I met this man at Republic airport in 2010. He really took his time and me and my dad talked to him for hours. One of the most down to earth coolest guys ive ever met. He described this incident to us and walked us around his plane. An experience I wont ever forget. What an honor! A true inspiration.

Sean Tucker is as good an airshow pilot as they get. He is recounting a story for a group that wants to hear an "exciting" story. His joy of flying is evident in everything he does. He flew to Tucson with us one time. Totally humble, really nice guy.

mechanical failure in the elevator control linkage - could happen to anyone. I don't see any BS here from Sean.
I don't understand the bitterness. Glad Sean is OK. I appreciate his telling his story.

This guy is my aerobatic hero. I want to one day fly his routine and survive it..ask him if I can use some of his moves as my own and then just do my own thing. Plan to be an aerobatic pilot while serving my country as a Marine. This guy does some of the most amazing stunts I have ever seen. Semper-fi Sean D!

I've only seen him fly in videos ....but damn ! This man is the best, skill, courage aren't the words. I pay to get in a plane with him any day of the week.

This must've happened in Shreveport, because he mentioned Dr. Coleman trying to vector him toward Coushatta! Wow!

That's not the same. They've got ejection seats, and they bailout because there's no way they can safely control their aircraft. It's different when you can at least somewhat maintain control, and keep it away from anyone who could be injured. Then jump out while avoiding being hit by the tail

Wings & Wheels I wonder if anyone out there teaches proper bailout techniques , I mean not in this case you probably couldn’t but I think you should roll inverted and then push out into the slipstream

@@giantgaming600 Sean D Tucker in at least a few written interviews says he was afraid of needing to bail out while flying aerobatics at first, so he took in a personal loan and obtained his skydiving license back in the day before anyone knew him. Its served him well. It also shows how dedicated he was to his aerobatic and airshow flying career, even before he was a competitive pilot and long before anyone knew his name as a pilot.
