this creepy af movie really hit a nerve back in the day. one of my fav scenes is when the police go to check out the cells looking for the creeper. when his flashlight lit up a cell, ALL the prisoners are jammed up in one corner because the creeper is eating on one of them in the other corner.
I remember being so affected by Derry's screams at the end. I think it traumatized me somehow. I was not comfortable driving home that night. Man, that messed me up. Poor Derry.
I lost it, laughing my ass off when Chris said "Oh, I don't like this." And jump cut to Chris clutching an emotional support Chihuahua. And you gotta watch Jeepers Creepers 2 (2003).
Watching this when I was 11 was horrifying. I felt so bad for Darry, thought I’d never see the actor again. Flash forward 2 months: “If you can dodge a wrench. You can dodge a ball!” Darry: “Wut?”
I have to say this is one of the coolest and the scariest creature ever . I just love it . 😅 Classic early 2000's horror. Awesome reaction as always guys.
And the guy being put into jail while Derry and Trish talk to their folks is one of the coaches in JC2... He's the one that gets pulled from the front door of the bus...
One of my faves. At one point I watched it everyday so I can pretty much quote the whole thing. Now you HAVE to watch the second one...quite entertaining. Creeper has a lot more personality.
When you look it up on google , the creeper saw off the back of his head ….. his screams will always give me chills 💯 . Like I can’t even imagine what it would’ve been like to have seen the world below you as your being flown off with this thing , and I can’t even more imagine… what was was going thru his head when the creeper took off his clothes and was walking towards him with that saw 😢💯
''PUNCH IT CHEWY''..... 🤣 ..... adorable doggie....... and y'all's reaction at the first good look at the Creeper was priceless....and, it took Derry's skin
This movie scared the shit out of me the first time I watched it and the brother/sister relationship is really what makes this film so emotionally effective!
7:45 So a lot of people criticize this decision but the section of the movie where they see bodies getting dumped and was getting chased was inspired by an Unsolved Mysteries episode where a couple saw someone disposing a body. The couple actually did go back to the sight to confirm what they saw. Also something I noticed on recent viewings is the Creeper's eyes almost look glazed over. This indicates he's blind and knows where everyone is through smell. It’s also why he needs eyes
This is one of those movies that tends to fly under the radar but I love it. I remember seeing this in the theater when it came out and how everyone was so stoked after the movie and wanted to talk about it.
The deleted scenes show that the Creeper was originally supposed to speak after he ate the tongue. In the uncut scene of the Creeper lifting up the cat lady, he says, "She don't smell too good... Darrius." There's also an alternate ending that fully shows the face of the Creeper with Darrius' actor Justin Long, wearing the Creeper's makeup.
I'm a heavy truck mechanic and love movies that involve vehicles. The creeper van was a 1940's Gmc COE that they modified. They built the back end to make what's called a panel van, and dropped cummins 5.9 turbo diesel in it and cranked her up a bit. That's the turbo whistle you hear when they do they chase POV shot. Those engines can handle upward of 500 to over 1000 hp when done correctly so the speed you see from the old clunker is horrifyingly real.
I'm so mad that it took me LITERALLY 20 years to realise the license plate says B Eatng U not Beatin U. And it was only AFTER I watched it with my 16 year old son, and the psychic kept saying "think about it" that my son and I sat down, wrote out the license plate and went "OHHHHHH!!"
My brother & I watched this for the first time... and all we kept saying was "hell naw" wouldn't be us. Plus, I always wondered how the monster got personalized tags.
I remember seeing this movie when it first came out and reading the license plate as "Beating U", then once you find out what he is doing, you realize it's "B Eating U"
I remember begging my dad to let me and my brother watch this movie. Needless to say after it was all over, I was scared shit less. I remember looking at our closet for a while. Thinking the Creeper was gonna come and get us. Also, the ending was very dark and messed up. We the audience can hear Darry begging for his life and not seeing it. Felt very helpless in the moment. Then it turned into heartbreak when we see his dead body with half of it gone and both of his eyes taken since that was what the Creeper wanted. Audiences usually like that Disney kind of ending where the good guys always win but sometimes, we need the villain to win and make it all the more real if that makes any sense. The Creeper was also kind of a badass too! I remember being kind of shocked when I saw him doing flips and shit. Like what a boss. Of course, that was mostly because he had wings. The thing I also liked was not really or truly knowing what the Creeper actually is and we barely know anything.
This was the movie I was waiting for you guys to watch 😊. My brother and I really enjoyed this review. This movie is so chilling especially the ending 😨
I always found the 'demon' scarier before its full appearance was revealed. The image of this large figure standing by the pipe in that heavy dark outfit and the hat always gives me chills. Its form was human, but you could tell that it somehow was something much more sinister. Showing too much can take away from the effect and that was the case for me watching this as a child.
for reference, the director of this series is a sex offender convicted of filming porn with a twelve year old. He served just over a year in prison. That's scarier than ANYTHING in the film.
Yeah, I think he's also a member of (NAMBLA) North American Man/Boy Love Association which I thought was something South Park made up. It even kinda shows in his writing like his other movie Powder
@@Kronical69420 I usually try to separate movies from the actors or directors and just judge the actual movie itself but it's hard to with this one, especially when he lingers on certain shots, it just makes it uncomfortable and when you know what he's done it's just hard to watch. And it sucks because I really like this and the sequel (just the second I like, hate the other two), I will still watch it every once in a while but it's not easy to.
I'd always thought it was weird that The Creeper seemed to mostly target men, even as a kid watching it. It always seemed sexual made me uneasy. When I found out about the director when they announced the 3rd movie was being made, everything immediately clicked into place and I felt sick to my stomach that not only did this convicted child predator turn his own monstrous essence into an even bigger, immortal monster of his own creation, meaning he is completely self aware that of how much of a monster he is and gets off on it by immortalizing himself, but he was allowed to make MULTIPLE films and profit off of it. And it's barely even talked about. They still making movies and people are still watching, most of them having no clue...
This film was one of the best examples of a film with people that you actually think 'these two are too stupid to live', and later you actually think, Monster please get them. What are you waiting for?
Yes, you’re correct. When he eats the cops tongue he speaks after his face is revealed behind the old cat lady. He says “She don’t smell too good, Darrius” in a southern accent. It was much more frightening never hearing his voice so they took that scene out.
Jonathan Breck who plays the creature is so funny in the second jeepers creepers the dog is braking and wagin it's tail he says in the narrative he says the dog likes me
The cat lady is Mrs. Peacock from Clue. And I'm going to disagree with everyone else. It doesn't feed off fear. He needs the victim frightened to get adrenaline pumping so he can smell if they have a compatible organ he needs. Not just anyone's eyes or heart will do. And if he doesn't scare them he can't smell them, at least not from a distance. That's why the twins confused him for so long. They smelled too much alike for him to figure out who was the "donor" and what compatible part they had until he was right next to them.
This is one of my favorite movies!!! The reason why the demon didn't kill the psychic woman is because she wasn't scared along with the sister. Well....at least they weren't as scared as the brother. The demon feeds off of fear.
I love movies from this era. My favorite part is looking back at the year it was released and realizing my parents took me or dropped me off at some GREAT horror films at a stupid age. Saw this one in theater with my mom when I was NINE. First “R” movie was Texas Chainsaw Massacre in ‘03. LOL
The best horror movies: 1. They spend enough time to introduce the audience to the characters and the world. 2. They don’t reveal the villain immediately. This builds suspense and anticipation. 3. They don’t always show the deaths on camera. Often the imagination is more scary. The best thing that happened to Jaws was the shark breaking down forcing Spielberg to get creative. In Predator, you don’t see the Predator until halfway into the movie. The thermal vision from the trees builds tension along with the skinned bodies. When we do see it, we only get glimpses of, until the big reveal at the end. In Alien they spend a lot of time setting the stage. The creature that is shown isn’t in its final form. Again when the Xeno shows up, we catch glimpses of it. The Thing is brilliant because any character could be it, creating tension and conflict. It’s filmed in a claustrophobic setting. It shows you the creature in a over the top method, however several deaths are off screen.
It's been so long since i've seen this film that the end scene brought back all of the most disturbing thoughts it did the first time i saw it. I really has been so long i didn't even remember derry screaming in the factory. That shit is still just as disturbing now as it was before. I remember i used to hear the jeepers creepers song when i was working at olive garden not too long ago and always thought about this movie just because of that
The license plate in the beginning isn’t “Beating You”, it’s “Be Eating You”. It’s a foreshadowing joke. I believe the creature is loosely based on the windigo. They are based on Native American mythology, they were once human, but a famine forced them into cannibalism until they eventually become this creature. They are immortal and regenerate damaged parts of their bodies by eating them from other people. The wings, only being awake every 23 years, and using fear to smell what part of you it wants were added for the sake of this movie.
What they did not realise you can’t kill it when the 23 days are up it just goes back to sleep so driving over it just delays it a bit it can regenerate itself from all the pieces it ate
I've gotta say, Trish emotionally pleading for her brother's life and trying to chase them before realizing she can't do anything always gets me more than the final shot.
lowkey i use to find the stare down with the creeper so fcking creepy
Its Oscar worthy

this creepy af movie really hit a nerve back in the day. one of my fav scenes is when the police go to check out the cells looking for the creeper. when his flashlight lit up a cell, ALL the prisoners are jammed up in one corner because the creeper is eating on one of them in the other corner.
I remember being so affected by Derry's screams at the end. I think it traumatized me somehow. I was not comfortable driving home that night. Man, that messed me up. Poor Derry.
Me too! 😱
It just dawned on me that beating u literally could also be "B eating u"
Creeper has a sense of humour going around town letting everybody know.
Thats exactly what it meant, the psychic lady told Dary to think about it when he kept saying “what?? beating u ?” basically implying its B eating u
"Who calls their kid Derry?" " I guess they really like milk" lol that one just got me rolling!
I've seen a lot of horror films and most never scare me. I've developed such a tolerance. But this movie actually creeped ME out
The second one is just as good. Justin Long should've gotten an Oscar just for his emotional facial expressions alone in this movie.
You can dodge a ball!”
Darry: “Wut?”
Omg I looooove dodgeball such a good movie and hilarious how was his face not broken after that idk 😂
Any other questions?
Fun Fact: Darry's actor Justin Long had to be in the make up for that ending when JC looked at the camera with HIS eyes.
The sequel is definitely worth watching. Forget 3 and 4.
x2
I have to say this is one of the coolest and the scariest creature ever . I just love it . 😅 Classic early 2000's horror. Awesome reaction as always guys.
Fun fact: Jonathan Breck who plays the Creeper, also plays a cop at the end of the movie (bald guy) 🙂
And the guy being put into jail while Derry and Trish talk to their folks is one of the coaches in JC2... He's the one that gets pulled from the front door of the bus...
Another great road trip horror is Joy Ride with a young Paul Walker.
One of my faves. At one point I watched it everyday so I can pretty much quote the whole thing. Now you HAVE to watch the second one...quite entertaining. Creeper has a lot more personality.
8:41 that is very cute! I love how Octokrool is holding the dog 🐶, ❤😊🎃
Dary was just too nosey for his own good…😂😂😂 he said “Wow! No good ending! I’m actually surprised at that.” Yeah those were my sentiments too.
It's fear that attracts him--certain types of fear. That's why he went for the brother. Fun reaction, though--love it!
Exactly & the Creeper wanted his eyes because those dead bodies he saw down that pipe scared him. Tris never seen them
When you look it up on google , the creeper saw off the back of his head ….. his screams will always give me chills 💯 . Like I can’t even imagine what it would’ve been like to have seen the world below you as your being flown off with this thing , and I can’t even more imagine… what was was going thru his head when the creeper took off his clothes and was walking towards him with that saw 😢💯
This movie is pretty good, I guess it’s considered a B-movie but it’s very well done. Great film, deserves a lot of praise.
''PUNCH IT CHEWY''..... 🤣 ..... adorable doggie....... and y'all's reaction at the first good look at the Creeper was priceless....and, it took Derry's skin
Watched this movie every Halloween with my mom growing up as a kid. We love horror movies. I highly recommend the 2nd movie.
Don’t celebrate Halloween!!! Just don’t it!!!! Take my word for it.
This movie scared the shit out of me the first time I watched it and the brother/sister relationship is really what makes this film so emotionally effective!
Lol... The license plate reads "be eating you"
7:45 So a lot of people criticize this decision but the section of the movie where they see bodies getting dumped and was getting chased was inspired by an Unsolved Mysteries episode where a couple saw someone disposing a body.
Darrius."
There's also an alternate ending that fully shows the face of the Creeper with Darrius' actor Justin Long, wearing the Creeper's makeup.
LOVED the unhappy ending!!! It was very unexpected when I watched it as a kid 😈🎬
Those engines can handle upward of 500 to over 1000 hp when done correctly so the speed you see from the old clunker is horrifyingly real.
you know ya stuff
So... the director... Victor Salva. *actual* Creeper. As in, convicted, name on a list creeper. Kinda puts the whole "sniffing" bit into context.
🤣
“Wooo!!! BUILT. Different.” I always love that 💪🏼👍🏼 “Hey Mom” 👋🏼
I love the part where Darry sees the corpse collage in the basement.
Your reactions and facial expressions were PRICELESS!!!!!
“I don’t wanna play with you no more”
OMG I almost spat out my water laughing at that comment 😂🤣😂
Justin Long was incredible in barbarian which just came out a couple months ago (it’s on HBO now), and he’s still killing it as a scream queen
He did great in tusk. Total scream king
I don’t think he’d appreciate being called a scream queen lol
@@Rico401Prov I really doubt he’d mind because he isn’t a little bitch
You need therapy for whatever is going on in yo life 💯
I am totally fine lol but you need to leave strangers alone if you only have empty criticisms 💯
I’m glad you guys watched this one. I think it was really spooky and not given enough credit. Horrifying.
You only get to see Jeepers Creeper for the first time once, hope you enjoyed it!! Please do Jeepers Creepers 2, it’s pretty good as well!!!
My brother & I watched this for the first time... and all we kept saying was "hell naw" wouldn't be us. Plus, I always wondered how the monster got personalized tags.
Jeepers Creepers is a Halloween classic and the best, by this point the only best in the franchise. Give Jeepers Creepers 2 a watch, it’s really fun!
I remember seeing this movie when it first came out and reading the license plate as "Beating U", then once you find out what he is doing, you realize it's "B Eating U"
LoL, he really applied for tags.
I hope you watch the second,. Gives more back ground to Jeepers creepers! Great reaction ❤️❤️
You guys should definitely react to Jeepers Creepers 2 after this one!
This was the movie I was waiting for you guys to watch 😊. My brother and I really enjoyed this review. This movie is so chilling especially the ending 😨
To this day, the sound of that horn in the truck absolutely haunts my dreams.
The fear of something that looks human but ain't human, kicks in while watching this movie.
You have to watch the second to really understand that he sniffs their fear and takes the part of the body he wants
I loved the react, I'd suggest part 2 as well...
The cop that gets his heart taken out is the guy whos playing the Kreeper
Interesting trivia, That opening scene was actually based on true events. Shown in a tv documentary series called Unsolved Mysteries.
"uh oh, the hoblers coming" lmao killed me
Haha! Yes! Thank you for reacting to this. It was my favorite as a kid
for reference, the director of this series is a sex offender convicted of filming porn with a twelve year old. He served just over a year in prison. That's scarier than ANYTHING in the film.
Yeah, I think he's also a member of (NAMBLA) North American Man/Boy Love Association which I thought was something South Park made up. It even kinda shows in his writing like his other movie Powder
As much as I loved this movie I cant watch it anymore. The creeper and the movie is all the more sick knowing the backstory behind the director.
Can't wait for them to react to jeepers creepers 2
This movie terrified me and I didn’t want to drive out in the country side for 8 years until I forgot the movie but it always haunts me
The License Plate doesn't say "BEATNG U" - rather it says "B EATNG U".
Some foreshadowing for Darry. He always misreads the plates...
This film was one of the best examples of a film with people that you actually think 'these two are too stupid to live', and later you actually think, Monster please get them. What are you waiting for?
This was one of the very few horrors that actually scared me shitless. The part where the creeper was on top of the police car was freaky.
The second one’s pretty good too
Yes, you’re correct. When he eats the cops tongue he speaks after his face is revealed behind the old cat lady. He says “She don’t smell too good, Darrius” in a southern accent. It was much more frightening never hearing his voice so they took that scene out.
Jonathan Breck who plays the creature is so funny in the second jeepers creepers the dog is braking and wagin it's tail he says in the narrative he says the dog likes me
Jeepers creepers 2 was the first one I watched so I always look at the original as 2 it took me years to finally watch jeepers creepers one
Darry screaming at the end still haunts me to this day.
I love the way you two react on this. Can't wait for the reaction on Jeepers Creepers (2003).
They smelled too much alike for him to figure out who was the "donor" and what compatible part they had until he was right next to them.
i can see it
This is one of my favorite movies!!! The reason why the demon didn't kill the psychic woman is because she wasn't scared along with the sister. Well....at least they weren't as scared as the brother. The demon feeds off of fear.
No, it's smells compatible parts through fear/pheromones. They were all scared, they just weren't compatible donors.
@@hitmixhyepock9405the psychic literally says it’s fear
I already told you he is a demon of sorts he has wings and it’s very strong physically that’s how it gets the bodies up there
The old lady with a gun is Eileen Brennan(Mrs Peacock) from Clue. I know you both loved her in that.
LOL
There’s a delete scene where the creeper does speak right after he gets the cat lady cause he ate the tongue
Forreal where do u have the link to it dude
I think the psychic looked at Trisha as a silent message that it was her brother the creeper wanted all along but didn't want Derry to know his fate.
The ending traumatized me as a kid. 😆
The scene of the creeper looking at them through the glass... Very creature of the black lagoon...
Poor Darry, didnt make it the end. Great classic with such an unexpected ending...Tune into part 2 next😈😈😈
I saw scream and jeepers creepers way too young, they were my nightmares for along time. So glad to see you guys react to this one.
I saw this in theaters at probably 8 years old. Crazy to think about. Loved it then and I love it now. The sequels are… less than stellar.
The best horror movies:
I remember i used to hear the jeepers creepers song when i was working at olive garden not too long ago and always thought about this movie just because of that
The actress who plays gisele played in tv series bones as well
The license plate in the beginning isn’t “Beating You”, it’s “Be Eating You”.
“You got 10 secs! To get your ass out of my yard!” 😂
I know October is almost over but you guys should watch “Tales from the hood”. It’s a classic.
