FF VI super famicom (FFIII SNES in USA) isn't only more advanced or a milestone. It's THE reference in the roleplaying game history!! To be honest your opinion is a little superficial in my opinion. FFVI lives with claimed story and character interactions and fullfiled gameplay. These are the most important elements in the role-playing game genre! The interactions and the characters are something special because FFVI doesn't have a real hero who is going to rescue the world. Everyone is important! Square focused his work in giving all the characters a life by showing their fates and combine it with the interactive story, EVEN in battles or flashbacks. So even the feints just like Kefka or Gesthal are implemented in this gameplay system. Simply they LIVE. Example: Maybe you can remember the scene, where you have to fight Ultros with Relm and the others? Relm asked Utros if she could draw him before he tries to kill them. Dragon Quest XI's soundtrack I general is a joke. I love the game but it's terrible compared to this game! I get to of hearing the same battle theme in XI, and the boss theme doesn't sound very threatening at all...
When you can't afford a mic for each instrument it sounds like this. What the hell were they thinking? It sounds like the furthest seat away from the orchestra.
Sugiyama probably didn't let Square Enix record with proper equipment cause he felt that would bring down his oh so precious ticket and CD sales if people could hear the soundtrack in game. A stupid reason honestly but not something I'd put past him considering DQ11's initial release. Not to mention Japan didn't get a version of DQ8 with orchestrated music until the 3DS remaster. While the west got a new midi soundtrack for 8's 3DS remaster.
It's so sad they couldn't keep the original symphonic versions of the various songs in the remake, I'm still loving the hell out of it, but the change in the music, with how they butchered the menus dropped my vote for it from a potential 10 (it still is the same game we had on ps2, but with extra stuff) to an 8.5, it's not a big deal, but it kinda ruined a bit the atmosphere for me.
Most of the music in the american version isn't even orchestrated so you barely tell the difference. The american 3DS version gets the original japanese score and the japanese version gets the original american score. I like getting to experience both soundtracks. Also it's not a remake. It's a port.
Welp, the PAL version's ost were fully orchestrated, don't know if there's some difference between the two versions, but for what I recall every single OST in the 3DS version is different and you can tell the different, quite a lot actually, it's like playing it with gba sounds in comparsion.

Empyrea was stronger than Gemon, Marcello and Leopold together😭😭😭😭 F*CKN BIRD!😂
You have to consider the maximum fidelity allowed for a recorded soundtrack on a PS2 game from 2004.
dragon quest 11 music aint shit
rip
If they do a 11 with 8 im out
Such a pity....
such a shame this game is trapped on 3ds and ps2
Better physc up my man yangus
Dragon Quest 11 is so utterly disappointing music-wise.
DQ8's boss theme is so unmemorable, unfortunately. It pales whem compared to DQ4, DQ5, DQ9
Just because it isn’t symphonic like those doesn’t mean it’s unmemorable, I think it’s one of the best boss themes.
That game was too easy in my perspective.
