Ok so as someone who really understands what good audio is as I’ve been around it for over 25 years, let me start with saying this…No gaming headset is worth that price tag. Just because it has features like swappable batteries, simultaneous wireless and Bluetooth and all that, it doesn’t mean it’s worth that price
The main job of a headset or headphone is to provide that sound quality and everything else while may be useful for some people, it’s still all a gimmick
I’ll get to the part about me using a wired headset, but before I do that, I’ve been using the Turtle Beach Stealth Pro almost all day today. Since 2018 I’ve been using wireless headsets and only SteelSeries and latest being the Nova 7 Wireless. Nova 7 has very accurate bass and mids, and after a little EQ’ing very good treble as well. It also has really good imaging. I’ve been using both comparing them all day and honestly they both sounded very good, but the Nova 7’s near perfect bass and mids are noticeable, but the treble on the Turtle Beach Stealth Pro is a little better, but they both have I would say almost equal imaging, Turtle Beach just a bit better
However, in my opinion the best Turtle Beach headset is the wired Elite Pro 2 with the super amp and it’s my main headset as I’m now a desk gamer. Now I tested the Elite Pro 2 against both the Stealth Pro and Nova 7 and neither comes close to the sound accuracy, clarity and imaging of the Elite Pro 2. It’s literally day and night difference
I know with Wireless there’s no wires and it’s so cool to have it, especially if you’re a sofa gamer, but you do sacrifice that sound quality and imaging
Overall the Turtle Beach Stealth Pro is a very good headset, but nowhere near that good to be at that price. It’s not much different to the Stealth 700 Gen 2, but they’ve added swappable batteries and improved the Audio Hub experience and added over £100 to the price
Good read gave you a like sir! Did you try the Maxwells? I am hearing superior reviews for that headset.
@@sams7056 Thank you 😊. I’ve not tried the Maxwell however, I can guarantee you that it will have amazing sound quality, super clean, very accurate bass, mids and highs and a pleasure to listen to, but at the same time if you’re an FPS gamer and really want to hear those footsteps and you want wireless, then go for the Turtle Beach Stealth Pro or SteelSeries Nova 7 or Pro. Again, I can guarantee the imaging on the Maxwell is average. I had the Audeze Penrose and one of their £900 gaming headphones the LCD and while both have superior sound quality compared to other headsets, they fell behind on imaging. Planar magnetic drivers are prone to mismatch compared to traditional dynamic drivers
Here’s the thing. If you’re looking for a headset that will give you superior sound quality in gaming and music, then go for the Audeze Maxwell, but if you want a headset to give you pin point accuracy in imaging critical sounds like footsteps, then look for other options like the ones I mentioned above and there are other ones as well
My personal view on headsets and headphones when gaming is, I don’t care much about actual sound quality, I care about how well the positional audio is, because at the end of the day it’s just a game and as long as the headset sounds good enough with great imaging, then I go for it
@@famezy9103 hello I was thinking of getting the nova pros wired headset the new 2023 version . Ig my question is should I get the wireless or wired ones. I play on console
@@Capo_jc21 Both great choices, I love them. If you’re a desk gamer, then definitely the wired version. Overall sound quality and imaging is noticeably better on the wired. If you’re a sofa gamer, then for the convenience get the wireless and it’s still one of the best headsets
@@famezy9103 thanks I’m going with the wired version.
I still rock my elite pro 2 and love them!
Can you please make a video about using the app? How to use the app it to get better bass sound on the games on the heads up.
Do you think the superhuman mode helps? I use the footsteps preset on it on Warzone 2 and still can’t hear footsteps clearly
How does this compare to Audeze Maxwell?
How do they compare to Astro A50?
What is game Eq precept mean? What is that for?
But can u update them because both gen 700 wouldnt
Quick question. Going from a TB Stealth 700 gen 2 (used it for four years) to a Stealth Pro. Is there difference in game audio significant? The complaints about mics stop working worry me though.
Hey, after watching your video today, I went to purchase these headset for the police station. If you could do a video how to use the app and how to put the sound with the footstep together I would appreciate it. I just pick them up today at Best Buy.
How did you get voice chat to work
I'm a big fan of cloth earpads (in fact I actively avoid pleather pads) but I understand why companies don't include both options by default. Switching the pad material changes the sound of the whole headphone. I imagine cost is an issue as well.
Wicked Cushions is working on new pads for these.
@@WaywardTraveler77 They work on pads for lots of headphones seems like, we'll see how long it is before they are available.
They use the pleather to have a nice seal for ANC.
Yeah, that’s why I said I wish they just have the option for people that you know… live in a warm climate without the AC blasting lol. Imagine walking outside with the “stealth” look with some hot leather ear pads…. No one would do it. And that is the truth lol so even that doesn’t hold up in court if this is truuuuly an all in one headset, right?
@@TooMuchTech I'm on your side trust me. I have Sony WH-1000 xm3 noise canceling headphones for use outside my house and I bought Dekoni cloth earpads to replace the pleather ones it comes with and my go-to wireless gaming headphone is the Razer Blackshark v2 pro, which come with sportsmesh earpads. Down with the pleather patriarchy I say.
funny lookin little man
I’m still torn. Might have to do the good ole Amazon trial 😂
Absolutely haha
sorta feel the same but knowing me...id probably keep em anyways
I want to have a wireless headset, but I just can't find anyone that actually beats a old pair of corded headphones sound wise. Even tried the Steelseries Nova Pro that someone mentioned in the comments, but no. The sound is good but not yet up there to beat a pair of known Sennheisers or Beyerdynamics. So a USB Mic it is! :P
Audeze Maxwell ?
I got mine like a week ago but I don’t know if it just mine but my anc is so bad. I ordered it amazon. when I opened the box I see some dust on the box already it. Meaning it probably been sitting at one place for a while. My guess is that the one that I got is probably one of the first units they made and it probably have some defects the anc.
How to get voice chat to work?
@@starstatusvillarreal3747 I already refunded mine from what I remember it should just be a plug and play on console. If it still doesn’t work then maybe inside settings, and if that still doesn’t then maybe your mic is broken.
Hey, does the spinning volume wheel seems cheap to you? I got mine and it rotates pretty easy but seems cheap to me, like it even wiggles a little, not sure if it is my unit. Let me know if yours does that.
Mine as far as quality was fine, I just wish the area where you grip it was a little bigger and easier to grab
the sound is good bro?i have the nova pro and love it but this looks good too
Same here. Feels cheap as.f..
@@poeleloele and what about the sound?
@@poeleloele i put a custom EQ in the novas pros and the sound right now is so sick but dont know, want more bass more loud sound, i think that the audeze maxwell is what i need to, but i heard that the spartial sound is not so good im these and that they not arrive until june 😫😫😫 dont know if buy the tb or stay with the novas pro some time because they are new, have like 3 month with they
Hi i just ordered mine for my PS5 but one question what's up with the hat why does everybody seem to have a hat on when there wearing headphones i guess in going to have to pick up me a hat before i play stay safe and happy gaming to all
How did you get voice chat to work
Voice chat does not work for PlayStation only work for Xbox
there is a differente x box version and ps5 version? i mean in sound quality....if i buy x box version and use for ps5 ? or it's better ps version?=
How did you get voice chat to work
Can you compare these with the steelseries headsets?
I shall indeed
@@TooMuchTech Do you think they are better in terms of sound quality
@@frozengamer3030 same question that i have, i have my novas pro with a custom EQ and love it, the sound the comfort , the easy acces to ps5 or xbox , but this stealth pro have good reviews too ,need to know how much good is the sound
@@joesipr I actually have these but am no expert in sound
@@joesipr the sound is very good. I had the skills series $340 one and I got rid of them to get this one. I play rainbow six siege with them.
And I don’t have these headsets no more I purchased the new headsets Astro a50 Logitech they could do what I need to do
what do you think about audeze maxwell? whichi is better=
?
Haven’t tried anything from Audeze so I can’t say!
These, because they're available. I ordered Maxwells a month ago and still haven't received them. I got these yesterday and they are better than the Astro A50s i had. You can pretty much hear everything
@@Velly2g i was debating between them and inzone h9
@@DELLB93 the nova pro are a beast too
@@Velly2g because maxwell are not available doesnt mean they are not good, i m looking for a good headset for adventure game like horizon resident evil the last of us , not game fps
I have been using headsets for over 15 years now and wireless headset are a big no no. There can be interference and lag with wireless headsets. If you are after a super high end headset look elsewhere like sennheiser.
What’s a good sennhieser headset for gaming under $300?
Nova pro+stealth 700=stealth pro
bro u didnt even talk about the sound quality in games. footsteps etc lol.
USD🇺🇸$329 CAD🇨🇦$449.
I'd rather get a pair of planar magnetics at that price.
@AmpEdition Why did you remove the dongle on the pc when eq-ing on the phone? There was no need for that. Also the all metal build, which added to the weight, was in response to the terrible plastic build quality of the Mobius and Penrose. The Turtle Beach headsets have the same problem as well but the company has made no effort to fix them with the Stealth Pro. In other words, it's going to fall apart in a year's time.
@AmpEdition Maxwell are far away from both SS and Turtle beach in terms of sound quality ! the only thing where the turtle beach is better is the sound stage in footsteps game a bit more deep ! but if you play all around games the maxwell is just unbeatable !
Not spending 300$+ for turtle beaches shit build quality. They will definitely break with heavy use within a year. Either way im not paying $300 for any "gaming headset " id much rather buy good high quality headset thats specifically for Music/sound quality
This headset was an INSTANT RETURN The mic monitoring has a delay which manifests as hearing an echo of yourself when you speak. THIS WAS EFFING MADDENING. And turning off the mic monitoring makes you sound SUPER MUFFLED to yourself because of the tight seal on the earcups.
The other problem is it is NOT LAG FREE. I estimate roughly 60-100 milliseconds of latency but that is just a rough human estimate. i didn't measure it. What i DID do was play guitar through it and every note lands a tiny fraction of a second late. Impossible to notice while gaming but this will be an instant no buy for any musician who likes to play through their headset occasionally. The other wireless headsets i own do NOT do this. I suspect it is from their processing being just a tiny bit slower than the others. whatever the case....this was a deal breaker as well.
If this doesn't bother you than you might like this headset. It's audio quality was SHOCKINGLY GOOD. Like, i have both steel series arctis pro and nova pro wireless and a Corsair Virtuoso xt. This sounds significantly better than all of them. Unfortunately, those dealbreakers are real
No Turtle headset is worth that price point sorry. 🧐 In Sennheiser territory at $300++
Oh have you tried them I take it?
These are worth $300
I was saying the same thing but saw multiple reviews gushing over them so I bought them after just purchasing the Audeze Maxwell and I returned the Maxwell
@@deanhasen3220 are they amazing then?!
@@DELLB93 yes I LOVE them! I primarily use them for single player story type games and they have a great, full, immersive sound with great bass which is what I want. I would say if you primarily play FPS and care about footsteps and/or you will use them for listening to music a lot then go with the Audeze Maxwell, but if you’re like me and you primarily use your headset for single player gaming go with the Stealth Pro
