Also- I think the mismatch of items might be intentional. Like hand-me-downs, stuff you get from "thrift shops," the kids furniture is more modern cause the parents recently had to buy it,,, etc. Just a thought :D
I love the random buy mode. Usually packs are so stylized. This one is filled with stuff that will compliment other stuff from the other packs. Totally agree tho, hand me downs. It’s nice there’s a mix of vintage and modern stuff I just wish the modern stuff wasn’t so strange 😂 but I’m excited for modders to make add on sets of the vintage stuff and the craftsman windows and doors
But you can just mix and match from other packs and things? Imo mismatched should be a vibe you choose to go for, not one forced upon us by lack of variety 😭
I was also hoping for a more apartment-y, small townhome filled world. That's the iconic image of San Fran and it also would have been new and different. We've seen this world before.
I'm so excited for this pack! I"m a bay area kid and I love that this pack is more based on the East Bay and Peninsula suburbs of the bay area, Do you remember the show "Parenthood", its about 10 years old - this show was based in Berkeley and has the same craftsman home style theme. Sequoias are the mascot for Stanford University and Gilbert Gardens is a take on Gilroy Gardens- a theme park in Gilroy Ca. So excited to play in this world!!!! This is also totally the area that a lot of the developers live and work in (Redwood City is south of San Francisco) They've probably been working from home for the past 3 years so they probably feel very connected to their neighborhoods. I mean, I kind of feel like San Myshuno is like San Francisco already.
I'm also from the East Bay, and I'm so glad someone said this! I also was excited for the city vibes, but the neighborhoods from the pack that I've seen totally remind me of suburbs around here. I'm excited!
YES! i’m also from the bay area and this pack reminds me sm all the memories i have of visiting san francisco on weekends! i cant wait until i can play the pack omg
My home growing up was a mix of modern and more classic weathered furniture. My parents let me pick out my furniture and I had a very different style to them. My mom’s style was more nature and country… I hated that style. Dad was more mixed so what we ended up with was mixed too. I think a lot of families are like that… so I like the mix of build and buy items. Feels realistic to a growing family on a budget especially….
I definitely agree about the buy mode items not feeling complete. There's some stuff that feels out of place and a lot of staples that I thought would fit great into the pack, like a new highchair for example, that we just didn't get. I think the modern stuff looks nice, but I feel like having more starter furniture would have made more sense in this pack to me. It feels weird that for a pack called growing together, the furniture in the pack doesn't seem to "grow" if that makes sense.
I’m also a bit disappointed in the world, I’m tired of suburban detached houses and spaced out houses. apartments or townhouses would’ve been perfect for this but I’m excited to play with the new features
I am so excited for the new life stage update that comes out tomorrow and being able to create a familial dynamic and compatibility in CAS is gonna be a lot of fun
I spent all weekend building and prepping a house.. now you build this and my whole build was for no reason. I LOVE the house you built, the first one, haven't seen the others yet but wow wow wow! Even more exited for the game now to play with this house, you are so talented. Thank you for building this house for us!
I agree watching the official sims videos I didn't feel that there was much cohesion between the items but I'm glad to see that with those items you could still make a cool house it cheered me up 😂
As someone born and raised in Sonoma County (an hour and a half north of SF for those unfamiliar) - between the sequoia references and the more suburban focus on the neighborhoods - it’s giving everything surrounding SF more than SF itself to me 😂😅 San Rafael comes to mind looking at this world
One day I would like to buy the laundry day, spa day, cottage living, city living and growing together packs. these are my favorite ones from what I have seen.
My favorite house of yours is your Eclectic Victorian House in StrangerVille. I have renovated it for my family and can’t wait to use the new objects from the update and pack now, too. I love this world because the tiny rays of sunlight is my favorite part of the house. I love the layout and and the whole structure of it 🧡🤗 It feels so realistic to me and I have also extended the garden a little bit, as my Sims are really into gardening. But yes, overall this is possibly one of my favorite houses that you ever build! 🥰
I actually like the different themes. People with different build preferences and styles can get a lot out of this pack. I feel like this is a great pack for people who can only afford one
I was waiting so much of a build from you! You will always be my favorite ❤️ I also don’t like the style so much of the furniture, was hoping for sets and maybe some new kitchen counters. I’m excited for the big update tonight 🥰🥹 (I’m living in Germany) Have a lovely day!
Looking forward to getting this into my game later this week and checking it out firsthand. I am not upset about the world not being focused on the Victorian neighborhoods in the city, or having apartments,. When you gameplay, apartments are a pain. And we have tons of Victorian stuff already in the game. We needed more basic home furnishings as far as I’m concerned. Enjoyed the video 💜💜
i have this building idea, unasked but it's lurking in my mind, of a single dad with a baby, he's unaware of everything, just learning by himself and scared but totally willing to raise this baby by himself. and he's living in a reformed ex firefighter building, an industrial type of loft which works good with the mismatch furniture and the style I see on it. he moved there recently for more space for the baby and also because the rent is lower. it's giving romantic book trope lol but it's just an idea
I think the mismatched items are good because this is such a big pack at least gameplay wise so I think that many people would buy this pack over other ones so I think it’s good to have a mismatch of things so people can have more stuff in just one pack I hope that makes sense
i feel like that upright piano should have come in a base game update, there is nothing exclusive to family gameplay about an upright piano, and its the only one we've ever gotten in game.
I am curious to truly see the world after I get the pack, but so far, it doesn't look like San Francisco. At least not to me. It doesn't even look like typical California suburb to me... I also don't like the egg shaped couch and coffee table...I love the other couch. Very 90s whimsy goth mixed with traditional family home. I wish they leaned into that style a tiny bit more.
Minus the gameplay of Growing Together, I don’t really like everything else we got. EA finally gave us improved babies but then ignored everything else we wanted. So many people have been asking for new apartments, and it wouldn’t take as much work as our other asks like multi-family lots or being able to live on a retail/community lot if you own a restaurant/store/etc. that would’ve made a lot of sense for this pack too.
I hope we get a more city like world next time, It's so annoying that you either live in the suburbs or you live in san myshuno. I'd love to have at least 3 city worlds in this game. Give us some more variety we all don't live in the suburbs and every city isn't just high rises and penthouses. Give us an urban city with row houses and small to medium apartment buildings, or a poorer looking city with low income housing. With just a bit of research it could be done very well.
I was completely let down by the world. It’s giving another basic American suburb in my opinion. I was expecting the doll house style Victorian townhomes and city apartments as well. That’s what San Francisco in notoriously known for. I definitely feel like they dropped the ball in that aspect. Anyway I’m still looking forward to the babies and gameplay but I’m extremely cautious because we know EA knows how to sell us.
I'm thinking I might want to get this pack once it goes on sale. a lot of the items feel like they would work best getting mixed and matched with other packs which feels a little... unfair maybe? It's not as greedy as My First Pet Stuff or anything, I just have a hard time imagining someone playing the game with just GT and Base game.
I think the pack is nice, but some of the stuff looks too much like CC for me. Like the bathroom stuff and some of the wallpapers. It looks too realistic and might be hard to integrate the new items with old items
Also- I think the mismatch of items might be intentional. Like hand-me-downs, stuff you get from "thrift shops," the kids furniture is more modern cause the parents recently had to buy it,,, etc. Just a thought :D
Thats exactly what I was going to say. Or also the blending of multiple generations in one home.
that’s exactly what i thought!
I love this!

The most exciting thing to me is a new shower tub combo, finally!!!!!!

yes! it feels like the suburban extension of san myshuno which is very accurate to the bay area
Yesss
Thank you for this comment. So many people forget or don’t know that the Bay Area also has suburbs and is not just a big city!
My home growing up was a mix of modern and more classic weathered furniture. My parents let me pick out my furniture and I had a very different style to them. I’m so obsessed with the bathroom items coming with this pack(tile floors & wallpaper too) I was not expecting them to be so pretty!
THESE ITEMS ARE SO DANG BEAUTIFUL
Really like this house. Looks exactly like a family home I would expect
@SimLicy are you an architect? You seem to have very good spatial awareness. You're one of the finest builders I've seen.
I was hoping you got early access! I hope you build a rec center. I’d love to see what you do with the new pack plus using past packs!
I am so excited for the new life stage update that comes out tomorrow and being able to create a familial dynamic and compatibility in CAS is gonna be a lot of fun

Great build! I love the stove and the fridge but disappointed to see no new counters, I want a full kitchen set

Once this pack releases and Simlicy places this on the gallery will be ready to play this new pack! 💗😊
Loving the kids stuff and the piano and the new fridge and stove (:
I find your videos so calming to watch
I actually like the different themes. People with different build preferences and styles can get a lot out of this pack. I feel like this is a great pack for people who can only afford one
Luv it, my grandparents live there 😂❤
I love it, it's gorgeous and very realistic. Thank you for sharing it with us. ❤
Bravo! Another beautiful house.
Loved that all three are so different. Can’t wait to download them and add them to the new world.
Bestie promise us youre gonna make tons of houses when the packs come out? This is so good.
I love how there’s a changing table coming with the pack younger me was quite peeved when the sims 3 generations didn’t come with one 😂
I'm so excited for the update and the pack!! It would have been amazing to get another city world, the one you imagined would have been perfect!!!
I will have to use this house once you upload it to the gallery for my personal generations themed gameplay.
gorgeous house! Can’t wait to download it 😎
Me too!
I do really love the items. I'll probably get the pacl just for the build and buy but I'm sad about the world too. Not what I expected
@@tikusblue it would have been nice yo see a mix of both. A city apartment section with classic Victorians, a shoppable marina, and a small suburb
Such a lovely cozy build! Can't wait to see more x
Such a beautiful build!! Love every aspect of it.
PLEASE put this on the gallery thanks
Amazing build with new itens from Growing Together! 😍🤩
I really love all the furniture that comes with this and I'm excited. I'm sorry that your disappointed

I like the mis matched stuff. It feels more realistic.
Can't wait to play in it, thank you! 🤍
Thanks for your work ❤ I love watching your videos!
where and how can i finde this house in the gallery in sims ?

It's beautiful! When can we get it in the gallery?
I feel the same way you do.. I wish they would have made a complete set..
this is amazing!! I love it
Not your own fault lol! Everyone expected a different world let the sims team take some blame!
? Girl they always blame sims team so what are you talking abou
@@LeonorIsabel They not her lol

How do I find this on the gallery?

Will you be adding the houses to your savefile
I agree, I didn’t like the wierd modern style… like you said a lot of cool build and buy items but that wierd tall chair just seems uncool.
I am curious to truly see the world after I get the pack, but so far, it doesn't look like San Francisco. At least not to me. It doesn't even look like typical California suburb to me...

I’m honestly really frustrated by the lot size and orientation in the world. Very few are capable of having a backyard or a treehouse.
The windows tho 🥺

I’m so sorry but at 2:40 I thought you were gonna start rapping for some reason😭😭
I'm sorry but you just complain too much, great build like always though
I don't see the inspiration of San Francisco in this world.
I love your builds both CC and CC free but I’m wondering if you could make a cc version of all your non-cc houses 🤔
Best builder, hands-down ❤
I think the pack is nice, but some of the stuff looks too much like CC for me. Like the bathroom stuff and some of the wallpapers. It looks too realistic and might be hard to integrate the new items with old items
is it just me or these build items are giving Sims 2/3???
OMG your water mark is soo distracting lol.
The watermark is put there by EA when people are using the game early access, so they know who recorded the footage. I think it's to prevent leaks.
