Aaron these debates you had with Trey fisher answered so many of my questions. I hope you realize you’re reaching so many people in the audience who are seeking to know the truth. I wish you would do more debates brother. After watching your debates with Trey I started going to the church of Christ near my house amd watching videos from Don and BJ. Kevin, those that were close to Johnny say that he’s having an addiction problem and switched sides on the Marxism doctrine. Johnny wouldn’t even talk to me about these issues and Caleb blocked me. But Kerry and Micah have revealed some disturbing news of Johnny and Caleb. I no longer trust either of them to be honest.
I think one reason why Trey gets so much incorrect about the church of Christ, even though he claims to have been a member, is that the congregation he was a member of is quite unfaithful. It's my understanding that he came out of the congregation run by the Robertsons of Duck Dynasty fame. So, either that church has fallen away further than we thought, or he wasn't a member for very long.
Perhaps the reason why the first debate had far more viewers than the subsequent debates is because Trey insisted on being heard even to the point of cutting off Aaron. Trey did not come across to me or many others viewers as a kind hearted man. He was more mean spirited than kind.
Correct. The ESV is wrong here. εἰς ὄνομα προφήτου In -- the name of -- the prophet That's the literal translation as the KJV has. The ESV is a Calvinist Bible. Would not recommend.
@@RandyBrowning-x4j He believed in Millenialism, Baptist baptism was a good baptism, Christians in all the sects, Was not baptzed for the remission of sins, continued to preach in the baptist church until he was 70 years old. The list goes on and on.
Honestly, Jeremiah's disposition, as you stated, would really be the only difference in debating him and Trey. Both are the same otherwise. They're both dishonest and twist everything that's said, whether it be what their opponents say or worse, what the Bible says.
@@JSBrown303 tbh you’re right in the sense that his disposition would be the only difference. It might be better to see him debate a non-Calvinist Baptist. I think the false Calvinist doctrine is a lot of where Trey got backed into a corner.
Here is a list of scriptures from Acts forward where BROTHER is used. NONE of them should be applied to Jewish brothers. *Act 9:17 And Ananias went his way, and entered into the house; and putting his hands on him said, BROTHER Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mightest receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost. Act 21:20 And when they heard it, they glorified the Lord, and said unto him, Thou seest, brother (Paul), how many thousands of Jews there are which believe; and they are all zealous of the law: Act 22:13 Came unto me, and stood, and said unto me, Brother Saul, receive thy sight. And the same hour I looked up upon him. Rom 14:10 But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. Rom 14:13 Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother's way. Rom 14:15 But if thy brother be grieved with thy meat, now walkest thou not charitably. Destroy not him with thy meat, for whom Christ died. Rom 14:21 It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor any thing whereby thy brother stumbleth, or is offended, or is made weak. Rom 16:23 Gaius mine host, and of the whole church, saluteth you. Erastus the chamberlain of the city saluteth you, and Quartus a brother. 1Co 1:1 Paul, called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and Sosthenes our brother, 1Co 5:11 But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat. 1Co 6:6 But brother goeth to law with brother, and that before the unbelievers. 1Co 7:12 But to the rest speak I, not the Lord: If any brother hath a wife that believeth not, and she be pleased to dwell with him, let him not put her away. 1Co 7:15 But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases: but God hath called us to peace. 1Co 8:11 And through thy knowledge shall the weak brother perish, for whom Christ died? 1Co 8:13 Wherefore, if meat make my brother to offend, I will eat no flesh while the world standeth, lest I make my brother to offend. 1Co 16:12 As touching our brother Apollos, I greatly desired him to come unto you with the brethren: but his will was not at all to come at this time; but he will come when he shall have convenient time. 2Co 1:1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timothy our brother, unto the church of God which is at Corinth, with all the saints which are in all Achaia: 2Co 2:13 I had no rest in my spirit, because I found not Titus my brother: but taking my leave of them, I went from thence into Macedonia. 2Co 8:18 And we have sent with him the brother, whose praise is in the gospel throughout all the churches; 2Co 8:22 And we have sent with them our brother, whom we have oftentimes proved diligent in many things, but now much more diligent, upon the great confidence which I have in you. 2Co 12:18 I desired Titus, and with him I sent a brother. Did Titus make a gain of you? walked we not in the same spirit? walked we not in the same steps? Eph 6:21 But that ye also may know my affairs, and how I do, Tychicus, a beloved brother and faithful minister in the Lord, shall make known to you all things: Php 2:25 Yet I supposed it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother, and companion in labour, and fellowsoldier, but your messenger, and he that ministered to my wants. Col 1:1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timotheus our brother, Col 4:7 All my state shall Tychicus declare unto you, who is a beloved brother, and a faithful minister and fellowservant in the Lord: Col 4:9 With Onesimus, a faithful and beloved brother, who is one of you. They shall make known unto you all things which are done here. 1Th 3:2 And sent Timotheus, our brother, and minister of God, and our fellowlabourer in the gospel of Christ, to establish you, and to comfort you concerning your faith: 1Th 4:6 That no man go beyond and defraud his brother in any matter: because that the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also have forewarned you and testified. 2Th 3:6 Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us. 2Th 3:15 Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother. Heb 8:11 And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest. Heb 13:23 Know ye that our brother Timothy is set at liberty; with whom, if he come shortly, I will see you. Jas 1:9 Let the brother of low degree rejoice in that he is exalted: Jas 2:15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, Jas 4:11 Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of his brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law: but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge. 1Pe 5:12 By Silvanus, a faithful brother unto you, as I suppose, I have written briefly, exhorting, and testifying that this is the true grace of God wherein ye stand. 2Pe 3:15 And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you; 1Jn 2:9 He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now. 1Jn 2:10 He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him. 1Jn 2:11 But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes. 1Jn 3:10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother. 1Jn 3:14 We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death. 1Jn 3:15 Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him. 1Jn 3:17 But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him? 1Jn 4:20 If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? 1Jn 4:21 And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also. 1Jn 5:16 If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it. Rev 1:9 I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.
We won’t need debates anymore because my preacher said Jesus will return on January 26, 2025 so people will see for themselves that God and Jesus exist. The only worthwhile and reasonable thing to do until then is repent and pray as much as possible. That’s what I do and it will keep sinners from being sent to hell.
Jhn 12:42 Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue: Y'all might not be aware of this because it's in John and not Acts but this was before the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus. Now if not confessing means you're not saved then all the disciples were unsaved. Peter not only didn't confess but he DENIED Jesus! Jhn 18:15 And Simon Peter followed Jesus, and so did another disciple: that disciple was known unto the high priest, and went in with Jesus into the palace of the high priest. Jhn 18:16 But Peter stood at the door without. Then went out that other disciple, which was known unto the high priest, and spake unto her that kept the door, and brought in Peter. Jhn 18:17 Then SAITH THE DAMSEL THAT KEPT THE DOOR UNTO PETER, ART NOT THOU ALSO ONE OF THIS MAN'S DISCIPLES? HE SAITH, I AM NOT. Jhn 18:18 And the servants and officers stood there, who had made a fire of coals; for it was cold: and they warmed themselves: and Peter stood with them, and warmed himself. Mat 26:56 But all this was done, that the scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled. Then ALL THE DISCIPLES FORSOOK HIM, AND FLED. How easy it is for y'all to make a judgement on someone's salvation when you have NO IDEA what you'd have done!! Aren't you the Holy ones sitting in a nice safe studio in the United States CASTING STONES at people that actually had to make life and death decisions, especially before the death, burial and resurrection. You really know NOTHING about their eternal destiny. Joh 19:38 And after this Joseph of Arimathaea, BEING A DISCIPLE OF JESUS, BUT SECRETLY FOR FEAR OF THE JEWS, BESOUGHT PILATE THAT HE MIGHT TAKE AWAY THE BODY OF JESUS: AND PILATE GAVE HIM LEAVE. He came therefore, and took the body of Jesus. Joh 19:39 And there came also Nicodemus, which at the first came to Jesus by night, and brought a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about an hundred pound weight. Joh 3:1 There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a RULER OF THE JEWS: Act 6:7 And the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and A GREAT COMPANY OF THE PRIESTS WERE OBEDIENT TO THE FAITH.
1Cor 6:11 And such were some of you but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of God. it's pretty clear that all this happens at the same time when you are baptized IN TO Christ!
Preach on!! I agree with you 100% and this verse proves it: 1Co 12:13 For BY ONE SPIRIT ARE WE ALL BAPTIZED INTO ONE BODY, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
I'm not in the best of health, I'm to have test performed to see if I have dementia. so it's very difficult to comprehend things. just the way it is. The concept of around 40:30 mark about the person going to prison for or because, that's true to me either way, but Acts 2:38 is not sentencing, but pardoning, is he pardoned because time served or for time served, is remission of sins before repentance. I wish I could explain it
Hey it is a moot point!!! Baptism WAS required by the Great Commission, by Christ, for the nation of Israel. The completed actions in Acts 2 were entirely in agreement with the Great Commission, why the issue??? The issue is those actions are not for today, today we are saved by grace alone by faith alone, baptism is a work: "And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work."
@RandyBrowning-x4j am I understand ing you it's not for today ,the great commission was for Isreal only, if so where does that come from, sir help me understand, Jesus said to go into all the world, it was offered the Jews, Gentiles were grafted in. If baptism is no longer in effect then taking the gospel to the Jews would no longer be in effect, judging by the great commission. Did you ever see a newly baptized person say I've done all things things, I've kept the law, I deserve salvation, not me I don't list baptism a work, not like the Jews viewed works. Thank you for communicating with me
@@RandyBrowning-x4j also Jesus said what that great commission was for, it was to save people not just jews, that's why he said go into ALL the world. Thanks for listening ,brother
@@JamesTobey-z9v First off the following applies: A. Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. Comments: The following apply: a. There are reasons the CoC doctrine and gospel is as it exists. They appear to take all scripture as a whole, for the basis of their doctrine, and then seem to choose what scripture to believe or not. They do not appear to rightly divide, thus when one mixes and matches verses of the Pauline Epistles with verses of other books of the Bible, and then, slices and dices each word of the verses with a reference book, such as a Lexicon, you will not arrive at the truth. Case in point is the OT gospel they preach and their baptism requirement. b. Righty dividing entails one to use the Bible properly to determine who, what, when, why, and how scripture is applicable. Every word, every verse, every chapter, and every book does not apply to every human who ever lived. There are dispensations and differing groups of people to consider and take into account. There are Jews and Gentiles, Old / New Testaments, different kingdoms, different churches, and different gospels. Though Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John are listed as NT Books, many such as myself, consider them to be OT. Therefore when one uses prophetic judgement scripture pertaining to the end times, and applies it to the current dispensation, that is an improper use of the bible. Using the correct gospel would almost solve the baptism problem, except among those who cling to the false belief baptism is necessary for salvation. John the Baptist said that he baptized with water, but Christ would baptize with the Holy Spirit. A person saved by faith alone receives the Holy Spirit upon faith in the gospel and is thus sealed until the day of redemption, no baptism is necessary. I am pretty sure you most likely believe none of this, so if you would like to post me All your views regarding the baptism process, we can discuss that topic. In addition to the above facts, there are a couple of other things interesting about the Great Commission. First healing was a very big part of the commission since Israel was intended to be a nation of priests and had to be perfect specimens to serve God. The second is the signs that were required to accompany the baptism also went away. Thus, two thirds of the Great Commission went away, and we are left with baptism?????
@@JamesTobey-z9v the Great Commission was to make disciples just like John the Baptist and Jesus and his disciples did before Pentecost. You can search the whole NT and you wont find one verse changing the purpose of baptism. The disciples were not told to tarry in Jerusalem because water Baptism was then going to be necessary for salvation. They were told to take tarry because of the baptism of the Holy Spirit. You know, the baptism you refuse to recognize.
Acts is where we see people who were being saved real time. Acts is where you find how to become a Christian. Gospels are why you should be a Christian, and everything else is written to Christians on how to behave as a Christian. You aren't going to find out how to be a Christian in a letter written to a group of Christians. No point in telling people who are already Christians how to become Christians.
@@ryanjones2297 Ryan, if you would study a bit more, you would possibly see that Paul had to preach to them the rest of the gospel of Christ before they were saved. They had only received the kingdom gospel (that preached by the CoC) thus they had not the Holy Spirit and were not saved. Same as today. You believe the gospel of Christ by faith only, you have Holy Spirit!! You include baptism, you have no Holy Spirit. You no believe my reply, you no believe Word of God. IT IS THAT EASY!!
@RandyBrowning-x4j no, they had received John the baptizers teaching. Water baptism is what is required to be a Christian. Holy spirit baptism was a promise to the apostles, and not something that we can have today
Do you guys obey Acts Chapter 2, verse 38 when you Baptize? Peter said to baptize in "the name of Jesus Christ" in verse 38. Or do you use the Titles, Father, Son, and Holy Ghost? Thanks
@@martinthomas5774 Hello, friend. In Matthew 28:19-20, Jesus states, "Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age." This gives direct Scriptural basis for the phraseology of "Father, Son, Holy Spirit". This is consistent with what Peter teaches in Acts 2:38, as Jesus is the Son. Jesus himself identifies with this title throughout his earthly ministry. They are equivalent titles (names), and this is likely a great example of synecdoche, which appears often in Scripture. The key point in both texts is the authority behind the soterial action, which is God, and identifying that authority. Great question. God Bless.
Mrk 16:20 And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and CONFIRMING THE WORD WITH SIGNS FOLLOWING. Amen. Mat 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have CAST OUT DEVILS? AND IN THY NAME DONE MANY WONDERFUL WORKS? Mat 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. "That is proof that God is with them so you can trust what they say" Did you ever read about the gifts of the SPIRIT?? They're even talked about in the only book y'all read - ACTS So all who did signs were inspired?? The writers of the NT were inspired so what they wrote was accurate but words they wrote from others were not inspired. Was the eunuch inspired? Act 8:36 And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, SEE, HERE IS WATER; WHAT DOTH HINDER ME TO BE BAPTIZED? Was the Philippian jailor inspired? Act 16:30 And brought them out, and said, SIRS, WHAT MUST I DO TO BE SAVED? (sorry about using this verse) Was Pilate inspired? Luk 23:3 And Pilate asked him, saying, ART THOU THE KING OF THE JEWS? And he answered him and said, Thou sayest it. I could go on but I think you get the point.
The church of Christ started in 1827 with the Walter Scott plan of salvation. NO one in the history of the church were told to Hear Believe Repent Baptism Receive Gift of HS. Name one person in the New Testament that was told to obey this plan. Name one.
He was a fellow Jew. The Greek word can mean several things...In that context, it means fellow Israelite... We know that it was salvation, because Jesus told Saul to go to that house to be "told what you must do." What Annanias told Saul was the "must do" that Jesus told him. "wash away your sins calling on the name of the Lord." That's salvation and made Saul a brother in Christ and not just a brother from a Tribe in Israel.
Randy Browning Paul was saved on the road to Damascus, before he ever reached town. Paul was a blasphemer and could not be saved by the kingdom gospel. He was saved like the thief on the cross, in the presence of Jesus the Christ. Ananias laid his hands on Paul, thus restoring his sight and providing him the Holy Spirit much like the encounter Paul had in Acts 19. Paul was then baptized per Mark 16 and Paul had to be baptized to minister, due to his reputation preceding him. Paul's salvation provided the first member to the Church, Body of Christ, the current church started upon his salvation, the current gospel was also given to Paul, by Christ, the mystery gospel, a faith alone, by Christ alone gospel.
@RandyBrowning-x4j I take up real issue with that statement. The Bible says (through the inspiration of PAULS pen), "I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ, for IT is the power of God unto Salvation, for EVERYONE that believes, to the jew first and also to the Greek" (Romans 1:16). Paul obeyed the Gospel which saved him just like everyone else has to. Paul wasn't saved on the road to Damascus. On the road, the Lord told him, "go into the city to the street called straight to the house one named Judas and it will be told you what you must do" (Acts 9). Annanias shows up and Saul is blind, hasn't eaten in three days, and is praying. He's absolutely miserable...amd you think he's saved? Annanias to him to quit praying (why tariest thou) "Arise and be baptized and WASH AWAY THY SINS" I submit you aren't saved if your sins aren't washed away... and it was at the house that Saul was told he still needed to WASH AWAY HIS SINS (Acts 22:16). The thief on the cross lived under the Law of Moses (Hebrews 9:15-17). But Mark 1:4-5 does hint to the fact that the "penitent thief" was baptized and was possibly a disciple of John. He knew more about Jesus and the Kingdom than Jesus disciples did. And Jesus had power on earth to forgive sins (Matt.9:6). Salvation is common (Jude 3). So we're all (this side of the cross) saved the same way, but obeying the same Gospel, which is God's power to save.
@@robbyeversole7682 Thank you much!! So, you do admit that one in the Presence of Jesus cannot be saved, because one has to be baptized?!?! Because Christ has no saving power?!!? Faith in Christ, plus ANYTHING else is a WORKS salvation. One cannot be saved by a works salvation; thus one is not saved by the kingdom gospel, a works gospel!! No Paul was saved on the road, was the first member of the new church, and is the effect by which one is saved today!! Your answer is the typical CoC rhetoric and it's just not true; not true concerning baptism; not true concerning the rest of the CoC doctrine!!
@WrittenOnTheHeart Was the same "miracle" as those spoken by Deity to mankind!! Ananias was inspired, he was sealed by the Holy Spirit, given to Paul by the laying on of hands.
@WrittenOnTheHeartwhy on earth would you think Ananias was inspired??? That's nonsense. Healing was A GIFT. THE WRITERS of the New Testament were inspired but not everyone that spoke in the NT was inspired. That's crazy. Do you think the Philippian jailor was inspired - Act 16:30 And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? - or do you think the eunuch was inspired - Act 8:36 And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized?
The Bible says "let everyone of you 'be' baptized (immersed) in the name....Acts 2:38. "Make disciples baptizing (immersing) 'them' in the name of " Matthew 28:19 "In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit" and "In the name of Jesus Christ for". These words of chant or incantation as some suppose, are invoked or are commanded before one is to be baptized or immersed that are to be reasoned or should be understood before the individual sinner is to be or submit themselves to the act of being laid under and taken up out of the water. The two phrases that begin with the words "In the name of..." We're edited later for clarification.
JuanLopez It's just a ceremony; an outward expression by the outer man: . The heresy of the application is deeply ingrained within many denominations in the world today. There is no denying that the literal reading of scripture concerning the Great Commission appears to require baptism for the nation of Israel, but the application of applying baptism in order that a person must be saved, by baptism, is not believable. It is not believable for the reasons already cited within, nor is it believable based upon the nature of God. He would have all to be saved. He has been silent for almost two thousand years, while mankind has been wicked upon this earth and blasphemed His name into the heavens. He subjected His Holy Son, who knew no sin, to the utmost egregious abuse imaginable, and had Him crucified upon a cross, for a human being who could not be saved, because he could not be baptised?!!!! I do not believe that, do you??
@@RandyBrowning-x4j The Lord Jesus said,"Go". "Go" and do what? Preach, proclaim and announce. What? "The Gospel" not just any "gospel" and not just to the people of Israel but to all nations as well according to "The Christ" Mark 16:15. But which GOSPEL? The gospel that is the power of God to save eveyone. But not just anyone? But everyone who "believes" that is has faith but has faith in what? The proclamation of the "good news" and after hearing it is obedient that is to the command to be immersed (baptized) "for the removal of their sins" will be saved but anyone who is not obedient to the gospel of Christ and to the command to have their sins removed will be condemned. Mark 16:16 according to Scripture. It is more than just an "outward appearance" of an individual exhibiting an outward show of what baptism looks like but rather it has great significance. It has great significance to The Lord of heaven and it should to the one being immersed.
"Justin Martyr - for remission of sins" y'all constantly say the Church Fathers agree with your position on Baptism but you fail to mention how these men had radical positions that maybe the Roman Catholic Church agrees with, for instance - Justin Martyr - "We call this food Eucharist, and no one else is permitted to partake of it, except one who believes our teaching to be true and who has been washed in the washing which is for the remission of sins and for regeneration [i.e., has received baptism] and is thereby living as Christ enjoined. For not as common bread nor common drink do we receive these; but since Jesus Christ our Savior was made incarnate by the word of God and had both flesh and blood for our salvation, so too, as we have been taught, the food which has been made into the Eucharist by the Eucharistic prayer set down by him, and by the change of which our blood and flesh is nurtured, is both the flesh and the blood of that incarnated Jesus" (First Apology 66 [A.D. 151]).
I know of only one gospel, the gospel, that was preached throughout the New Testament. Galatians 1:6-9 (KJV) 6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: 7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. 8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
I can't find one time in the NT (Acts forward) where just the word "brother" (singular) is used other than to describe a Christian or perhaps could be taken to mean a fellow human. Any time a name is attached to brother (Brother Paul,Brother Saul, Sosthenes our brother etc they're is no doubt is referring to a Christian brother. You use men and brethren as an example where it refers to countryman and you are 100% correct and it's also 100% obvious that he's referring to fellow Jews. Shame on y'all!! You say"how do we know well because he's still in his sins" circular reasoning - he's still in his sins so brother has to be Jewish brother - how do we know it's Jewish brother well because he's still in his sins. Typical CoC NONSENSE
Donny does well to teach the Bible in its intended truth. Yet why does he need to state he’s the “executive director”. Whoop de do, so what? He doesn’t seem the type for self important titles.
Ananias not inspired? This is heretical. Ananias received a message from Jesus to tell Paul what he must do to be saved. Acts 22: 12“Now a certain Ananias, a man who was devout by the standard of the Law and well spoken of by all the Jews who lived there, 13came to me, and standing nearby he said to me, ‘Brother Saul, receive your sight!’ And [i]at that very moment I looked up at him. 14And he said, ‘The God of our fathers has appointed you to know His will and to see the Righteous One and to hear a [j]message from His mouth. 15For you will be a witness for Him to all people of what you have seen and heard. 16Now why do you delay? Get up and be baptized, and wash away your sins by calling on His name.’ Ananias was inspired. There is no doubt about that. Also, what Ananias told Paul was true, and he was not mistaken.

❤ we love you brothers, Tassie from South Africa
Truly the work of our Lord Jesus Christ you are doing, is really touching so many hearts.
Hey I'm also watching all the way from Namibia Windhoek ❤
Those bacon and egg socks 😂😂😂
Great job GBN on calling out error. Please Help Brother Johnny Robertson out there spreading the truth also
Kevin, those that were close to Johnny say that he’s having an addiction problem and switched sides on the Marxism doctrine.
Johnny wouldn’t even talk to me about these issues and Caleb blocked me. But Kerry and Micah have revealed some disturbing news of Johnny and Caleb.
I no longer trust either of them to be honest.
These kinds of videos really help teach people who are searching for truth get a chance to examine both sides with the scriptures! Thanks 🙏
Great discussion y'all have given me more strength and energy in my own discussion with others May God continue to bless your work
I think one reason why Trey gets so much incorrect about the church of Christ, even though he claims to have been a member, is that the congregation he was a member of is quite unfaithful.
I would love to see a Gallagher/White debate and not let White get away by derailing a debate.
As a Christian, theres ALWAYS room for growth!!!
Appreciate the segment
Calvinists tend to continualy contradicts themselves.
They also tend to spend more time quoting each other then the Bible.
I can't deal with the debates. I don't like arguments. I appreciate people who can. It is necessary and Aaron and Kyle Butt are fantastic at it.
I would like to see a debate with John macarthur
That’s a great study guys.
In the ESV in Mt 10:41 was “eis”translated incorrectly to have an example of “eis”meaning “because”.
Correct. The ESV is wrong here.

In -- the name of -- the prophet
That's the literal translation as the KJV has. The ESV is a Calvinist Bible. Would not recommend.
If Alexander Campbell were alive today he would not be allowed to preach in the COC.
Why??
@@RandyBrowning-x4j He believed in Millenialism, Baptist baptism was a good baptism, Christians in all the sects, Was not baptzed for the remission of sins, continued to preach in the baptist church until he was 70 years old. The list goes on and on.
They also used real wine on the Lords Table.
Too short. Part 2 please? This is profitable
I’d love to see Aaron debate Jeremiah Nortier, I think he’s a lot more gracious in debates and less argumentative.
Act 21:20 And when they heard it, they glorified the Lord, and said unto him, Thou seest, brother (Paul), how many thousands of Jews there are which believe; and they are all zealous of the law:
Act 22:13 Came unto me, and stood, and said unto me, Brother Saul, receive thy sight. And the same hour I looked up upon him.

We won’t need debates anymore because my preacher said Jesus will return on January 26, 2025 so people will see for themselves that God and Jesus exist. Jhn 12:42 Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue:
Y'all might not be aware of this because it's in John and not Acts but this was before the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus.
Joh 3:1 There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a RULER OF THE JEWS:
Act 6:7 And the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and A GREAT COMPANY OF THE PRIESTS WERE OBEDIENT TO THE FAITH.
Comments: The following apply:
For me Romans has told us how we are savebut Acts gives us example of how that grace and faith were put to use
@@ryanjones2297 Hey Ryan that is true!!! Read all of Acts 19 a few times, whereby Paul tells them the gospel of Christ!!
@RandyBrowning-x4j that's true. First few verses you have people being baptized a second time because their first time was no longer valid
Thanks
In the name = in the power of
Both are saying the same thing
@@Sero.Cross.C.O.C There is NO POWER (Authority) without SAYING the NAME (Acts 4:12).
God Bless.

Mat 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
"That is proof that God is with them so you can trust what they say"
Did you ever read about the gifts of the SPIRIT?? They're even talked about in the only book y'all read - ACTS
So all who did signs were inspired?? The writers of the NT were inspired so what they wrote was accurate but words they wrote from others were not inspired.
Was the eunuch inspired? Act 8:36 And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, SEE, HERE IS WATER; WHAT DOTH HINDER ME TO BE BAPTIZED?
Was the Philippian jailor inspired? Act 16:30 And brought them out, and said, SIRS, WHAT MUST I DO TO BE SAVED? (sorry about using this verse)
Was Pilate inspired? Luk 23:3 And Pilate asked him, saying, ART THOU THE KING OF THE JEWS? And he answered him and said, Thou sayest it.
I could go on but I think you get the point.
The church of Christ started in 1827 with the Walter Scott plan of salvation. NO one in the history of the church were told to Hear Believe Repent Baptism Receive Gift of HS. Name one person in the New Testament that was told to obey this plan. Name one.
Confession was added later.
So when Paul says that Ananias said brother Paul receive your sight, why did Ananias call Paul a brother if he was not yet saved?
He was a fellow Jew.
The Greek word can mean several things...In that context, it means fellow Israelite...
We know that it was salvation, because Jesus told Saul to go to that house to be "told what you must do."
What Annanias told Saul was the "must do" that Jesus told him.
@RandyBrowning-x4j
I take up real issue with that statement.
Annanias to him to quit praying (why tariest thou) "Arise and be baptized and WASH AWAY THY SINS"
I submit you aren't saved if your sins aren't washed away... and it was at the house that Saul was told he still needed to WASH AWAY HIS SINS (Acts 22:16).
@@RandyBrowning-x4j this is totally incorrect!
Just because someone does miracles doesn’t mean they are inspired - see Matthew 7:21-23

"Make disciples baptizing (immersing) 'them' in the name of " Matthew 28:19
"In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit" and "In the name of Jesus Christ for".
@@RandyBrowning-x4j
The Lord Jesus said,"Go".
Galatians 1:6-9 (KJV)
6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: 7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.
Get up and be baptized, and wash away your sins by calling on His name.’
Ananias was inspired. There is no doubt about that. Also, what Ananias told Paul was true, and he was not mistaken.
Even Satan believes. But Satan never called on the name of the Lord. Just believing does not save.
That is true, but faith ON Christ alone fetches one an eternity with the Savior.
@@RandyBrowning-x4jthen I guess, by what you said, Satan is saved!?
