You know that in the original HL 1 Barney and Gman was voiced by the same guy right? AND the same guy still voices Guards AND Gman here again I think its actually really cool
Kevin Sisk (d'beerguy), voice actor for the Security Guards, also provided voices for the G-Man and all the Vorts found in Interloper. He also voiced one of the scientists who briefed Gordon prior to the experiment in the Mod Version; that is until they had the Kevan Brighting (aka the Narrator from Stanley Parable) to redo his lines, since they really wanted Brighting to have at least a few lines in the game. Also, Sisk was the one who made the new HEV Model.

I think about 5.7 gigs or something on my system, I was more surprised about VRAM use that was close to six gig as well... most modern games dont even use that much or likewise as much, i blame it on the textures and new effects using a lot of memory and source simply being outdated. more modern engine may have better graphics with u sing less resources or better compression techinque, idk...

Now I need to test how long it takes me to play through BM from Anomalous Materials to Nihilanth!

I loved half-life when it first came out, a mix of action, puzzles, and (at the time), mind blowing visuals. First I played Black Mesa (when it was a beta) and was like "omg this is fabulous" finished it and cut off and told I have to wait "I sulked like a child waiting for the next ice cream). Having just played it all over again up till this point I'm blown away with what Crowbar Collective have achieved, I can't find words to describe their effort and commitment to the project that has culminated in a proper remake of a classic game that re-defined games as they stand today. Next up HL2? :o)
OMG, it's amazing. The nihilanth boss fight used to be annoying with him teleporting you, but now he throws f***ing cars!!!! Really well done. I just think the G-man voice came out weirder than usual.

Except for Interloper. That chapter needs to be cut by about 2/3.

Incredible work that should be available to everyone on every platform possible My only real gripe with the Nihilanth level (which I have only seen here and haven’t been able to play yet) is it’s the only part of Xen that worked for me, as it was a bit of a sprawling inter dimensional puzzle, and you were constantly being teleported away. Sure it needed some tweaking, but just turning it into a, admittedly very impressive boss fight, seemed a bit of a waste and missing the point of the enemy itself

I just beat this and came to watch this silky smooth 60p gameplay because my old 2012 computer couldn’t handle the final fight and it felt like I was playing it at 5fps. Somehow managed to beat it under those conditions haha. Goodness how well done this all is! I think they did such a great job with Xen!
We're in the endgame now. Once this is done we need to fund the hell out of it (or now if you don't mind pre-releases, Xen will be free once it's done) and encourage them to work on Half Life 3. The alien factory is looking incredible.
They team behind this game deserves a lot of credit. It took more than a decade, but they are so close to finishing this game. It takes a lot of dedication to work on a project that long without giving up.
The boss fight was intense, and the portal leading to it was awesome. I didn't care that much for Gman though; his voice was a bit too high pitched and the delivery was a little too quick-paced. It kind of lacked the gravitas that typically came from Gman. The callback to half-life 2 was neat though.
I remember killing Nihilanth twenty years ago by getting onto it's head and whacking him to death with the crowbar.
