Thank you for tuning in today' vid! Let me know any editing questions you may have. Also, here's the link to the prints of the artwork I edit in today's video: www.carolina-arevalo.com/shop/debes-ir-a-la-selva Happy creating 🦋
Thanks, I take photos of my outdoor paintings, transfer them to procreate. Then add details and colour changes… , I try to keep the textures created by traditional brush works … . Then I go back and edit my traditional painting. I am now left with a good digital painting and a improved traditional painting. Textures well seen on traditional painting. Digital painting show some smoothness. I don’t feel that I am cheating. One method is helping me to improve on the other method.
Wow it's so interesting to watch the process of how you make your artwork come to life so vividly. Look forward to seeing more videos from you. You're amazing 😍
Ciao Caro, thank you for sharing your working process and to show the differences between original art and digital editing. Sometimes the fear to lose freshness and spontaneity with digital editing stops us to change anything digitally, but I guess it's all a matter of knowing what to retouch, what to keep and to let go. Have a great weekend
This was SO helpful and detailed, Caro, thank you! I actually just purchased my own Canon scanner and I’m dying to give this a try with my prints. You’re a life saver as usual. 🙏
Really valuable info and a beautiful painting! Editing is an art just as painting is, there are so many creative and personal choices to make. Thank you!
Thank you Caro for going over this amazing software for artist! I love that you demonstrated basic ideas, but yet so powerful! Your artwork is Spiritual and Amazing! Thank you for sharing!
Caro!!! You make the most loveeeely relaxing, calming and inspiring videos! I just started my channel and I really really appreciate all of your hard work!! Now I really understand and know how much work goes into making these. You are so good at this, so generous and helpful!! Thank you for what you do and what you share! I look forward to trying this in my own work! With love, Justine
hi caro, thank you for showing us!! :) i am just getting started with digital illustrations, scanned ones and printing. i am still in the 🤯🫣😳😫🙈-phase :D aka. learning and figuring out, what suits me best… :) could you please share, which ipad you use or with which equipment and software you have started to make prints for selling and worked fine? do you scan with 300dpi or 600? how do you manage color for the paintings to look as when printed? would be so happy and grateful, if you would share, as your prints are looking so incredible! i had problems with printing and the printshop said: „scanning and then printing doesn’t work… you always need to work in cmyk and do plenty of digital management for it to look good when printed“🤯?! hope you don't mind me asking so many questions!💜🌸🙋🏻♀
I recently got into procreate and has been obsessed about it. Such a great app. This video is really helpful as I have always wanted to know how to use it fir your art.
Thanks for this educational video. It looks like your original artwork was larger than the scanner. I was wondering if it is possible to stitch together 2 scans in Procreate. Thanks for your time!
Caro, me encantó que compartieras tu proceso de digitalización. Es un gran trabajo😊. Me encanta ver tus videos y ni quebhablar de tu arte. Mi nombre es Analia vivo e España. Te mando un fuerte abrazo 🤗
I was wondering why do you scan your original art? woulda a picture not get you the same quality? is there any other scanner in the market available for bigger paper sizes?
Hola Caro! I’m so happy to have found your channel! You’re really inspiring me to push my own personal, spiritual and art practice. I was wondering if you could share some artists that inspire you, I really enjoyed watching your book collection video. Thank you so much for all the effort you put into sharing moments of your inner world 🙏🏽 lots of love all the way from Australia 💗
Hi Caro I’m sure someone has asked already but are you able to give us the details of the printer model you use? I just love your work and everything else you do... so inspiring!... thank you for sharing ❤️🤗
I just purchased this painting!! 🥲 first of many, you’re my favorite artist - tu me inspiras, soy muy emocionada para poner tu cuadro en mi estudio ☁️✨🌌
Thank you Caro!! These are amazing tips and even though I'm saving up money to buy a proper tablet, I'm currently using a very old version of Wacom to do the "cleaning up". By the way, have you tried Huion tablets? Are they any useful? Love to hear your thoughts! Send love and light your way! :D
Caro, what is the camera you use?? i teach yoga online and i think i am ready to upgrade from my laptop camera and start recording videos for my patreon on a proper camera
Gracias 💖
Thanks for the info.......I still prefer the old fashion way for myself....non-digital I am not into making prints either.......just one original I don't like things looking too perfect IMHO scanning /printed original artwork is NEVER the same color as the original art they are 2 different mediums & substrates
I'm there with you, definitely two different mediums and substrates! I come from the background of printmaking so making prints is very ok in my list, and the original painting will of course always be a whole other game! I can't wait to start making prints the traditional way with etching (my favorite medium from them all! working with the acids is such a beautiful process) linoleum and woodcut again

Thank you kindly dulces.
which pen are you using to draw on your tablet?
Thank you! Whats the printer model?
Hello Caro, what tablet are you using?
Just to remind you , every simple imperfection in your draws are PERFECT! That’s makes the (your) art something unique and human as well
