What a trouper - Don was suffering from laryngitis but still ave his all. Call me obsessed but I watch and listen to Don Everly every evening on RUclips. Incredible how his beautiful singing voice stayed so soft, pitch-perfect, youthful and expressive from 1957 right up to his and Phil’s retirement in 2005. If that were all, it would be enough. But along with all that, I have to admit I’m mesmerised by how fabulously handsome, youthful and sexy he stayed through all those years - thick, dark, glossy hair… piercing dark eyes… cute ski-slope nose… sweet, mischievous grin…and that full-lipped mouth…mercy, mercy me!
Very cool to see a lady bass guitarist as part of the band. Always happy to hear “So Sad” and “Yesterday Just Passed My Way Again”. If those songs don’t tear at your heart, then you’re probably already dead.
@@EB84 Don frequently changed the phrasings of songs around. It was obviously easier when he was singing solo but he did it with Phil, too. “All I Have To Do Is Dream” comes to mind immediately - especially when the Everlys performed it in the 80s and 90s. I guess it was a way of keeping songs that were 20-30 years old somewhat fresh and interesting for themselves.
What a great way to start 2023👵 Thank you for posting this gem. ❤️ I met Don many years ago, in Boots the chemist, near where he was staying before the concert at the Albert Hall, where I was going. He was so natural and friendly... and of course, gorgeous. 🥰🌹 I was so sad when he passed away, just as I was when we lost Phil. RIP both of them.
Loved this, for me who has a new found love of the Everly Brothers and of course Don and Phil's individual solo albums. I am loving every moment of my journey
( empezaba a conocerlos y muere Don.

You must be blind and musically deaf then if you can’t tell the two Everly boys apart. 🤨 This is DEFINITELY DON Everly. 🫠 He spent sometime during the solo years as one of the main singers of The Dead Cowboys. This looks like it came from a reunion tour or something like that.

Awesome music and video!
Beautiful man, beautiful voice. Love Don Everly.

Well said and very true, especially the last sentence.
I love the phrasing of the So Sad version he does with the Dead Cowboys. Slightly different than when he sang it with Phil.

I’m a long-time fan of the Everlys, Jacqui, but I’ve recently “rediscovered” them, too, and I can’t seem to get enough.
Was heart-warming to hear Don mentioning Phil before he sings.
I guess I love this too much, it’s only been 3 weeks since I watched it last! 💖
Awesome Don you are so beautiful....
LOVE the Everlys
Can't believe it's been a year. He sure impacted so many lives with his brother Phil as well as with his solos.
Excellent! Love and miss you Don! 💖
Great songs and unforgettable memories by the Everlys. Thank you , Don.

This is Phil not Don, love them both
No this is Don. He played with The Dead Cowboys. They formed this group during Don and Phil’s hiatus.
