Correction with Katya - The skin draft with exposed midriff is not what they will be changing her default look to, this will be a new free skin for all players who got Katya before the change. New Katya change will include another leotard underneath her leotard that will cover her butt and front a little bit more.

Many consider themselves lucky for avoiding the bullshit happening in Western forms of entertainment, only for unnecessary censorship and toning down to remind them exactly of the bullshit happening in Western forms of entertainment. I'm not at all into gacha games and even I know that censoring practically half of your costumes is extremely stupid and is pretty much a death knell. Gacha is crowded, and even more are coming out, this isn't going to help Snowbreak in the long-run. Now there will always be doubt about their future updates.
Honestly, there's been a lot of misinterpretation and doomposting about it all from players wherever I've looked and people trying to clear it up only to accidentally fuel the fire. It's an unfortunate situation but it isn't going to kill the game. Considering the rumour floating around about malicious outside factors trying to sabotage the game, I hope Seasun and Kingsoft step up protection of Snowbreak on their side. Given how big those companies are in China, I didn't expect Snowbreak would go through these kinds of hardships as much as they have. Pretty great breakdown of everything here, with any luck the confusion and hysteria will die down soon.
First I was upset, but now I calmed down after a day of thinking. I considered leaving the game after this fiasco, but I decided to not. Mainly because they can always cook some good outfit to my favourite characters.
This will effect their decision making process going forward. Now it's retroactive censorship, but next it will be censorship in the creative process to appease whatever forces that be.
Still make no sense for Global side, they should just make split the changes on diff server. I know its unfair for CN bros but if you live in and play in CN, you knows how strict your country is. Azur Lane also did this , they don't have any problem so no excuse we getting axe globally

Huh, well that sucks. I just started playing this game when an online friend recommended it to me. I was having fun with it and with the game being uncensored made me appreciate it more. Welp, good thing I haven't whaled yet.
This reminds me of the Honkai 3rd censorship with their first summer event skins, except Hoyoverse (then Mihoyo) handled it worse. They didn't give us a chance to get the skin before it was banned, unlike Snowbreak here. I really regretted not being able to get the skins, and it was one of my reasons to quit the game as I had missed the event but started playing before the ban.
tbh at this point the devs should just balance out between fanservice and gameplay like 50/50 each instead of focusing solely on the fanservice cuz sure they can make all the girls to have a plastic surgery for HUGE booba but if the gameplay is still the same (but reskin then they could just remove the shooting gameplay and turn the game into hentai at this point (jk))... like I love fanservice and all but god I keep having deja vu every time I play the gamemode for each path :/

I fear that this "update" will end up illustrating "How a Gacha Game Goes from Thriving to End-of-Service (EOS) in Two Months". Here's the timeline of what I'm afraid might happen: August 30, 2024: The dreaded update occurs. The game loses at least 95 percent of its players, including ALL of the whales (players who actually spend money on the game). September 30, 2024: Amazing Seasun announces that Snowbreak will EOS on October 30, 2024; as the number of players never recovered. October 30, 2024: Snowbreak goes EOS.
@@ArchiveRisen While it's true they give uncensor solution, the fact that from now on they will cater to more "safe" design for their future content is not changing, so personally i guess it pretty understandable if some doesn't want support the game anymore since they remove something that draw the player into their game in the first place. not to mention they selling the removed outfit in limited time before completely removed from the game store can be seen as money grabber and exploit FOMO from the players, if they're really genuine with the old player better give some of it for free to the player, it's gonna be removed anyway (thus doesn't matter since after the removal they can't use the skin/outfit for future sales), but instead they trying to milk out of it for the last minute.
