Thank you for reacting to this first song by Yuju. Most reactions just take the song at face value and assume it is a love song without seeing the hidden real meaning. A nice addition to this reaction would be to have include her intro to the song on the album called Bad Blood which is much more explicit in expressing her anger and sadness at what happened to GFriend and saying that revenge is sweet. I am looking forward to seeing your future reactions to GFriend members that you are planning to do. Maybe you can react to Yuju training to be an idol before GFriend debuted. She had only just turned 17 and the company was so amazed at her training video they released two videos of her performing Stand Up for Love and Mermaid. Her raw talent is there for all to see.

I had the same reaction when I first saw Yuju's "Play". The shadow of Gfriend's departure from Source Music cast long and dark when Yuju made her debut. It's only logical to wonder about the connection. However the business arrangement changes, the beauty of Yuju's voice remains for all of us.

Yuju is not only an amazing singer but also a brilliant songwriter. Most of her songs are written by herself
Honestly solo work was probably best choice for her after the forceful disbandment.
