This is a truly wonderful and perfect interpretation of Scarborough Fair. It really works well in a jazzy version. I will certainly look up more of your work.
Gobsmackingly beautiful rendition of the traditional. This goes straight into my favourites on YT, first place. Thanks very much for sharing! Keep the good work up ...
You can see the emotion rushing through their bodies, it's a wonderful thing to watch. To me, this is a very original take on such a timeless song and that to me is what a cover should be. I definitely look forward to the production of more music from you guys.
This arrangement makes me well up from the beauty and emotion. Incredible. My background is classical piano, but this makes me want to immerse myself in jazz.
oh my god this is so relaxing. I picure you guys playing in a cosy restaurant. it would be so popular. I would come and eat there everyday! Keep it up. :) 5/5
Great arrangement of my favorite piece in Dorian mode! For me, this piece has always been the definition of nostalgia and longing. It is the medieval market place, vivid and yet belongs to a bygone era. The jazz arraignment gives it a modern touch and nonchalance. 👍👍👍
Though I understand why people say its not that great because its just a simple jazz piece with Scarborough Fair-ish sounding parts, they forget that it requires quite a bit of skill to take such a complicated vocal duet piece and turn it into such a great jazz arrangement. Plus, it was play impeccably. True though, there were parts where I forgot I was listening to Scarborough Fair, but I certainly wouldn't call this a bad arrangement or performance.
its indeed a wonderful arrangement. but you cant really compare it with S&G's version, do you? they are both beautiful in 2 different ways (but to be honest i find S&G's version more remarkable)
Though I understand that you prefer the delicate vocal version, I wouldn't say that they destroyed it by writing this. Its simply another interpretation, and theres still a great amount of feeling in this. Far from techno... please.
gave it 4 stars but it feels like it deserves 3 only because it uses so little of the original, i wouldn't even call it scarborough fair, it's sorta like a nice typica jazz piece with a bit of scarborough melody in the middle or here and there, naming a song for the same of naming it something that resemebles a big song sucks, it's just basic jazz playing, nothing special.
I've descovered I really enjoy jazz ensombles latley hearing this song like this makes me happy. It is a bueatifull combo of instruments.
This is a truly wonderful and perfect interpretation of Scarborough Fair. It really works well in a jazzy version.

Absolutely Fabulous!! Listening to this made me want to be right there in that room with all the rest of those lucky people.
that's my uncle on piano! :)
I study with this song playing recently.
it's so relaxing and touching.
This should have way more views than any of that mainstream crap out in the world. This is real music.
Those who say its not that great simply don't understand jazz, or music for that matter. This was a fantastic arrangement that was played beautifully.
So fluid and harmonious. I love it, one of my favorite versions of this song.
wonderful version of this so much loved song !
I can't get enough of this song. you guys are great.
never heard the song in this way before. it´s just beautiful!!!
Gobsmackingly beautiful rendition of the traditional.

Marc Van Roon plays the piano so tenderly.

A gift from the European Jazz Trio, actually.
That's your uncle?! I'm a huge huge fan after hearing this. He's amazing :)

Simply gorgeous! I think this version uses enough of Scarbrough Fair for my taste. I might buy a CD of the European Jazz Trio.
Pure Poesi...
Wow!
Sounds a bit like George Winston's renditions. Lovely !!

True. Although it's the same song they are very different.
love to play to marybeth
Where can I purchase the piano sheet music? I would really appreciate it!
This waaay too short.
I'ts like we're inside our dreams
elliott smith on bass?
How can I get the scores?
1:44 His left hand is nearly under the keybord. My pianoteacher would kill me if I would do it in Lesson
i like the old one better.
Much more saddening.

No me gusta el jazz, pero esta versión de scarborough fair, en una tarde fria y gris de invierno tiene su atractivo.
Not all that jazzy though =/
But still very good. This is a song that can be done in any way and still be awsome.
escala dorica
This is ok =) to say the least
its indeed a wonderful arrangement.
but you cant really compare it with S&G's version, do you?

and pls excuse my poor english ^^
its nice enough but hmmmm i dont know?
Skilled people. But there is a common problem of all jazz arrangemenst - too much improvistation which buries the original melody.
Too much improvisation.
You can no longer call it: Scarborough Fair.
Is that your mom in the background?
.

barely sounds like it, too fruity.
