When the painter is lying.. It's not a painting.. It's an actual bird.. Wow! Seriously.. the painting is gorgeous.. almost looks you've placed an actual lil birdie out there.. hats off ❤️🙌
Боже, это божественно!! Не описать словами, это невероятный талант. Вот это искусство, вот это я понимаю, а не современная чепуха. Снимаю шляпу перед Вами.
Your first painting of the Robin is fantatisic it's so beautiful . The robin was the very first sketch drawing i did when i was a child at school with no help or training in art class . My art teacher put my drawing into the art compition . I had no chance of winning due to the high quality standards in Art . I did won the Art compition in 1st place . I was truly lost for words. but now after watching your video this has made me think of doing an updated version in oil paint . I really enjoy watching you painting the classic Robin . Thank you for giving us the information on types of paints and brushes you use . Thank you it's really helpful
This an amazing Robin painting Michael. As a bird artist (in watercolour though), I can fully appreciate the amount of time and effort something like this can take. Very clever work indeed! Paul 🧑🎨
Super. I like it when painters paint and draw in detail. This makes the image more vivid. You can see the important color, shadow and light plays. A dream for the eye and your own romantic well-being. 👍
All your videos have been a great pleasure to watch, sometimes again and again. They have inspired me to pick up my brushes and paints again after an absence of about five years (too many pressing family matters). My paintings were always very detailed too, yet I was discouraged from painting "tight" as it was called, by other artists. I did not listen to them, though. I'm sorry to say that I will be missing many of your future demos because today I am moving away to the woods in a very rustic part of Wisconsin, USA, across the road from a huge wildlife preserve. There is no coverage, at least for now, so no internet, no cable, no cell service. The trees, the waters, and the animals will provide lots of inspiration and peace of mind. Thanks for being a RUclips "friend".
Gorgeous painting. Thank you for sharing your technique for creating this photorealistic subject matter. I love birds. Being an enrolled student in your online school, you've opened yet another door for future subject matter. I highly recommend the school to anyone who wants to learn how to paint or hone their skills.
As an ornithologist (as well as artist) I was checking your painting for anatomical detail and I could not fault it. It is right up there with the works of renowned bird artists, such as Chris Rose, Ian Lewington, Lars Jonsson and even Charles Tunnicliffe. You could easily get a second job as a bird illustrator. Very well done, Michael.
You............. Are a genius, that stunningly beautiful painting looked as if he could just fly off. I mean it's rare that I'm rendered speechless for the right reasons but this is truly one of those rarest of times. Everyone I showed the still to where convinced it was a beautifully taken photograph.. Your eye for detail is breathtaking. The wee overhang right on the tip of the beak, the perfect eye and those little delicate feet....... Well...... Its just amazing talent. Of course I'm subscribing, there is nothing that gladens me more than seeing someone creating beautiful things. Thank you.
You’ve taken me to look deeper into my paintings. Your direct simple approach to painting teaches me to change my approach. You’re kind of like my lightbulb. I’m just starting to add more depth and detail and am enjoying the journey. I’ve quite a ways to go but then I’m hungry. Thank you
I tuoi dipinti sono meravigliosi,realistici...i tuoi alberi sembrano uscire dalla tela...colori appropriati, belle nuvole e fiumi bellissimi.mi piace tanto tanto questo little bird(pettirosso si chiama in italia) sembra che sia pronto per volare....mi piace la tua tecnica ,continua cosi'..Good bless you, ciao ciao e buon lavoro!!
That painting is so good, anyone can do this for themselves, it just takes time an practice , talent doesn't exist , only persude interest, this guy is good because he paints 1000 times more than anyone watching that's all, still his paintings are brilliant
Michael James Smith Art She definitely already has inspired a few planned paintings in my sketchbook! I've been waiting a very long time to meet her and I hope I can express my joy through my paintings. :)
I would watch the entire slowed version of this, no need to speed it up. Thanks for your instruction, and time you take to teach others! It is greatly appreciated!

I am brand new to painting birds/feathers. I had been struggling with the chest of a great tit I've started working on but watching this video has got me so excited to finish my painting! Thank you ❤
Michael, your ‘blocked in’ is most people’s finished painting...then you take it to a whole new level...magic.
Yet me too I've got one just like this too. I might get some of those fine detail brushes for finishing off
That little bird came to life right in front of my eyes. So beautiful!!
Whoa, that's William T. Cooper attention to detail right off the bat. Michael, that's the highest praise I can give.
