I have admired, no make that love and adored Todd since 1974, I have seen Todd perform in the neighborhood of 50 times, he has never disappointed. I had the pleasure of performing Range war for Todd in San Juan Capistrano after his show at the Coach House and let me just say I wasn't great but I know I was appreciated. Thanks Todd for a lifetime of love and memories ❤️
I keep coming back to this version of "Compassion." It's so simple, with just heartfelt voice and piano, sung in front of students and very few in the audience. Beautiful, and my favorite performance (for now). Thanks, Clayton139.
sometime in the 80's,I met Todd at a cheap trick concert.very small club in Poughkeepsie,ny.he played the encore.day tripper w/ them,and I swindled myself into a small room w/ me,todd, rick neilson,and 1 other person.i was feeling no pain and it was too funny.i was talking todd's ear off..i did most of the talking.haha.but he was cool,and rick was laughing..i asked todd if the healing lp had anything to do w/ John Lennons death(I knew he was a fan,as am I)and he said no...I remember he was chking out the peanut m&m's...ha...a night i'll never forget..
Siblings are Alumni, and my Thanks to YOU..for posting this..I have been a Todd fan since he was" billed" Lol, the Tubes,.. so...Utopia was my in to into this Mr. Rundgren's" artistry".. All the best, and Thank you mucho
I saw another clip of Todd Rundgren performing this song on piano, but in F major (Todd Rundgren documentary 2/4- Old Grey Whistle Test). Wish I could find another video of him doing that, uninterrupted by interviews.
