Big “Thank You” for helping us hit 400k subscribers 🤯 “Drawn Out” captures the essence of pulling a limited entry rifle elk tag and the dreams that come along with one of these tags. Warm weather, a full moon and a few unexpected twists make this hunt one to remember. Hope you enjoy it 👊🏼
I've heard that there are a few phases that a hunter will go through in his life. First is when you'll tag out on the first one you see, the second is when you will tag out on the biggest one you see, and the last is when it becomes more about the hunt. I respect the heck out of a decision to pass, knowing full well that you won't be the one who gets to capitalize on that tough decision. It will be some other hunter who sees that monster next season. That is a true sportsman. Great job, and congrats on a successful hunt, Bmac!
I’ve said this before and will say it again bmac is a true hunter and does exactly what it takes to be a REAL hunter. Much respect to you and the hushin team man love you guys!
You are the epitomy of what hunters should be B Mac! Eating that tag must have been emotionally brutal. Credit to you and the squad for the patience and love of the sport. Truly stewards of what we want for the future of hunting!
This is the type of video that really drew me to your channel. Showing the ups and downs of a hunt. Every hunter knows that you don't get a kill every time you go out there. The way that Brian was able to tell this story and keep me engaged for an hour really says something about the quality of content that you guys put out. I loved every minute of it. Congratulations on 400K!
@@gethushin Keep up the great work guys. If I'm ever able to work my way over from Missouri to one of the trade shows, hopefully I can meet you guys and say hello.
Proud of you BMac. Valiant effort and a very poignant explanation of the outcome. Beautiful country with beautiful people. Thanks for taking me a long for the ride. Go Hushin!
Bmack you’re what ever hunter should be like! How amazing you guys show respect to a private land owner how generous a public land owner is! You all are a great example for the future hunter! Might want to invest in a 1/2” impact for tire changing
"He's a good bull now but next year he should be a great bull"... that is a Savy hunter right there. I tip my hat to you B-Mac. Thanks for a great film.
Good for you Bmack!!! You know what you want and won’t settle for anything lees or shoot one just to make content, definitely thinking of tomorrow and not today.
Appreciate it! I’ve learned if you’re not over the top excited looking at the animal through the spotting scope it’s unlikely you will be super excited when you walk up on the animal.
I enjoy every video. But I feel this video was only updates, not much hunting. Bmack always just talks through the videos and I find myself just skipping through those sections, this one was over an hour and I maybe watched 20 minutes of it.
Alot of us have said we like to hear the whole hunt vs a shorter more action packed video on the slower hunts, I remember years ago alot of guys were begging for more explanations, packout footage, b roll ect to really encompass more of the hunt, if you want to watch em drop there's alot of montages and complations out there to fill that part of the winter fill
At least he didn't shoot a dink just to get on film to get a few more hits that's what drives me crazy when all these RUclipsrs are killing small animals just to get it on film.
I enjoy the hunts. I really do. Honestly, I enjoyed the earlier hunts much more though. Eric's $5 elk hunt this year was closer. Mostly hiking in with backpacks, with lots of stalking, snacks (lol), filming with phones & phone scope along the way (except for the fact of having 2-3 camera men) on public land. I know it's harder to film on your own, but it was more relatable for the average hunter. I remember what seemed like Eric's 1st 2nd person camera he had strapped to the side of his head like a headlamp so people could see what he saw while bowhunting on his own from a treestand he jerry rigged in a pinetree. Now they're increasingly doing high-end hunts on private land accessed mostly by Rhino's. Here, Bmac's spotting from the top of a decked out CanAm vehicle. And it's RUclips, where it's only a matter of time before RUclips starts canceling videos. I never get feeds anymore despite being a long-time subscriber & having the bell activated. They need to start posting on Rumble cuz RUclips is migrating away from hunting videos. But I digress... It still feels to me like they are bringing us along for their hunt, sharing more of the story compared to other channels, which is GOOD, but it's getting so tech, etc., to me it's losing its relatability to the average public land hunter. Their backpack story is a good example. They started with a backpack most people could afford ($200 ish range) now they're carrying an $800-1k pack, if they're carrying it at all due to their alternative of driving to their spotting area in a Rhino. They used to do almost all their camping in tents & hammocks they packed in with & tease Eric about carrying a frying pan in his backpack 5+ miles in so he could eat good at the campfire. Now they usually have a wall tent that serves as a massive mess hall kitchen for them & their filming crews that they go back to every night. I still like the videos, but the videos are just so much more high end ... different. To HUSH's credit. They were likely THE key hunting channel that changed the hunting video industry with their more relatable full story approach, taking people along for the experience. They did to the hunting video industry what Vortex did to the hunting optics industry. Completely changing it for the better. But their high end stuff is also turning it increasingly into something the average new hunter is more likely to think they can't do or relate to because it looks more like you have to have a lot of expensive tech to be able to do.
My dads bday is also Oct 4th and was 65 this year. After a heart attack two years ago (two weeks before my limited entry mule deer hunt) I feel blessed every time we are still able to get into the field together. My dad is/was very healthy and is the last person you would have ever thought would have a heart attack. Point being, I’m more grateful than ever to still get the opportunity to hunt with my dad and take zero moments for granted, because after what happened to us you never know when it may be your last hunt together. Awesome work!
Consider yourself fortunate. Brothers birthday was Oct. 4, 2 years ago mid Oct he hit a deer on the highway. Airbag torqued his brainstem. Dad passed away while brother was in the hospital. Brother went from hospital to rehab to home, barely walk, stroke, hospital then nursing home. Passed on Memorial day. Running out of family quick. Be thankful for those you have.
@@theoldhunter6090 Omg I’m so sorry, that really makes me feel for you and your family. I absolutely feel like the most fortunate and blessed person on earth. Believe me, even after going through what we did I don’t take one single second for granted. It upsets me that at one time I did take those times more for granted than I certainly should have. However, I cherish every second because like yourself, you never know.
It has to be nerve wrecking to put out a 1hr video with no kill to show for it. Wandering if people will watch, or complain or whatever. With that being said, thank you for doing it. Hunting is not always killing, and killing isn't always hunting. Thanks for a great video! The time invested was well worth it, great quality, great info, and just love getting to feel like I'm spending some time in the woods with you guys! Thanks for keeping it real! Cheers!
Such a great film... I love elk and I love being out in Elk country. Seeing you get to share this trip with your Dad hit me hard as I lost my Dad about 6 years ago to brain cancer. Good on ya for spending that time with your Dad. When they're gone they're gone and theres no more time to get those trips and me ories in. Get them while you can. Re: tires... BFGs and due to recent experience Falken AT3Ws are the only tires I'd ever trust. I ran all kinds of brands living in Australia and doing 4wd tour leading in a 70-series Cruiser and BFGs were the only tires that survived and never gave me trouble (we ran Toyo, Cooper, Goodyear, Hankook and a couple others). Here in the PNW I run BFGs and now a set of Falken AT3Ws on my multiple Toyota 4wds (1st Gen Tundra and 2 older 4Runners that are trail/adventure rigs) I will never run anything but those two and would make BFGs my first choice. Goodyears have awful durability and Toyos are for trucks that want to look like they see dirt but never do.
Wow! Lots of respect BMac! Great video/hunt. You made me feel better about coming home from Colorado the oat two years holding out for a next level buck. As you said it’s about who your hunting with and the ones you love! If I anyone’s reading this make sure to spend time with your dad and loved ones while their healthy! My dad has dementia and we’ve lost him mentally and that kills me not to have him with me. Make sure to capitalize on spending time and asking the questions you want to work those you love! You don’t know when they’ll be gone. Keep up the great work guys!
I didn't have my real dad, but my step-dad has been the best hunting partner I could ask for. He helped on my first elk, first archery deer, and I was able to help him on his biggest bull.
Great video! Non-hunters are unlikely to see the video, but it is important to show people with different opinions that hunting isn't only about killing. Thanks for representing us in a dignified manner. I too have watched the sun set over deer on the last day of the season and admired their presence. It feels great to wish them well and hope to catch back up with them the following year.
SUPER COOL VID. loved seeing all the handwork and persistence and comradery of this hunt. Some of those scenes were magical. loved that you showed so much of the footage! made my night for sure. What a way to destress by watching an hour of Elk hunting.
That's awesome how you developed a good relationship with that landowner. 👍👍 I love how tight knit our outdoorsmanship can bring us, can even get friends for decades.😁
Been here long enough to know Brian’s style, he is the most patient out of the group. Listen to what he says and how level he stays! I learn so much from him as I am trying to get to that next level as a hunter. And from what I’m learning, and he just taught us, sometimes you just gotta eat some tags to get trophy animals.
There’s alway satisfaction in a quality harvest. Perhaps even greater is knowing that you could’ve but chose not to. I hunted 26 days archery elk and put my infilled tag in the drawer. Totally satisfied 😊
Great video! Eating a LE tag is crazy but if you don't need the meat it makes sense. I enjoyed this hunt! Can't fill every tag. I had elk burgers just before watching this video. Those burgers were on point.
I remember this unit back in the late 90’s and the amount of sheds we would find of giant bulls. it will bounce back eventually. Still a premium unit. This was cool to see. Brought back memories
Enjoyed the video and very glad the land owner found and got his elk he had to have been heart sick knowing and thinking he hit it and could not find it even you guys . Congratulations to him awesome elk .sorry Brian you didn't get your elk but great hunt anyway.
Torn , am I disappointed or proud ? Those were some great bulls!! Maybe Brian is getting spoiled? Or is appreciation for the hunt so great. Only he can truly answer that. I am jealous!!! Thanks for letting one go for possibly one day I might have a crack at a full grown monster !!!
Bmack it is all about the time spent with love ones. If something doesn't get you excited then why kill just to kill. Major kudos to you for being able to pass and go home with your head held high. Don't let anyone tell you that you should have done something different.
I like the format and this hunt helps me understand the lack of B-Mac in most of the videos this year. I understand getting down on the size of the bulls but you watched more elk than many will see in 5-10 years of hunting. That six point at the end was solid…maybe someday I’ll be able to pass a bull like that.
Way to put in the work BMac! While I have not yet got my first bull and would have probably taken any one of the bulls you saw. I do understand the search for the one that gets you excited. I am in that place for mule deer. At the same time like you I truly enjoy being out in the woods with those you love and cherish the time spent together. Looking forward to seeing more! 🙌🏼👏🏼🔥
Glad to see you back in a video B-Mac. Hunting values are hard to come by now days. Everyone just wants to punch a tag. It is also our responsibility to ensure that herds stay strong. No question, you made the hard but right decision. You should be able to rest well with no second guess. Awesome work and great video!
@Casey - not sure if you guys do this before hitting the trails, but lowering the tire pressure helps to minimize a tire puncture due to rocks. Also, BFGoodrich Tires All-Terrain T/A's are pretty good (from personal experience) but I heard Toyo makes great tires as well.
Good tires are a great thing but there’s a product out there called monster seal.. I’ve watched it work like it should! I work in the rv industry and will definitely save you off road via the trailer, truck or the atv. Great videos of it online. Have a lot of customers that love it with there off road vehicles. Good luck happy hunting!!
My son drew an awesome archery deer tag this year. We have had that same tag in the past and we had the hardest time finding big bucks this year. Our expectations dropped a lot toward the end of the hunt with no luck. When I asked him about this past year’s experience, he said he still enjoyed the hunt. We saw plenty of deer but not many big bucks.
Love you guys. But there is now way you should pass up a solid bull like that at the end. Tons of guys would give anything to see that many bulls and have a chance at one. I understand it's a limit draw tag but all those guys put in all that work for days and pass a bull 95 percent would have shot
I think it is incredible what you guys do, and I wish you guys the best of luck. I will make a Political comment about you guys watching the NFL. I wish more people would have boycotted the NFL after the whole kneeling thing. I have not watched a game since the beginning of them Kneeling. It is hard for me because I loved football and would watch at least 2 games or record and watch later every weekend. Best of luck to you and keep up the hard work!
I am a tire guy from scottsbluff nebraska and usually when you have a rock in you tire the tire is no good because it has broken the cords in the tire and no patch or plug will fix it But i would recommend the Falken wildpeak AT3W in a 10 ply does great on the highway and great off road
Been enjoying your videos new format but, did I miss what state this hunt was in? I enjoy comparing animals from state to state. Greatly appreciate all your content.
If you buy a hdmi adapter for iPhone you can plug it into the hdmi cord on the tv and watch whatever’s on your phone that’s how I watch you guys or Netflix at the cabin.
You guys are great hunters. It almost seems illegal that six people can hunt when only one person has a tag. The elk doesn't have a chance of escaping 12 eyes and ears. Its more exciting to watch only one person hunt DIY.
LIMITED ENTRY means it isnt limited.....it's hunting elk that have been pressured since the third week of August. I had a "LE" tag archery Bull Elk that opened the same day as the State archery opener.....hundreds of people hunting the same elk that I had scouted all summer. It's part of the price we pay for living in a great state!!! Oh well!!!! I ended getting a small 4 point bull in the last couple of days!! I settled but I was glad.....lots of archery tags get put in the soup bowl!!!!
Bmack kept saying he wanted to shoot a good “representative”of the area. Well I think you saw many bulls that represented the area from what I saw. The bigger bull that was shot was the biggest bull in the area. Not a true representative of the area. If you didn’t see a big enough bull you wanted, say that. But as far as bulls that represent the area…… I think you saw them. Bmack you are a trophy hunter, just admit it. I know you think it will turn some viewers off but, if the shoe fits, it fits. It’s not a bad thing just how hunters migrate towards as experience increases. Sorry to be long winded. Just be real is all I ask, as a long time viewer.
Love the videos but hated the 12 min videos last years u done I absolutely positively love the full length videos by the way u miss ur old job at Weyerhaeuser lol
My family owns a big cattle ranch in the coastal mountains in California it’s 16 sections and we’re surrounded by East Bay regional Park it’s some of the best trophy Blacktail hunting in California and I love your channel and content so much, message me season starts second Saturday in July you guys can come up stay in the cabin for a couple weeks and hunt for free
As a Trail Boss owner that had to change a tire on a 2 track in the dark 45 minutes before first light. I can 100% agree with that. I'll be putting BFH KO2s on before next season.
It's hard for me to understand that if you can't find a giant, you'd rather have no elk than one of the many solid bulls you saw. Even if it's just for the meat. Probably a level I'll never be on
Yeah it’s a weird dynamic I was lucky enough to harvest a bull the month prior with my bow and was willing to gamble and hold off till the last second.
You guys being in a bit of a different situation than most of us, I can hear my dad saying never pass a buck the first day that you’d love to have on the last day. In some ways I think the idea of a MATURE bull/buck is a bit skewed. There were obviously mature animals that represented that herd this year. As someone who struggles to even find legal animals on public in Florida, just having meat in the freezer would be nice. Again, y’all are in a different situation to be a bit picky though.

Damn fellas! I had to take 3 snack breaks during this one!! Camp chow looking good as always! Great film, good call B-mack.
Hello from India .. came across your few months back .. totally enjoying it !
Welcome 👏🏼 And thanks for the kind words.
Man that picture of your pops from back in the day. Looks exactly like you now man. Spitting image. Hahah
Great outlook! Great video.
Glad to be here early love the videos!
Really liked your video! Cant wait to get in the elk woods again.
After everything said and done, 19 years, that's a hard pill to swallow but completely understand
Respect!
Dude you look just like your dad!! crazy!!
Go with Yokohama tires. We run them on our logging crummies and love them. We go with the mud terrain
BMAC -awesome
Great video BMAC
I am a tire guy from scottsbluff nebraska and usually when you have a rock in you tire the tire is no good because it has broken the cords in the tire and no patch or plug will fix it
But i would recommend the Falken wildpeak AT3W in a 10 ply does great on the highway and great off road
@Hushin. is this real
Been enjoying your videos new format but, did I miss what state this hunt was in? I enjoy comparing animals from state to state. Greatly appreciate all your content.
Great video, I just found your channel and I love it. What state is this hunt in? Looks familiar to my home
Any chance you’d share what unit this is so we can avoid burning points on it? As always I enjoy the content greatly!
I believe this is an Idaho hunt so you won’t burn any points. I believe this is also the same tag that Brailee had a few years back.
Not Idaho and yes points were spent. That's all the info you'll get.
@@shaenealbr8144 there’s no point system in Idaho I believe
They bought the tag.
Black were you using one of EXOs test K4 packs on this hunt?
If you buy a hdmi adapter for iPhone you can plug it into the hdmi cord on the tv and watch whatever’s on your phone that’s how I watch you guys or Netflix at the cabin.
You guys are great hunters. It almost seems illegal that six people can hunt when only one person has a tag. The elk doesn't have a chance of escaping 12 eyes and ears. Its more exciting to watch only one person hunt DIY.
I’ve gone home to enjoy tag soup more than I have a good tenderloin. So true, BMac… success doesn’t always mean you filled your tag.
Matt just beggin' for the Barstool Outdoors crossover episode.
Tip... Plugs work on suspension air bags too
What state were you guys in? Looks like AZ??
Bfg ko2 one best tire you can buy! Never popped one!
Congratulations on 400 K 🪅🎊🤩.
That's a shame hopefully you get Him next year BMack 🤗.
JO JO IN VT 💞💨❄️⛄
Good ol Nevada!
General tire sponsors some ppl I know that do expedition travel. They might be worth reaching out to
Bmack kept saying he wanted to shoot a good “representative”of the area.
So what do I do from here?
Great video! Everyone is sound mixing the whispering way too loud. Use subtitles and keep the sound mix normal!
Great to see you get some videos, Eric's been hogging it all by drawing too many tags 😀 😉 😜
Love the videos but hated the 12 min videos last years u done I absolutely positively love the full length videos by the way u miss ur old job at Weyerhaeuser lol
Sad that I can't give a thumbs up. 😕 NOT going to finish watchig
What unit is this?
Casey-Bronco or Charger fan?
Great hunt even though you decided not to punch your tag.
BMac sorry that you did not get the punch the elk tag that you had in your pack.
We’re the video guys lol come on we all can’t be at the expo
1Great hunt BMack, way to go not shooting a meat bull and letting them grown another year!!!
What state is that?
@mj2kallday1 text sent
Is this Idaho or Utah
I’m almost positive it’s Idaho
Those are bald tires and load range C if they are stock = not good for off road.
Oh Casey buy some
New tires every one knows factory tires suck!!!
As a Trail Boss owner that had to change a tire on a 2 track in the dark 45 minutes before first light. I can 100% agree with that. I'll be putting BFH KO2s on before next season.
Falken wild peak at3w
Great video!! I think sometimes there is to much made of killing a animal ! I always enjoy the hunt, killing a animal is a bonus !
You get it! I appreciate it 🤘🏼
Like bmac
It's hard for me to understand that if you can't find a giant, you'd rather have no elk than one of the many solid bulls you saw. Even if it's just for the meat. Probably a level I'll never be on
Yeah it’s a weird dynamic I was lucky enough to harvest a bull the month prior with my bow and was willing to gamble and hold off till the last second.
That makes sense, nice work regardless always love the videos
@@gethushinwill we see that hunt later this year?
You guys being in a bit of a different situation than most of us, I can hear my dad saying never pass a buck the first day that you’d love to have on the last day. In some ways I think the idea of a MATURE bull/buck is a bit skewed. There were obviously mature animals that represented that herd this year. As someone who struggles to even find legal animals on public in Florida, just having meat in the freezer would be nice. Again, y’all are in a different situation to be a bit picky though.
