I swear, these guys are the new Rush! Given the similarities in the music and the majority of the fanbase, I think Animals As Leaders would be great doing shows with Rush.
14" x 6.5" Pearl Reference Brass Snare. One of the most punchy, responsive, and beautiful sounding snares I've ever played/heard.
Who would dislike this...They are obviously jealous of his amazing talent :P

Guys, I just want to point out that not only was his technique fucking beautiful but the look he gives the camera right as the video starts fading just proves it. It follows as:

*Pupils dialated like a deer in the headlights
His thoughts followed:

There are mics on the toms. They're pretty easy to see, the 16" tom mic is directly under my right crash. The 14" is in the same spot on the opposite side, but it's a bit covered in view by the stack.

I play complex music but it's guitar, if it's anything the same on the drums it's so much fun playing more complex then simple! It's such a challenge and makes you actually work for it!

Nice! I love the multiple right-hand strokes on the snare. And the kit also sounds VERY nice...cymbals and drums both. Interesting how some of the riffing sounds very much like RUSH. Not normally to my liking, but I do like this.

Hey man, thanks a lot. And yes, each number represents something in my setup. I'll run through what's what in this transcription really quick. 49=Left Crash 57=Right Crash 46=Hi Hat (Both, I usually label which but it's really up to you) 55=Stack 52=China 40=Snare 43=Left Tom 41=Right Tom 36=Kick. The numbers basically represent notes. I use GuitarPro and I've just designated each sound/number for something on my kit. I'll work on creating a key to post up on my channel.
this is my favourite track off weightless also :) its amazing to see someone lead with their left foot at times. thats a tiny kickdrum also, it looked like an optical illusion at first, like his leg was going through the top of the kickdrum

Double bass pedal. One of the pedals operates a second beater via a linkage, and the pedal is actually away from the bass drum.

@MasonStroudDrumming Most drummers that play this set up either are, or become much more comfortable with playing open handed on both sides; since the drums are just "played" rather than worrying about which hand plays them, much like Mike Mangini
