- Dragon Quest VIII Gameplay in 1080p 60fps
The court jester of the kingdom of Trodain, Dhoulmagus, stealing an ancient scepter and casting a spell on Trodain castle. The spell turns the king, King Trode, into a troll; the princess, Medea, into a horse; and the rest of the castle's inhabitants into plants. The only one left unaffected is the unnamed protagonist, a Trodain guard. The guard, King Trode, and Princess Medea set out on a quest to track down Dhoulmagus and break the spell.

One of the greatest Dragon Quest games of all time. A personal favorite of mine. The Dhoulmagus fight was one of the most memorable

The only con is the musics.
Yeah the exclusive content makes it different but i love the ps2 graphic pov than the 3ds

I think this was the toughest fight for me in the main story.

The imperia godbird was the hardest for me. I had to spend a full evening of several hours of play, just grinding for that battle, in order to fight it the next day.

Doulmaghus sounds a lot like freeza, wonder if it's the same VA
I think it's kinda a like, but the voice actor is different

Typical freeza.
I play this game on 3ds emulator on smartphone with HD texture pack, but i still perfer Ps2 colors and overall UI, when i fought Dhoulmagus i was 41 level and this battle was so easy with hero omniheal and other good hi level moves.
still prefer ps2 and using emulator makes it more hd, leveling can be the solution if you find this battle hard, but i hate grinding for level especially when the monster only give a few exp
