Joel Embiid is truly a generational talent. He has the size, strength, and dominance of Shaq with the gracefulness and footwork of Hakeem and the elite shotmaking ability of players like Kobe and Durant. One of the deepest bags of any big in NBA history.

I'm not saying he's the best player or anything, but I think Joel, more than any other player in history, has plays that resemble or are identical to those of other all-time greats. In one game he'll capture the idiosyncrasies of 20 different legends, pulling out middies from KD, Dirk, Kobe, or MJs playbook, hitting stepback 3s like Luka or Harden, dominating down low like Shaq, Hakeem or Wilt, he's even starting to throw in some ball fakes and passes reminiscent of Chris Paul, Magic or even his contemporary Jokic. And then of course he has his own quirks and moves that are completely unique to him. He's just such a unique talent

Jokic is the best overall offensive player imo while Embiid is the best scorer. With that being said Giannis is the best player. If I have to rank their careers it'll be Giannis >Jokic>Embiid but if we're talking about as a 1v1 player then I'll say Embiid>Giannis >Jokic.

@russellcast1749 .. to be fair, I think we’ve been robbed of getting to see Embiid have team/playoff success because of injuries same with Jokic in a way (hopefully this year, we’ll see them on full display).. and for all Jokic does offensively, it hasn’t translated to more winning than Embiid, so I can’t say he’s more effective in a 5v5 scenario or 1v1.. to my eye, Embiid gets teammates open looks by his gravity (due to the 1v1 stuff) and Jokic accomplishes that with passing creativity.. I truly think it’s just a preference of style between the 2 of them, not effectiveness.. and Giannis is in a different category until one of the other 2 gets over the hump
