ego) on a trip to buy pasta in a snow storm. Come to think of it, I also rolled that car a couple of years earlier (again, hurting only my ego). Good times... :)

A "dry" NOS system is never a good idea. N20 as the name suggests, supplys the engine with 2x the oxygen, hence the rev rise. The same effect can be acheived simply by leaning the engine right out. Both will have the same outcome of destroying the engine very quickly. Also love the fact that You completely skipped the whole watercooling bit, You were lucky it didnt start pre-igniting once it did finally start.
