Watching the trailer, it looks like something from 15 years ago. I love the Ready Player One universe, but this doesn't seem right. In 2024, with the technology we have, there are games with movements, graphics, and concepts that are light years ahead of this. The Readyverse should be something cutting-edge, not a poor copy of Second Life.
Looks like an awful rip off of VR Chat which came out in 2014.

Some say that this company is not going to create the Metaverse as imagined in the film Ready Player One.
Fornite and Roblox are no better than this one, except for the fact that they already have millions of players worldwide and numerous game modes. But this Metaverse game is really going to revolutionise the world of gaming and the metaverse. Because they have assets, characters, unique items where only one person can have it. This makes characters MORE rare and therefore more valuable.
Readyverse just needs to get it right, and take their time to give us the best experience possible, and better than Fornite.
If we can really customise and make our characters unique like in Street Fighter 6 and we can really have multiple animations, dances like in Fornite, and our vehicles are fully customisable (thanks to DOT 2.0), I'd buy this game if only we could jump from portal to portal to go from one game to another without having to leave the Futureverse launcher (like in the first few minutes of the Ready Player One film).
I hope this AAA game will stand out from the others, because in Fornite, I'm starting to get bored of playing battle royale all the time. I really want to be in a huge, open world where you can explore everything and anything and create your own stories.
and frankly, I hope we'll be able to have as much fun with our characters as we did in VR CHAT !

If you added a good character customizer with sliders like in Street Fighter 6 or something and I can make an alien, I'll buy it
I hope its better. This trailer makes it seem like theres a limited amount of characters and the animations seem simplistic. Also, AI generating 3d models? That is barely possible just yet. Im excited to try it out, it just seems a little out of reach
well you notice they only show like 2 chair models in the game being shuffled around. i don't think it generates 3d models at all, i think it's just essential a feature that uses a simple language model to allow you to search through the limited number of assets they have in the game.
To be fair, those 3D models surely didn't look like they had any human for even quality assurance. Jokes aside, it totally looks like a basic AI chatbot simply replaces navigating through menus, as everything either looked pregenerated or incredibly easy to do in many games by just... opening a menu.

Upon reviewing i hope your partnering with ninvidia for servers or for the hardware approach I was severely disappointed with the limited capabilities of ready player one the first game. And the oasis is a potential reality reality but it would take a massive server like Facebook to run such things but has to have .ninvidia backing it.....😅..might need to ... relaunch. your run animations need more variation.getting allot of different vibes from your run animation like pubg esc. I just have a soft spot for your book._the movie grabbed me and hold my hopes high.

This is the single most powerful argument against using Ai I've ever seen. Can you not see with your own eyes this looks neither intriguing nor amazing? Crappy textures, outdated graphics, the absence of artistic vision (and probably art direction), and weird animations.

Isn't Ready Player One a story about the world being so decayed and dystopian that people take literally any chance they can to escape to their equivalent of video games? Why are you guys so enthusiastic about emulating that in the real world?
Spotted the NFT monkey, and the movement animations look terrible. Enjoying the use of AI to generate environments, though. Holding out until it either succeeds or flops.
I feel like partnering with someone like epic games would do wonders for character and environment design since they've already made it. Just my 2 cents. I hope the graphics will be better than this.
the eyes of Parzival aren't same how in the movie. In the movie Parzival was best detailed
this doesn't feel right, this feels like a flat screen PC game and not a fully realized VR readyverse experiance that feels souless and not connected to what the universe is about. this just feels like a anyone who is anyone can just get a shitty PC and run this on their hardware without any effort which is not what Ready Player one was about. wheres the VR aspect of it all? all i see is 3rd person crappy movements

Bla... I was so excited when I heard about this project. I watched all the content I could and was really getting pumped. This is not what they told us was being created. Delay the project. Develop it. The is a fail. People are too smart to fall for shuffling furniture.

I understand that you guys are just getting started, and I am confident that you will make significant improvements.but you should capture people's interest right from the start to convince them that this will be a AAA game. I am expecting an Illuvium-like quality or even better...

I can't believe anyone would ever make something this cool. If it's half of what the team at Futureverse is selling it as, it's going to change the world as we know it. (Hopefully in a better way than the OASIS changed Ernest Cline's world.)

How is it a cash grab? You can play for free, you own any assets you purchase and you can sell them at any point.. that’s a lot less cash grabby than how gaming is today.
Sure, companies will be taking advantage but you can choose where to go and where or where not to put your money
Also forgot to mention the 15 million dollar plus prize pool & community rewards Futureverse are giving out.. on top of that giving users control of their data.. it’s very pro consumer
