it's hard work when it's not prepared. people often ride back down on the gondola after they've seen it.
*Only managed to do the complete run from Schilthorn to Lauterbrunnen a couple of times, due to lack of snow. Met Martin & Graham at Wengen in circa 1988 when Graham took his then girlfriend down the run to Inner Wengen on his back !*

"Steilste" is NOT the name of the run. It just means 'steepest'.

when I was there the slope was very bumpy
i dont get the 75% bit. ive skied what i thought was 50% and its steep. basically jump turn steep. i know video doesnt show the slope steeps well, but 75%. i thought that was strictly Alaska stuff for EXTREME skiers! no? is this run really 75% steep?
75% is NOT 75 degrees. (It's about 37 degrees, according to my calculator.)
I was staying in Wengen and went to ski from the Piz Gloria ..... that wanted something like Eurps 90 just to go up on the cable car. Ridiculous ...... I am not cheap but just refused on principle.
The funny thing is that a day-pass for skiing the area costs much less, but of course you have to be a rather good skier to descend Piz Gloria....

in the "good old days " the first 300m had moguls like Volkswagon beetles ! and it is way steeper than it looks on film, but on a day like this its a nice run rather than the bone breaker it used to be :D
I did it often as a beginner. It taught me my lessons the hard way. It’s beautiful, but I can think of plenty of more challenging blacks.
It is easy. The first 100-300m meters are steep and narrow, the rest is boring flat.
I always think mountains all look the same, not greatly scenic.
If you truly look at them for a lon time then you appreciate their size and power. But I agree that from a fast glance it can be a bit boring
