    embiid is actually clutch

    I gotta admit, I didn't agree with process at first, but only because of Embiid, I now Trust the Process. He's a bigger Hakeem Olajuwon, maybe not as quick, who can shoot 3's in this new era of the NBA. He's made it much more exciting to be a sixers fan this year. Future looks good.

    • @bigcheech1937
      @bigcheech1937 7 лет назад

      CapitalJ2 why didn't you agree with the process? we never really saw him play prior to this season

    • @CapitalJ2
      @CapitalJ2 7 лет назад +6

      I mean I didn't like the tanking process

    • @bigcheech1937
      @bigcheech1937 7 лет назад +1

      To be honest, I was wondering if he was worth the wait...looks like the Sixers Front Office knew something we all didn't.

    • @balage76
      @balage76 7 лет назад +7

      And the proccess is not just about Embiid. He is the main thing, but the team has great draft picks in the near future, there is financial-flexibility, there are great contracts, there is a great culture, lead by Brett Brown, there is a new training center, which is no.1 in the states, etc,etc. All of these thing is part of the proccess, which started by Hinkie. Sixers was a mediocre team heading into nowhere. There was a need to restart, and it takes 3 years (would've taken one season less, if it wasn't Embiids second surgery). But it worth the wait and suffering, and all those losses.
      And yes, Embiid is great. I think he needs to be mention when we talking about Defensive Player of the Year. The team is no.1 with Embiid on the floor, and 25th without him, in January. This is not other, than defensive impact.

    • @Avaryable
      @Avaryable 7 лет назад +7

      Embiid is special and he will continue to improve if you compare the games in january with early season it's baffling how graceful and agile a 7'2 human can be he got quicker and got more bounce in his step. just imagine him having a normal offseason where he can train his lower body.

      Already better ,KAT is a liability on defense and actually makes his team worse while he's on the floor and playing defense . Embiid is the GOAT don't look further than their second meeting KAT got emasculated

    • @OrdinaryBeastYT
      @OrdinaryBeastYT 7 лет назад +4

      Embiid is currently a much more valuable player. Towns is so much worse on defense. But Towns is also I believe 1.5-2 years younger so he has time to improve.

    I don't think I'm going to call him "The Process". I'm calling him "The Prodigy". He only really started playing basketball seriously when he was 16 and he is now 22. Also take into account he has missed the last two seasons with a foot injury. He didn't play a full year of college because he was injured. So what 3 and half years of competitive basketball and he is doing this at the highest level in the NBA. "Prodigy".

      Dave Lo and he doesn't have Hakeem's skill set either. Olajuwon would cross people over and take it to the rim for a dunk, or hit Shaq with the hesitation move and drive past him for a layup.

      Robert Balejik yeah his stats are good in today's comparison. it's like he's moving in slow motion. he's only played like 30-40 games in his career in a league of scrubs!! Watch the 86' playoffs Rockets vs Lakers and Celtics, or watch game 7 of the 88' playoffs Rockets vs Sonic's, then you'll see that Embiid is light years away from Hakeem's talent!

      I mainly know Hakeem's perfomances in 94,95 playoffs and Embiid is not there definitely. Maybe not as fast as dream but still great player

      embiid isnt that far off compared to hakeem at this age, his stats are actually better per 36 minutes. Although embiid might be a little slower and doesnt have quicker footwork YET, he is bigger and stronger than hakeem. A problem with olajuwon back in the day is that he would sometimes try to use too many unnecessary fakes and fade away instead of just bulldozing to the paint. That is something that jojo looks like he can do with his strength. also embiid has not played competitive ball in over 2 years so he is still finding his groove which is remarkable about his potential. To say that "embiid is light years away from hakeem's talent" is plain ignorant since he is only 22 and obviously shows superstar potential. its UNLIKELY that he'll be as good as hakeem but if there is anybody that can do it then joel has the skillset for it. and i have olajuwon as a top 10 player of all time.

    I'm a Warriors fan, but if Simmons and Embiid can stay healthy, they can challenge the Warriors in 2-3 years.

      Armando De Los Santos
      Hakeem would have stripped him of the ball every possession. People are stupid. He has rookie post moves unlike Okafor who is the best post player since his debut.
