So sorry to hear. In 2022 I bought S13 with SR20DET "freshly rebuilt". It gave out on me 5 days into owning this... It blew head gasket and I was just remarking it after getting it washed... Long story short, I had to rebuild it on my own :/
You seem cool bro, dont mind the rude comments lol. Atleast you have a spare nissan to pick off of now 👍 just gotta accommodate for the space it takes 💀
you bought a swapped s13 in 2023 for 7k. tf you think was gonna happen. you bought someones headache. all these new car guys trying to do youtube seem to have no concept of why people build stuff and not buy stuff already screwed with. Anytime you buy a modded car from someone its 100% a gamble.

Scam or not that's just how it goes now a days. Even in Japan they are starting to increase prices for many of their cars. My Sr hasn't started yet still diagnosing the issue but its been two years now and am thinking about selling it but if i do i probably won't find another one.
My old R32 Skyline had a similar issue, started dying and wouldn’t hold idle then eventually it wouldn’t start, I swapped the car for a Evo 7 and the new owner sold the car and my brother found the new owner and found that the car had no compression
When you see *one* S13 that is clean it is astonishing I remember way back never hearing never seeing of these my ol high school goons showed up with a S13 n gave me some rides it was bodykitted out flashy red but fucking wimpomatic slushbox n I was drooling @ it. Im not victim blaming you but I am. As someone already pointed out that car is shot yet it ran before you bought it. This is a lesson learned when you take on some1 else shitbox. No offense, I got a couple of my own but I would never pay that much let alone ask for that price unless it was in drivable condition and not a death trap.
Before I hear what the problem actually was I'm saying needs a valve job or fried rings. Check if you have oil pressure, if not rings. If so burnt valves. I'd be a cheap bastard, pull the head and lap the valves and cross fingers that's all it was.
Oof valve float. $180 from Crower for a full set isn't too bad long as everything else is good, might as well re-ring it while ya have it out and then you can find all the shot bearings.

100%
I still want one. No, not for drifting purposes. But either the S13 or S14 is my more obtainable dream car.
Buying anything these days is a fckn scam! Lol
Thats insane the previous owner actually agreed to help pay to fix it
Bro fr. I wouldn't have paid for shit.

Thats why u drive it like u stole it before u buy it. Or make the owner if not.. dont buy it or u offer them 3k
I actually gave it a hood test drive, which is the crazy part

Notchtop aside, you paid too much even if it was a good running car with no issues
Hey man, any ideas on the root cause why all the valves got bent or stuck partly open?
Only buy these cars from elderly people, the large majority that owns them are shysters with little to no mechanical knowledge.
Aww but that husky tho😊😊..... But either way old cars are getting expensive

Some paint and drop in a KA make it the daily
tbh bro, low compression could be a symptom of a faulty vvt solenoid or sensor
Turns out it wasn’t, I’m making an updated video soon
