It is a lonely existence being an Aston Villa supporter here in Ireland 🇮🇪 😅 There's a good chunk of lads in their early 40s due to McGrath, Staunton, Townsend and Houghton, and a few elder statesmen too, but for the most part when you watch a match in the pub supporting Villa you are an odd-ball. Last night was different. Very different. The neutrals became Villa supporters for the night and they finally saw the magic of the Claret and Blue. One of the best nights watching Villa in 30+ years... 3 points for them, 6 pints for me. UTV

The fans completely with the players and the noise completely deafening. I honestly can't understand how Unai has achieved this and has us playing this way with pretty much the same squad!

Every Villa player played out of their skin. There wasn’t one player who didn’t step up for this match…probably one of Villa’s greatest performances ever. The way we played was just next level.

O'Neil referred to the 6-4 against Blackburn on Amazon Prime as one of his memories, I'm quite sure I was there for that and that's 1 of mine too. Just want to mention something about Ollie against Bournemouth .They broke on us from a corner in the 5 th minute .. Got to our goal , Ollie who had been at the Villa corner got the tackle in at the other end of the pitch with a minute , absolutely brilliant..
When I saw the sides and their midfield and bench, thought we had a good chance, Stones/Alcaraz and Sideshow Bob couldn't compete with Luiz, Kamara and Tielmans.
missing key players has to be taken into account but we were just on it and without the pace down the wings and a bit of muscle in midfield they looked lacking ideas not many crosses and no corners to deal with,, so defensively we had a relatively easy time thats not going to happen v arsenal fatigue is a concern now but if we can recover in time we go into the arse game full of confidence and with few injuries
