Ja.
Jan Johannsson is a real virtuoso, subtly brilliant. One of those musicians that always come out with the right notes at the right time. His technique is also brilliant!
An autodidact on the piano, and on jazz (except from a few hints from playing with Stan Getz and such). He studied civil engineering in chemistry, but quit to become a full time musician instead.
Lovely music! I did a minor check via mister google: Jan died in 1968, Rune (guitar) in 2012, Gunnar (bass) in 2004 and Ingvar (drums) in 2010. Tack så mycket, killar!

@@henrikwikstroem Hi, I was just wondering if you would be willing to send me the transcription? If so you please send it to: tsymboler@gmail.com Hope to hear from you soon! 😃
If you mix jazz, Swedish folk songs and Bach, you get Jan Johansson. It´s amazing that you can hear so much of Johansson´s sound in Scandinavian jazz to this day. I regard him as the godfather of Scandinavian jazz, but I´m not a historian or anything!
The Swedish Metal community owes so much to Mr. Johansson and his fellow musicians.
I think more that all Swedish music owes more to Scandinavian folk music, even Jan Johanson.
YOu mean because of his sons?

His two sons are really accomplished musicians now. Carrying their father’s torch.
This music captures the very essence of Sweden...Low key but majestic!

one of the greatest swedish musicians...
The melancholy of leaving everything put into tones
Jan Johansson levererar. Får mig gråtmild. Så underbara toner.
So simple, yet so sublime. A musical wonder!

One of the most brilliant magical moments. Wow, what a great playing & arrangement. Pure beauty!
