Also how to make other kinds of skirts! EXCELLENT explanation of pi theory!!
I enjoyed length of your video with me being a new sower and have never made a skirt before. I see that you left out how you gathered the skirt, how did you do the gathering on the skirt before sowing the waistband?
Thank you for your kind words Sylvia. Sorry I missed that step in the video. It’s very easy. All you need to do is pull on either the top or bottom threads in both of the rose of gather stitching you did. This is a simple way to prep gathers for any project. When you pull on the thread you’ll see how the fabric starts to bunched together and the thread holds it in place. All you need to do is move the fabric along until you have even gathers and the skirt has shrunk up to the size of your waistband. 😊
