Besides some oil burning problems thats generally not a bad engine.
Oil leaks seem to be a problem with AUDI. You would fint the plarks soaking in oil

Can you fix the oil consumption or is ussles to rebuild the engine ?
It's a relatively cheap engine to maintain i believe, i just did an overhaul on it top gasket, rings and Bearings then your on the road again.
