You can buy a new crystal for your watch, it's not to expensive. You'll spend more on the tool to remove the back cover then the new screen or crystal costs. If you do that make sure you get some silicone greese for your gasket back there. I didn't my first time changing a battery and when I went into a hot tub I got water in it. Didn't break it but I learned my lesson.
apparently the west coast casio service location (The Time Machine in Montrose, CA) claims that you cannot just purchase the crystal by itself, and that you have to purchase a whole case for $160.00! that's ridiculous, as a new casio gw 9400 solar rangeman costs $230.00. i'm not sure if they're scamming people or if the price for a case (since i was told that you can't purchase the crystal alone) is really that much money; but like i said for an extra $70 you can purchase another brand new rangeman gw 9400 at amazon...
A testament to the durability of this watch...or just G-shocks in general. Looks like you were able to breathe some "new life" into it and it looks good! Curious, after those years of rough use, do all of the features still function properly? Just picked one up about a month ago and it's beginning to be my favorite (I have a few).
Absolutely. I've had mine for close to 8 years. It's beat up. But, the glass is clean and it works like a charm. I've never even changed the batteries on this bad boy. Amazing watch.
Hi. Did you try using a polishing compound on the Dremel wheel ? In my experience those felt type wheels do nothing or almost nothing without adding a compound. Another option, which I chose for other G-Shock watches was to buy an inexpensive polishing wheel. You could use that on the glass if you removed the bezel first.
I'm gonna figure out how to restore the orginal stuff as much as possible. The band may be a given but the some people would prefer to keep the orginal bezels and if one could figure out how to repair them and bring them back to spec...
1st of all...u can just buy the replacement glass. Another thing, wouldnt it be more easier if u take the bezel off before polishing it since u r gonna change it to a new one later on..?
If u would have used just a DAB of toothpaste with no water u would have got the results u wanted. If u ever watched someone buff a car look at the amount of product they use and how much surface it covers...it's the same thing with that crystal only scaled WAY down
😂😂😂😂😂😂. ; it's pretty FN commonsense that you can't polish harder material with softer material.. and I doubt that toothpaste is harder in mosh scale. than mineral glass why didn't got a new glass??? while got new bezel and straps... don't cost that much usually genuine bezel should include those fake screws 🤔 coloring of bezel seems genuine though.. 🤔🤔🤔
It’s been 5 years… Is it still holding up well? Just got mine last December, really enjoying it.
it's a excellent watch and you do a great job, i hope you don't forget the triple sensor cover
well worn rangeman! love it!

@@b0llos wow! That's crazy.
@@b0llos in Malaysia, there have a seller who sell the glass only and it's 100% an original item. Not so expensive at all.
@@nagasaree6337 any link or shopee to get it?

You can buy essentially a screen protector for it on Amazon or eBay i did and it makes the scratches disappear

How’s your rangeman holding up Burner188?
@@xlilnetx It's awesome as ever! Thanks! Still my favorite in the small collection.
loving the battle scars of your Rangeman! 😍😍😍
But what is your daily activity? Digging with bare hands?
It's sometimes an activity that I do.
@@ProFox- Many complained for broken logs with this model. I see yours like ... that and still no broken logs.

Good vid about a great watch, love mine.
Maybe u should get the gwg mudmaster because it has all the same features as this watch but it even has sapphire glass so it won’t be scratched
did your watch have lug problem?
Did you find a solution for the scratching on the face? They look pretty deep.......
No, but I haven't tried buffing the face again.
I found a website that sells new glass for the watch
@@kratos7678 Wow. Lots of parts! Good job.
Yea its awesome i have a Green Rangeman and i just ordered parts to make it a black Rangeman with a negative display.
@@kratos7678. I am have a couple of negative display g shocks. Love them. 😁
Headlight polish and a deemed works wonders on these crystals

The yelling at 9:45 though in the background 😳
Haha, I honestly have no idea. Maybe the TV in the other room?
If you don't know, I hope it was a TV for sure lol@@ProFox-
make a video doing a review of the functions with your watch in the next video
Get like a 2000 grit sand paper with soap and water and polish the glass, then use the polishing wheel you were using to clear the hazed glass.
He could actually go much coarser to get those gouges out and step his way back up to a clear polish if need be
dude you forget your METAL RETAINER from the original strap
How will i get the costume
Try using polywatch paste
may i know whats is your job?
Great video! The watch is ready for more years of service! Maybe a smartphone screen product could help for the scratches! Cheers!
Hi.. can you give us the links to get the replacement parts?
I posted up top
@@tomw2842 yes man my bad.. thanxx
Really brother you are so sweet
What you do for the lens scratches?
I wasn't able to get the deep scratches out unfortunately.
Should have started with wet 2000 grit then polish
More of replacement of two components. A restoration breaks fir watch down to it smallest parts, clean and/or replace them reassemble.
Not bad !
I would suggest you to buy a new replacement glass maybe sapphire because sapphire won’t get any scratches except from diamonds

You've got more chance of platting shit than you have of getting those scratches out with toothpaste lol
Na takie rysy to papier wodny 800, 1500, 2500 a dopiero potem polerowanie szkła... I miałbyś jak nowy!
Perfect watch.
It will be easier if you buy a screen protector that only cost $4. Maybe they havent produce the screen protector in the year you bought the watch.
Look you said that u repair stuff but the watch looks like u went in a war with it 🤔🤔
Maybe you just probably give away that watch
Can't polish cristal glass
This watch show how rough ur job is
Wrong, u never changed to the next quarter of us watch after the 30 second timer
For glass Polish big 😂 😂 😂
You have no idea what you are doing 🤣🤣🤣🤣 tell us the truth!!
So funny to watch though, I loved it. Hey you have to start somewhere.
I never believed in toothpaste in doing jack shit lol Polywatch however, especially the solution for glass with a dremel works wonders.
You son't have a clue, right?

Oo and by the way, that's not a speaker, is the sensor. 🤣🤣
The parts that you buy is not original from casio , luck closely .
I'm out
I wouldn't have wasted my time or money on it either keep wearing it till its completely gone or just buy a new one those rangemans aren't that much.
That's dumb
