This really is a cracking set of videos. Lots of info nicely edited and combined with good footage linked into charts / satellite imagery. All that plus the chat conveys what mucking around on a nice boat on the Irish waterways can be like if a bit of effort is expended. Thanks for your efforts in putting them together, they've given me lots of entertainment during the long Covid evenings. I built a small and very simple motorised proa in 2017 and went from Killaloe to Belleek and back. It was great fun and I swore I'd do something similar every year. Naturally, for all the usual reasons , the boat remains under a tarpaulin in the garden. However, this summer....
Thanks Mike, we make the videos because we think we have a great, and largely undiscovered waterway in Ireland that can rival any waterway in the world. Oh and we love making videos too. The only payment we get is great comments like yours👍 Ta Mike you make it all worth while 🍻 H&M
Hi again Lads, have no fear the Rosary beads are put away again! Listen, where,s part2, the one to Terryglass. I'm waiting SO patiently!lol. PS: Another great vlog, thank you!
As always a superb video. It was super seeing yourself and Mar in Portumna (We're still chomping on bikkies and now have a mirror to find the crumbs). Looking forward to seeing you again soon.
Great to see you guys again too. Next time we'll have to get out for a beer! Glad you enjoyed the video, and hey take it easy on those bikkies 👍 See you again soon. H&M
Hi Kathleen, If I were you I'd look at the upper end of the River Shannon. Maybe starting out in Carrick on Shannon and head up toward the Lough Key area and the Boyle River. The Shannon navigation is not so much a river as a series of linked lakes and tributaries so what you see on your return trip could be completely different to, the outgoing trip. 👍
Loads of lovely little backwaters down there, it really is a nice part of the river.
Yes and it should be on everyone's bucket list 👍

nice vid i was thinking of giong for a cruise somtime.
Boating is just a great escape, it's a chance to get away from it all, and of course you'd get some great drone opportunities.
Yes I have decided to get myself a rib.
@@dronenut6359 lucky you! what did u end up purchasing ?
@@KennethKilleen266 Got a Spark, not a great choice really. Battery life is too short for boat retrieval!
What is the average depth of river Shannon?
Hi Dimitar, Our boat draws just over 1Mtr and we very seldom would rub the bottom. Really the less you draw the better,
not like you @ portumna harry, thought you would have your times down to a T
😂😂😂
Ah you see we're on Shannon time! Least that's my excuse 😂
