    So looking forward to your Q9 video. Recently saw the 2018 Q8 side by side with a 2017 Q9 at Best Buy and there was no comparison. And the Q9 is pretty awesome. Can only imagine what your 2018 Q9 will look like.

    Hi bought this today but I’m struggling to connect it to WiFi via IPhone. It is not even listed in the app, doesn’t give me an opportunity to test it:(

      Thank you so much for watching my video I appreciate you subscribing. Sorry to hear that you're having issues it sounds like your phone is not connected to your 2.4 gigahertz Wi-Fi network this is crucial. Once this is done make sure to put the device in AP mode then open up your SmartThings app and manually search for device and click the vacuum I caught this shouldn't immediately link it up together let me know where you're at in the process I will help you get this connected😊

    • @yasmin878
      @yasmin878 6 лет назад

      Jb TechFanatic it is connected however when opening the app the only supported devices are a washer, ac and tv which I don’t own. It’s a pity that such devices can’t be connected via wps.

    • @JbTechFanatic

      I see I think that you are using the wrong app the Samsung Smart Home app no longer works. They are converting everything over to the Samsung SmartThings app. Download the app from the Play Store then open it. Make sure your phone is on your 2.4 gigahertz Wi-Fi in your Bluetooth is on. Then go to add item if it still doesn't pop-up you can manually press manually search and press vacuum. Go to 11:20 in the video and try step by Step. Don't forget to press and hold the recharge button or clock button depending on model. Press on the vacuum remote until you hear it beep. After following the video step-by-step at this point let me know if you get it connected it really should be pretty easy. I totally agree with you that WPS should work😉

      Jb TechFanatic hey thanks for getting back to me. Will try again however, if this thing was made by Apple it would surely work in an instant ;)

    • @JbTechFanatic
      @JbTechFanatic  6 лет назад

      Lol same could be said for Samsung. They make brand ecosystems work really well together on purpose. If you have a Samsung phone that connects so quickly to Samsung SmartThings. because it's already built in your home all runs off of their ecosystem. this is great if you like Samsung and have all Samsung things. however I feel sometimes the customer can lose in this case. because not Everyone likes all Samsung stuff not everyone has a Samsung phone etc etc. I feel like they should make it easy for anyone especially when it comes to Home appliances. Not to mention these two companies hate each other very deeply LOL.

    Can u please tell how the powerbot is doing after a while? Because i did my research everyone say it have an issue especially in navigation after a while. I plan to get for my mom to help her since she’s getting old. I really need your honest personnel opinion, thank you 🙏

    • @JbTechFanatic

      Thank you so much for watching and supporting my channel by being a subscriber. I of course would love to help you out. And no need to worry 100% honesty here. Since purchasing this vacuum my family has used it non-stop it's on the auto run function so it runs out of battery goes back to the doc and goes back out. I would still highly recommend this vacuum as of today. The navigation on the Samsung powerbot is the best I've seen not only does it get everywhere. but it finds its way back home every time to it's charging dock and this is a feature I have yet to see work on any other model consistently that I have tested. There is two things you need to keep in mind. one you have to clean out the vacuum this is actually kind of annoying you find yourself using one vacuum to clean out another the reason why I bring this up is so often it's easy to forget that this might have ran six times and it's completely full. the next thing is it has developed a little bit of noise to the brush on hard floors. no matter what I do to try to get rid of it it comes back. Its pretty silent on carpet however. This is definitely quite a feature pack machine on the tech end of everything. if you're buying this for your mom make sure that she has a decent Wi-Fi connection so that she can utilize some of the fun features and notifications that come along with this vacuum. If I was to give you a physical score today I would give an 8 out of 10 deducting one point for needing a bigger canister which you can actually purchase a more expensive model with more canister room by the way. Also deducting another point for the noise. But other than that we really enjoy this vacuum. my wife is extremely fond of it and loves the fact that it constantly is cleaning. I hope this helps let me know if I can help you in any other way. thank you again so much for your support.

      Jb TechFanatic thank you 🙏 so much sir for your good explanation. I search on youtube to find the cons on this samsung powerbot and lots of people upload the video that the robot stuck and sometimes like drunk, surprisingly u said its good and u never had problem with the navigation. My mom a bit slow on gadget but i will teach her the basic, but i like the ideas of mapping and can see where the robot is cleaning. Its like while taking shower i can monitor the progression before family relative come for dinner. Especially for my mom, she’s getting old, want to see she rest and i will be handle the detail cleaning once a week with 2100w vacuum. Anyway i love to see the update video since on previous comment u said u had a bad condition u dont think u have time for this. I hope u will fast recovers and can produce more good and informative video like this. Thank you so much once again for fast response, have a great day. Send my regards to your wife and family. Regards from 🇲🇾 Malaysia

    • @JbTechFanatic
      @JbTechFanatic  6 лет назад +1

      Last point I will add I think some people might have issues with its mapping because they don't have a strong Network or I Network at all for that matter. I definitely believe that this machine needs to be updated through Wi-Fi and I think it utilizes all the information and collects and stores to determine the best routes for your home it also has a camera on it which really helps when it comes to running into things or even the person LOL. I still do plan on doing a follow-up on this vacuum unfortunately still dealing with bad health and trying to get new content out and juggling my doctors hospital Etc.

    Sam song 40 trying to figure out how to get it to go back to the charging station help

    • @JbTechFanatic
      @JbTechFanatic  5 лет назад +1

      To get it to go back to the power station you can hit the charging symbol on the remote or return to the charger on Samsung SmartThings if you're having issues with it returning make sure that it is on a flat wall with about 10 ft of open space on both sides if possible also make sure that the base is plugged in with power and all the connections are plugged in tightly also make sure that the charging pins on the charging dock are clean and don't have any debris under them best thing to do is take it about 4 feet away from the charging dock then manually press the return to charging dock on either the remote or the unit itself to see if it will find its way back let me know if this helps thank you so much for taking the time to watch my video I'm thankful for the support

    quick questions: 1. can I block it to enter certain areas like bathroom? 2. how does it stairs? Thanks.

    • @JbTechFanatic
      @JbTechFanatic  6 лет назад

      Thank you so much for watching. I would be honored if you would consider subscribing if you have not already😊 1. There's no way to necessarily block a room. However you can kick it to manual mode anytime. Then steer it wherever you'd like. It cannot do stairs however it will not go off any ledge. if you have upstairs it will go all the way to the ledge vacuum and then stop. thanks again for your support.

      @JbTechFanatic  6 лет назад +1

      If it's not loud enough Check your RUclips volume bar. Make sure that is turned up also. I recorded the sound with a mic and put the volume to 70 so it should be really loud I've tested it on multiple devices and it comes out loud🤔. Thank you for your kind words about my videos I have a friend interested in buying the iRobot vacuum from Costco lol. Thank you so much for watching in your support.

      @@JbTechFanatic The smartthings app I downloaded from Apple's app store in feb 2019 didn't seem to have a 'Robot vacuum' category in the "Home Appliances" section of 'Add Device manually' and the robot fails to show up in the 'available devices' when letting the app search for one. Are you able to add the vacuum cleaner to Alexa without a samsung or android phone?

    • @JbTechFanatic
      @JbTechFanatic  5 лет назад

      Follow my instructions step by step from the video it will work. Yes alexa will work it controls it through SmartThings. Use only 2.4 ghz wifi when Setup and put the vacuum in AP mode. Make sure that you use the full Samsung SmartThings app not the basic there might be two in the Apple Store once you're there add item press the manual and then smart vacuum or robotic vacuum.

      @@JbTechFanatic Thanks for the tip, I went back to the app store to check if there was a basic app or a full samsung smartThings app. But I only saw SmartThings Classic and another app that says SmartThings (Samsung Connect). Which of the two is the full Samsung SmartThings app?

    Follow up to this video? Where’s the review?

    • @JbTechFanatic
      @JbTechFanatic  6 лет назад +1

      Thank you so much for your support and watching my videos. I am honored that you took your time to watch😊 Unfortunately I never was able to get a full review of the unit out in video form. I did however do a written review that is in the review section on samsung.com. My health is actually very bad and I'm in and out of the hospital pretty often. The only reason why I'm telling you this is because I have to pick and choose what I can do when I have the strength. I did not get much intrest/ views and so it got put on the back burner. I was hoping to grasp a little more interest and then do the follow-up video. I really apologize that I have not done a full review video. hopefully I still can at some point. You should know that this vacuum has far exceeded my expectations. it works extremely well the smart features are virtually flawless and its ability to clean edge-to-edge is actually mind-boggling. It finds itself back to its charging station no matter how complex your room situation is. It still makes its way back. Really the only downside to this product is the fact that the waste compartment needs to be emptied pretty often. But of course this will get bigger as you go up in price/model. I would definitely recommend this product for purchase if you're in the market. I myself have tried several other manufacturers and they did not even compare. If you have any specific questions please reach out to me anytime and I will do my best to help. I will hopefully get a follow-up video out. Thank you again for your support again I apologize!

      Jb TechFanatic thanks for the quick response! Reviews usually get more views. I hope everything turns out well for you. I’ve subscribed. I’m new to the SmartThings world (got the fridge) so curious to see which ones are worth it or not. Good luck!

    • @JbTechFanatic
      @JbTechFanatic  6 лет назад

      I'm honored to have you as a subscriber. Thank you for bearing with me as I go through my growing stages. Just so you know also most of the videos I do are not done in one day. In some cases it might be weeks. I do this purposely because I want to know whether or not I can recommend the product. I also add facts and comments through text in my videos. This is done during the editing process and some of that content comes from what I've experienced from using the products. I try to pack in every bit of information I can using text and myself . That way what is really left is if the product holds up after 6 months or so that sort of thing. As far as my Samsung Smart fridge or even the vacuum these are products that time is the only way to tell if they stay good. But as of today both the fridge and the vacuum I give them must buy ratings.🤩 I am working on new formats for my channel still learning and hopefully getting better and better. I basically just really started doing this in August or September of last year. I really did not know where it would go. So what I would really like to start doing is shorter videos on each product that I review on my Channel or talk about with my final thoughts as to how it performs at a later time or something along that line. Samsung SmartThings is a great ecosystem another one that I highly recommend and it's compatible with lots of products and it works all the time like it's supposed to😉 thank you again for your support be on the lookout for more exciting content😊

      If my positive message depressed you im truly sorry. It is meant to remind you to live life to its fullest. A reminder to love your loved ones and life is a beautiful thing. I have a very severe illness that is very difficult on me. i have done a few videos on my channel talking about it. It changed my life overnight. My goal as a channel is tech and inspiration to live every day to the fullest. Its just a small reminder to never take anyone or anything for granted. So to answer your question. what does this have to do with a Review? absolutely nothing just a positive message to love each other and love life.
