    With classic Tetris growing in popularity to the point of making it onto international news, someone in the community, like Vandy, should think about setting a code of conduct and addressing it with the players in general and Sidnev in particular. It's a bad look when a player rages and/or self-harms after nearly every loss.

    • @ErykKrzeminski
      @ErykKrzeminski 8 дней назад +3

      Agreed. It makes the entire scene seem unprofessional when the players can't behave with courtesy.

      I 100% agree. This isn't a 1 time thing, sidnev does this every time they lose. The organizers need to do what every other legit sport or esport does and adopt a code of conduct and suspend then ban sidnev if they continue this behavior

    • @LokIArioch
      @LokIArioch 6 дней назад +1

      @@GK-gc9cv Imagine this scenario: Someone from ESPN is told competitive Tetris is blowing up and they're looking to fill a timeslot for ESPN3. The scout sees this match live, sees this kind of behavior and says "nah, that's too Mickey-Mouse league".
      Now imagine if this has already happened.
      The players have to be held to a higher standard if the game is to move forward to a wider audience and bigger and better facilities and prizepools, and not just Twitch/Discord.

    I don't mind sudden rage for a second, as it is a human response that is sometimes hard to control. I know the frustration of choking and admittedly raged a few times losing a match. However, self-harm is NEVER supposed to be broadcasted live. It is an extremely inappropriate subject to be shown publicly in media like this. If there are none, you should have a code of conduct to prevent an event like this, especially as Classic Tetris is getting more recognition than ever as a professional sport.
