For this I have used white transfer paper. If I free hand something I will also still use transfer paper. I'll freehand on a normal piece of printer paper and make my corrections on that to make sure it's accurate and then use transfer paper to transfer that sketch to my canvas. Canvas doesn't eraser pencil marks well so this keeps everything neat and tidy.
@@zaratomsartwhich brand and series of brush is it? As you know the numbering system for brushes isn’t consistent across brands, or even in the same brand across series.
Awesome work😍 Question... How to tell what colour to choose on first layer of painting the body of that bird? Is there a technique for it? I'm sort of struggling on that part and I usually go straight to the colours I see which are the details or the top layers😔🤔 TIA
Thank you =). For the first layer I don't focus on mixing the right colour at all. I just go for something that represents the darkest value in that area. My main aim for layer 1 is to hide the background colour. You want to ideally be leaving the lightest colours/details until last. They are sitting on top of everything else so they need to be added for later layers =)
Beautiful.
Can’t tell which one is the reference photo and your painting at the end! 🧐 Awesome job!!! WOWEE!!!
Thank you =). It was a really fun painting to create from a lovely reference photograph :D
Amazing tutorial , what brand is the round brush ?

Thank you =)
What do you do the sketch with? (The white lines)

What size brush are you using?
It's a size 8 round. Not to small that the base layers would take to long but also not to big which would make painting details more challenging.
