Kenya I left 1989 but these songs still fresh in my mind reminds me during my Garissa primary in 1985 mimi watoto wa nyayo free school free milk and githeri mimi mwana kenya daima. Eventhough 2 decades gone kenya still in my heart

Thank you Mr. Thomas!! I enjoyed dancing to this songs at Nyahururu stadium as a student at Ngarenaro Primary School under the very talented Mr. Nyaga on National Holidays. ~WaMwai
I remember public holiday celebrations songs. The one I remember most was the children's choir song "Kenya you are my love, Oleyo X2 Uuuu Oleyo Aaaaa Oleyo" I miss my childhood.
At least he benefitted from his patriotic songs...very very good. Kenyacitizentv, can you please post videos of Moi and the Moi era...and kenyatta and the kenyatta era...There are very few videos of Moi and Kenyatta on the internet.
my two sisters were in Nakuru mass choir. I remember TAWALA kenya. they would go to Kabarak to sing for Moi then jioni we would wait for them to come with boflo. I remember Hongo and Kibango in Naks lol good old days
I miss ya nyayo nakumbuka utamu wake hadi sasa nmekunya nikiwa boys town pry school na tetu pry school huku Garissa north eastern nikiwa nussury Kenya iende mbele
MOI and KANU fastidiously safeguarded KENYA'S TERRITORIAL INTEGRITY unlike today when ALL of us are unsafe, including the POLICE, and even the MILITARY !!! AL SHABAB excursions inside KENYA are very rampant !!! Those who routinely vilify KANU and MOI surely know in their subconscious that NATIONAL SECURITY was at its tightest.
During those days kenya was peaceful and kenyans felt safe not like today where we hear alot of negativity in everything. The cost of living wss cheap and people were generally happy.
Look at the guys in Moi's entourage, and then ask yourself why Kenya never moves forward? And when new blood like Kamencu surfaces we mock them and nip their ambitions as we continue to praise and find these old geezers amusing and visionary.
Before 8:4:4 introduction in 1985, Kiswahili was not a compulsory subject and teachers were few. The teachers who taught us the pioneer Std. 8 pupils were mostly not trained in the subject and were too groping in the dark. It shouldn’t surprise that majority of those my age and above have not mastered the region’s franca lingua.
wanzueni Who told you there was repression then ? It's nothing compared to JUBILEE excesses - Baby Pendo, Msando, and thousands of others killed and thrown away forever.
Will miss you Moi greatly and the patriotic songs of your time composed by great man- wesonga. We know that you got economic sabotage in order to be depicted as a failure. R. I. P Moi.

nice patriotic songs but unfortunately they were sung during Mois repression, this background makes them stink.
