We have a lovely print compaany who sssrves local artists, and you can take youf original to them if you like, and they can make prints from that instead of from a digital file. (They work with digital files too.) Thank you for these videos on how to navigate this!
Thank you for sharing your process with us. I became so discouraged with the local print shops, I bought a large format printer for my own and I was able to get other local artists to work with and printed their work too! I have created non standard sizes for my original artworks as well as common sizes. I have also changed the non standard sizes to standard by cropping or printing with larger borders. I did not see the scanning video you spoke about in the video in the description below, I did not see a playlist. I suppose that it is listed at your channel listing ? Lovely hearing from you as always, your such an amazing artist and kind person. I do miss being a part of the Patreon groups. Ahh well I hope your still doing well over there. Please take care, be safe and thank you for sharing all of your fantastic pastel techniques.
Thank you! The scanning video is here ruclips.net/video/iUNzFOdU_8s/видео.html That's great that you got your own large format printer. I would love that!
@@jillellen2631 I purchased the Epson 4800 stylus Pro. I use mostly 17x22 sheets but I do have rolls of 17x100 feet! I have used the canvas roll for a couple of banners
Hi Emma, thank you for sharing this video, could you please confirm which paper you use for the prints? I use Marrutt photopaper, but I like the idea off fitting them in a tube and this paper will crease if I do so! What is your preference? Thank you.
Emma, I noticed that you sign with a pencil. I have heard artists do this because it has more value. Is that right? Also if you sign with a pencil doesn't that make it easy for someone to erase it and sign their own name? I just don't understand the benefit of signing with a pencil. Thanks
I'm not sure if there is a reason most artists do it. I wasn't aware of one. I chose to simply because it's not too noticeable and doesn't stand out unless you're up close. Anyone could put their signature on my original work if they buy it and call it their own also, I'm not worried about that happening to be honest. Anyone purchasing a print tends to just want to hang it in their home.
I'm not sure what you mean. This video is the full video in this case. I do have a Patreon channel with my full library of tutorials and lots more at www.patreon.com/emmacolbertart
I have a video showing me scan at ruclips.net/video/iUNzFOdU_8s/видео.html But as long as you just set the piece gently face down it's not going to smudge. It will only smudge if something is dragged over the surface. You can also photograph if that's easier, both are shown in my video above.
Thank you for this video it’s extremely helpful.
Thank you Emma, this is nothing I'd do but it is fascinating listening. You make such interesting tutorials.
Thank you! I really appreciate that :-)
Great information. Thanks, Emma!

I don’t see anywhere about the link being provided to the actual place on Patreon where you do the full length video

What do you do to not have your painting smudge in the scanner?

Um, I live 3 hrs away from nearest print shop. Bought my own printer instead.
