A basilica is a form of church so... There's no difference other than a basilica is simply an important church building designated by the pope because it carries special spiritual, historical, and/or architectural significance.
@@shawnsg Haha, I get your point but I simply meant that there's no fundamental difference. An apple is still an apple whether it's a Granny Smith or Braeburn. The lady insisting that it's a basilica, not a church is like saying it's a Granny Smith, not an apple. It's still an apple or in this case a church at the end of the day, just a different type of church. So technically, the "difference" lies in the type of place/object, not the place/object itself. Or take us humans for example... A member of the human species remains human, regardless of the race of said human! I'd better stop here, I'm sure you by now get my point... :)
Exactly, being pedantic often comes across as obnoxious but to be pedantic and wrong at the same time during a performance takes it to a whole new level.

I know all about the singing thing. I've sung in enough church choirs to relate to that, but at least old hymns usually follow the same format throughout the entire hymn so by the time you reach verse 3 you've just about got the hang of things even if you've never sung it before. Modern "worship songs" are worse because they go off at all sorts of weird chords and key changes in several places. The "worship group" starts playing something and you think you know where it's going then suddenly it changes key, tune, tempo and just about everything else for no apparent reason and you're floundering around trying to work out how to keep up with it all, especially if it's one where every verse is different each time - if it has verses at all!
2:47 It’s worth noting that Danny himself is half Indian (via his Dad). I guess the American equivalent would be to call him _Indian American,_ but in Scotland we’d typically refer to him as...well, as _Scottish._ Or, more accurately, as _Sco’ish._
Yes. Although I do wonder when the last time Danny set foot inside a church was? Modern churches have padded seats instead of wooden pews. The lyrics of contemporary worship songs are different in context to the hymns Danny mentioned.
In Turkey we have this "Allah Allah" when surprised, fed up, sometimes when overjoyed...depending on the intonation.
