I over dose on j. p. and j. d.. in equal measures, came across this on you tube. The depth of words and true gift of song comes right over. Thank you all, to live in this Era, prine, , cash, kris, Harrison, Dylan etc. It's a blessing. 🙏😍☝️
Wife and I were sitting last Sunday Eve no TV no Kids or Grandkids guess we were having an empty nest moment not saying much. Grabbed the remote applied the verbal command and John had us smiling and conversing in no time. We were blessed to know his music and wit. Saw him at a concert near Pittsburgh Pa a few years past. They say when you pass all you have are your memories. I Hope So.
Heard of John in the early 90s my sister in law turned us on to him.I don't care how many times you hear his music it makes my wife and I reflect .You come Way feeling good. You must RUclips The house of Strumboo ........Not sure on that last word sorry.

Does anyone know the name of the first song that John Prine sang? I’m kind of new to his music; it was a beautiful song. The song that Phil sang - “Danger, Danger” - was recorded by the Everly Brothers for their 1984 album “EB84”.
The acoustic/ electric is an Ovation made in Connecticut. It has a carbon fiber(I think) bowl- shaped back. Forget the model but it's their top if the line. They also made unique looking solid body electrics: the Preacher and the Deacon(again if I remember)
